Welp, I'm back. So, after looking back at my previous posts, I can only see mayhem. Not enough information and stuff like that. Because of that, I'm going to have a kind of 'system' to make the LP less messy.
Every new month, I'm going to display the Production, Technology, politics and Intelligence tab.
...as good as this game is, naming ships isn't one of them. Ignore the name on the picture, I'll give them their real name when they're deployed.
And we're going to get our spies until at least 50, so basically... around 25 days.
...have I mention how I love delays?
Still nothing new here.
This time. we're going to do this properly. My focus are now at the Coffees, Vodkas and Tea.
The spies are going to increase the Vodkas threat to make nations near them to join the Axis because without a threat, lots of nations won't bother to.
The Teas will have to secure their technology because our spies are going to take them! I'm sure they have something good in naval technology because, you know, they're Teas.
The Coffees, however, is our main priority. we need information on their military. We're going to come to blows the most when we join in World War 2. If my plan goes smoothly though, we can lessen the hits taken.
Before any of that, we need to neutralize their spies. The reason my spies were dropping faster than rain is because their spies are neutralizing mine. So, our spies are going to kill theirs first and only when they only have 1 or 2 left to counterespionage they can continue their objective. And when there's more, we kill the new spies first, Rinse and repeat.
On the training laws side, I'm going to change it to basic training. The specialist training is not worth it. The production queue is taking too long and I'm afraid of being unprepared for the Sino-Japan Conflict.
The engineer brigades and a new division is finished. To the front lines you go!
Off you go to the borders.
I now have 1 corps ready for action! And only... 33 divisions, about 7 Corps to go...
That's enough spies for now. We can finally continue our much needed research.
Not when you've decided to double your mobile forces despite the fact you already have two full tank armies and 6 infantry armies plowing through Poland plus another 2 infantry armies moving into the Balkans. I'm actually currently thinking I'll only deploy one of the new tank armies with the new army group that's been slated (which, in case you haven't been keeping track, does mean I already have four additional infantry armies ready to go behind the lines) to roll through the Balkans while the other will go to the Far Eastern theater in preparation for the invasion of Manchuria.

Well, it's not true OTL Soviet spam. The entirety of my army is something like between 4-5 million men. OTL, the Soviets were deploying 6.5 million against the Germans alone. Then again, that's probably cold comfort to the Germans here: I encircled and crushed the bulk of their army against the Pripyet Marshes, after all.

@Firekicker1, please tell me you didn't actually scrap ships you had under production just because you improved your naval tech. Lie to me if you must, because I thought I read you decide to do precisely that earlier in the thread.

You can unclench now. The AI US never commits to the total Industrial focus a player needs to do to pull this off. It involves several early researches, and a lot of sacrificing of military power in the lead up. However, if I hadn't made a few screw up and implemented a better build and research order, I likely could have had 1200 effective IC in January of 1942.
<.< >.> I'm really really good at ECO management, but godawful at getting HoI3's Combat mechanics to work for me.

This is one of those things the game needs to tell you, because unlike in say Rule the Waves, That North Carolina I ordered turned into an Iowa before I finished it,

And ships can't be upgraded period. However, Carrier Air Groups can be upgraded.
This is why carrriers are the strongest capital ship. Even your older carriers are able to fight and stand a chance. However, this is pirely because their power comes from an air unit.
And therefor the actual part that does the fighting is constructed on it's own as a air wing.
They actually almost always finish first provided nothing else is being produced.

Holy shit, it's already December! It's almost a full year! And I accomplished...nothing. Fuck.
Same old, same old.
Fucking hell, our marines wouldn't be useful for the war against the Opiums because they're too damn slow. I guess we have to rely on our Infantry divisions for the naval landings.
Still nothing new here, other than a jump in popularity.
Meanwhile in the Vodkas,Teas and Coffees land, our spies are dueling it out with the theirs , James Bond style. From the looks of it, they'r doing very good.
Looks like the preparation for Operation Blitzkrieg is going smoothly. The tech on the life will reduce by 24 hours every time it is researched. very useful if you're Germany. As Japan, you can conquer liberate Malaya, Burma and India. The Teas won't have enough time to transport a new corps to defend them. I'm guessing both Malaya and Burma will have 1 corp each while India has 3 corps.
In other news, our battleships become more obselete.
What was the counter for the battle ready divisions again? I'll check later.
MORE DAKKA FOR THE DAKKA GOD! Unfortunately, this one didn't increase the counter.
Much faster repair rate is vital for us. Because we can't make ships as much as Coffees like a rabbit reproducing, it's critical for us to to fix them as fast as possible to get them join back the battle.
Oh, I forgot about this. My 1st division from the academy is finally finished! You guys can join in the naval landings squad at Osaka.
Happy New Years! As your present, this year won't be as boring as last year because this year, we're finally going to war! Hurray for death and suffering!
While I won't build AA guns, having efficiency to use them after taking a province that has one is in important. Don't want our (will be) new weapons to be useless now, do we?
The upgrade ain't much, but every little bit counts. No way am I having the DD-kids to be as fragile as they are. No one is sinking on my watch.
Holy crap! More tech this month? What a way to start the year! My kindergarden teachers BBs becomes even more tanky than before! Sadly, this only applies to new ones. Other than their radar, you can't upgrade ships.
YES! GIVE ME ALL THE DAKKA!
More? What the hell? Are my scientist finally getting their shit together? It'll cost a few IC, but It's worth it.
More IC for upgrades, but who cares? Guess who's getting a raise this year?
And, that's it for this month. Here's the monthly review for January at the end of the month, totally not because I forgot to screenshot at the start of the month.
How's our spies doing?
FOR FUCKS SAKE COFFEES, STOP MAKING MORE IC! Are the ones you have not enough?!
A little bit more, then we can increase their threat.
Holy shit, that's a lot of convoys. Remind me to make more convoys, because you can never have to many convoys. Trust m-
