I'm confused.
Fair enough.Guessing our answer?
I'm working on something, but I'm unsure of it.
Fair enough.
Personally, I'm disinclined to join up with Task Force VALKYRIE... IIRC, they're dedicated to eradicating all the supernatural factions. They're government spooks, and tend to be the sort that go "kill 'em all to protect the general public" from the couple games I've played that ran into 'em.
Basically, yeah.I've only ever read about them in the Hunter: The Vigil. From what I gather, they're essentially the "Good Guys who do Bad Things for Sorta Good Reasons" group.
They want to help humans, but do so by being exceedingly horrible towards supernaturals in general.
Edit: Then again, I suppose it's up to the ST on whether they're one or the other.
Basically, yeah.
Honestly, they're great to have as allies... but if you're an "Extra-Normal" (which Malcolm totally is), then it's not a fun place to work. Especially because they're basically the Men In Black, only their policy on dealing with Extra-Normals is to kill them with vicious impunity using specialized weaponry. They also have a nasty habit of killing anyone that threatens to reveal the truth about the supernatural to mundane folks...
Oh, and they're basically operated by the government, but without any real oversight. And yet... they're still run using a nightmarish bureacracy and tons of red tape. *shudders*.
Task Force: VALKYRIE: MIBs, conspiracy creators, and America's last line of paranormal defense. Great story, but the execution isn't quite as neat as it sounds. They're composed of various government entities (i.e. military, law enforcement, and so on) and designed to prevent supernatural subversion, but in practice it's a bureaucratic clusterfuck that can barely keep track of which monsters they're supposed to be killing - this naturally draws ire since performing their duties entails watching literally everyone, themselves included. But at least they get to carry around a laser cannon and ghost-killing bullets when they need to. Oh, and only some of the top brass know that most of their budget secretly comes from vampires using the organization to deal with their rivals.
Malcom's reactions, his immediate answer (yes, no, give me more information, etc) and any questions or concerns he might have. Sorry if I was unclear.I'm confused.
Write Ins for what?
Naomi just gave an introduction, and then you're asking for Write Ins, but not clarifying what to Write In for...
There is a reason for this, and a lot of it relates to her character arc (assuming you go down that path). For now I'll just say that while the gameline of the Chronicles of Darkness assumes that each splat exists in a vacuum, Heroes: Great and Might does not and assumes that the splats are interacting with each other all the time.Soooo that's a thing. Just so everybody knows, a Warlock/Mastigos Mage has the powers of Mind and Space. While Task Force: VALKYRIE is a US government operation dedicated to hunting down and eliminating the inexplicable with very big guns. So Naomi can read (possibly control) peoples' thoughts and find (possibly go) anywhere. And she does this in service of destroying the weird for national security.
What I'm saying is she is likely not the most trustworthy person around.
i like thisI know what the Compact she's talking about is, however, I'm very much unfamiliar with every nuance of WoD.
Here's a prototype/tentative vote. It's not complete, so advice would be welcome.
[] "Ok, then. I'll help you."
[] "Two caveats. First, My sister doesn't get involved. EVER. If anything happens to her, I'm going Scorched Earth. On everyone. If something happens to me, she gets out of the city and given a better life. And I mean BETTER. Second, no experiments. I don't want to wake up on a lab table, completely naked, with half my organs out because they want to see what makes me tick."
[] "In return, I'll help out your 'Agents' when I can."
Thats... way too much?i like this

With this consideration in mind, I refuse to believe that at one point some higher up at TFV never thought to themselves "Say, why don't we get a few of the good-ish supernaturals types on our side and throw them at the bad supernaturals?"
Oh, I see it now, my mistake.I gotcha. I wasn't complaining about a Mage working for TF: V. That makes total sense. I was just warning against trusting a Mage who works for TF: V. Especially a Warlock.
Are you sure you don't mean Maggie?
