I'll wait for the minor characters slots, since that's more my speed :p

Edit: what range of minor characters are you looking for? Mostly relatively important characters, like the heads of knightly orders or less influential churches like the church of Morr, or down to and including things like spies and mercenary leaders and the like?

^ same I wrote two bad claims and I would be okay with either, but I don't want a country and would probably be perfectly happy with one of the minor instead.

Minor characters are expected to be around the ballpark of a knightly order, generally speaking, so anything that has something to actually offer on the scale of a state. Knights can offer martial prowess, one of the other Cults would have a fair amount of social influence within a limited scope, you could maybe swing a spymaster or the head of one of the prominent Universities etc.

I mean you are, as far as I can tell, the only person to apply for the Ar-Ulric who actually submitted a character decision (I think @Alectai said they were going to do so but they haven't gotten around to it yet) so...

I would be quite happy with Ar-Ulric but I'm at work and haven't had the time to submit a good one so I assumed it had no choice.

Either way, I would be happy with it, or possibly happy with a minor if someone with more time ATM does post a better one.

Hochland and Nordland are going to be interesting choices, since they've both got four separate applications for them, and Wissenland isn't far behind with three. I'll need to pick carefully here, and I'm pretty gratified that we've got a bunch of interest being expressed.

As I said in my initial post, I could very easily rework Erina into the Regent of Nuln as opposed to Regent of Wissenland once minor character slots become available. Though I'll be the first to admit that it might be a tad difficult for someone to be playing Wissenland while someone else plays Wissenland's major city.

I could also transform Johann into just the grandmaster/Ulricsson of the Order of the Winter Throne if another Nordlander character takes the lead?

I've been cooking up a sheet for a while, but haven't had the time to finish and post yet. Any way I can ask for an extension of a few hours? It's an Ostland application, about a stubborn, cheap traditionalist.

OK then, the following are our major characters/factions for the game:

The MootElder Eldrood 'Thunderspoon' Greentoe@comradepitrovsky 2020 (20)

All numbers subject to change as I figure out how to best represent the current state of your fortunes, but relative to each other they should be enough for a benchmark. Remember you need to pay five capital a turn per army in upkeep.

I am now opening applications for the various minor factions of the Empire, which will be done on more of a first come, first served basis - submit a character writeup for a specific faction and, if I like it, you're in. There are three broad categories that I might suggest for possible sources of minor factions:
  • Knightly Orders of the Empire, which can generally muster several thousand heavy cavalry each and are connected to noble families the length and breadth of the Empire, but which have limited financial clout and little formal power.
  • Cults of the Empire, with the high priest of the faith among Sigmar's Folk. Ursun and the Lady are not permitted, by virtue of being patron gods of foreign lands, but the others are all open.
  • Major noble families, organisations and/or guilds located in one or more of the Elector States. Note that there is an additional criteria for this entry; you must get the permission of the player controlling the area before I will approve your submission for the game.

So @Wade Garrett I look forward to working with you in our efforts to cleanse Sylvania of the influence of the undead and @comradepitrovsky I believe that it will likely be a good idea for both our people that we endeavor to keep conflict between Stirland and the Mootland to a minimum right?

I look forwards to the traditional relationship between Pope and Emperor in this fantasy HRE.

Well I'm broke considering I'm supposed to have a ton of knights and only 20 income.
:p

Aww for fuck's sake, I was literally just writing my character up, now I wasted all that effort.

It wouldnt take too much effort to change that into a Grand Master of the White Wolves I think.

It would actually, I was trying to write up a worldly reformer who ended up in command of the Cult of Ulric because he did enough heroic shit on his wide journeys and was of good enough blood that nobody protested when he was nominated.

I assume I probably pay for like half of your army and you know the divine ice wolf magic.

Possibly or it's a matter of the "martial priest" trait, that I'm not paying for them as an army, because unless I call them up, they aren't they are a bunch of wandering, (or stationed forces) doing various things.

It makes sense that I start paying (logistics) when they all are in one place.

Either way, I'm thinking we pool some cash into defenses of the north.

No that would still work as a Grand Master I think. You would just be next in line to take control of the Cult and get away with it due to being a heroic warrior that can keep your seat as the Heir since due to Ulfrican culture often the Grandmaster is the best person to take over if the current Al-Ulfric dies. The White Wolves have a lot of influence anyways.

Oh that

You flatly don't pay upkeep on your knights or priests. They're sustained by their own funds, background income and the favour of the gods/donations from pious citizens.
