Please tell me you have the new chapter ready? Pretty please with a cherry on top.

I've got the next one in the pipe.

Beyond that...

Please, this is Pale Wolf we're talking about. Now that he's caught up, he'll start a new story and maybe deign to throw an update here every few years.

If it's any consolation, my muse does appear to be playing around one I've *gasp* already started.

When I read the bit about Harry telling Shahrizad and Assassin about Saber and her Master, I couldn't help but think the following:

"Rejoice, Emiya Shirou! Your wish to punch Kotomine Kirei in the face shall be granted!"

Well, Shirou doesn't know yet. (It seemed mean to have that reaction offscreen, so I delayed it)

But that is like the best part of going to another universe. Like, what other reason could you have?

Sweet, now that SV's version is caught up with SB's version... we can get new chapters! Pale Wolf, looking forward to the next chapter! And yes, I'm sure there are other reasons to go to another universe, but this IS Shirou we're talking about too...

Heh. Hermione's "it began with 'but'. You're wrong." (Didn't copy paste, may not be exact) still amuses.

How did I miss this story on SB for so long? It's great and has the funniest interpretation of Harry I've seen in a long time. Not to mention some pretty unique Servants which is always fun. Watch'd

Heh, glad to see you're enjoying. One benefit of the SV reshuffle seems to be that people who previously didn't spot things are seeing them now.

Just found this story now; I'm loving it so far (well, okay, I'd found it before, but this fic ended up in my "Huh, looks like an interesting story, and I've liked previous stories that this author has written, but will inexplicably put this into my list of stories to read later" pile. Which is a shame.)

It is kind of interesting to see the dynamics of a Grail War in which the Grail is (probably) uncorrupted; I got into F/SN through fanfiction, so I had that little plot twist spoiled for me right off the bat, so I never really had a chance to try and figure out who I wanted to root for, since I knew that any of them winning would probably be a bad thing.

This Kotomime, unless I missed something, seems to be pre-Zero in terms of characterization (unless I missed something, though he did say rejoice, and that's never a good sign).

Which is almost a shame, since for however much of a bastard he is, he's kind of fun once he embraces his nature, and seeing him interact with the HP cast (as well as your OCs) might be interesting.

His character's still interesting per-revelation, though, so, uh, don't take that as a complaint or anything.

I... think I'll wait to comment more until I'm sure that my comments won't retread ground covered by the SB thread.

Though, one thing I put in my list of things to say; Dumbledore thinking that he had intended to "unleash a team of bros unlike the world had never seen?"

That statement... I liked it, but it almost felt... jarring?

I mean, I can kind of imagine him saying it, because being a bit odd is entirely in character for him, but it took some thinking for the thought to fit.

(I feel vaguely like I'm rambling, but I just wanted to provide something a bit more substantive than a chain of likes)

I have a lot of those. There's only so much time and so much to read...

Heh. Yeah, that does rather change the experience.

He's not quite pre-Zero, but not post-Zero either. He was in an unstable point as of Zero (I mean, er, his wife had just committed suicide and he'd sent his daughter to be raised by relatives because of low self-image), and Gilgamesh hopped on it. Here, he had the chance to psychologically stabilize.

The 'rejoice' may indicate that he's had character development - but on his own initiative, without it being framed according to Gil's whims.

He's found his answer.

Yeah, that was commented on SB. That felt like the best way to put it, though opinions clearly vary.

No worries, it's always nice to have commentary.

I can't banish scene where Shirou regale Kirei with story of how they met in Shirou's Grail War and how it went from there, would work best if both were getting drunk.

"Every hack can get his sadistic joy by simply committing moral atrocities. That is the low path of an unimaginative thug or a serial killer that I refuse. It takes true skill to get the same amount of joy out of just simply exquisitely... irritating people. By embarrassing them by gently, yet firmly, exposing their own many faults. To use just enough irony, with a teaspoon of sarcasm. All to teach them valuable moral and life lessons, of course. And I do so enjoy helping people." -

Poor Dalton. First, Harry throwing around Avada Kevadra like it's going out of fashion. How he is about to brief his Minister in Holy Grail War.

Pity she already heard it from japanese participants.

The inevitable fate of a reasonable authority figure dealing with the Holy Grail War.

Not enviable, to say the least.
