Halkegenia Online Thread 11: Eh, she'll get the familiar eventually . . .

Not bad, but as far as I'm concerned, there can be only ONE Pumpkin King, and his name is Jack.

And now I am imagining that a Pumpkin King spawns at the site where Rip Jack was killed and/or buried, and something goes terribly, wonderfully wrong...

"Skeleton Jack might catch you in the back!~"

All hail the Pumpkin King!!

Speaking of songs, was I the only one who thought "Magia" by Kalafina (ending of Puella Magi Madoka Magica) was rather fitting for Louise goes Magical Rampage in chapter 10?

I think the reason why Asuna is not considered royalty is because she isnt involved as much as the FLs she also isnt held up to the same by the rest of the fae which is why she isnt thought of like that.

Sakuya is there from day one she is constantly doing her best for her people the nobles like her and its clear her people do as well.

Once Asuna gets going though I think they will start thinking of her as a Battle goddess which means Kirito is a lucky man indeed which will turn eyes to Yui yeah I see lots of boy hunting in Kirito's future.

On a more personal Note I am now no longer Tubed!!!!! YES! MWEHAHAHAHA!
I just got it removed and it HURT not the worst pain I have ever had but up there for sure. I suggest you dont try it. I am sore and I have a hole in my side, stabbing shooting HA, but so long as nothing is wrong I should be better in a few days which means....SHOWERS! Oh Lovely lovely showers.

Edit
as for Wardes yes it says that for the STORY but I was talking about Zero Lns not the STORY so........

Brimir help them all if Cardinal gave some of them the ability to reproduce asexually.
I'm going to send you to a high level area, known as "Perfection Valley". It is known to have giant earthworms that make landing a hazard, thermal-vision pack bipeds that reproduce by parthenogenesis after eating a carcass and make landing even more hazardous, and jumping/floating versions of the latter with backwards oriented reactive engine of a natural variety.

Heh. Awesome. Just to point out, given that Pixies are naturally attuned, err attuned to nature and Yggdrassil, it isn't all that farfetched they will manage to find a decent cocoa substitute with their skills and noses. :)

I'm still questioning why Asuna isn't SS rank.
Because this isn't DBZ, where an attack that will nuke a city will just feel like a gentle breeze if you're level 9000.

Only thing "ranks" mean in Halk, is how powerful/advanced your magic is, and has been noted no matter how powerful a person is, they can bleed just as easily as any other human being. Thus a bullet to the head will kill any Fae or mage just as well as a bolt of lightning or fireball.

I noticed in this snip that Sakuya is seen as a quite important figure by the various local nobles as well. Though this kind of makes me wonder how Asuna is viewed, she has atleast some of the same things Sakuya does, and it should atleast be obvious that she is some what Unique amongst the Faerie. Though it's probably a mystery what that really means.
Depends on who you ask. Sakuya, Alicia, Mort, etc. are definitely held in higher regard by the Tristain people, while Asuna is probably much more iconic to the Royalists, and likely is better known in Albion, depending on how well rumors have spread about a 'daughter of Medb' from places like Queenswall or such.

Then there's the how the Pixies take to her unique status.

To add to this it's likely different sorts that hold each in their regards.

For Mort it would probably be the old military boy's and for Sakuya the ladies of the court.

We can't see Sakuya/Morthimer yet, but that is for TH to fix (so far so good).

So as ships go:

Kirito/Asuna
I would like to petition that the KiritoXAsuna be classified as a land mass or some sort of unsinkable carrier.

Or a craton its too stable to be a mere 'ship'

I think Asuna would be viewed like Karin. Not so much a political as a military asset/legend. So far she has not done enough (aside from saving Wales) to be the same political heavyweight as Sakuya or Mort. Though having Wale's ear is worth something.

Kirito and Asuna have a stable relationship, but that doesn't mean their relationship is unsinkable (none are) as thus their ship is already build cruising the seas of life waiting to do battle with the enemies that could try to sunk it.

Realistically speaking given the two's ages and personalities the likelihood of them not breaking up at least a couple of times is rather low.

Someone is a cynic.
I doubt you are going to be right fighting together having their backs to each other the emotional growth they have together in universe is VERY deep.
I can understand them fighting it out a couple of times but the simple fact of the matter Asuna is never going to find someone who understands her like Kirito does nor Kirito for someone like Asuna.

Relationships dont sink because of age but rather effort put into it. Its one of the big things people have forgotten a Relationship is not an easy answer nor is it simple its complex Kirito and Asuna get that they may have their differences but they are more then willing to work them out.

Kirito is willing to dive back into a game that has to be like his worst nightmare just to save her and canonically go through intense Pain just for her.
Asuna was willing to risk her life for him to make the ultimate sacrifice for him.

I am sorry but I feel you are wrong they have too much history and feelings to break up Fight yes break up no.

The two's entire relationship up to the end of SAO was all of a month.

And the less said about a psychological breakdown of their feelings for each other the better, because it wouldn't be pretty.

Though the biggest trials for their marriage are likely to spring up when they are no longer being forced to play "Hero's".

-not so- Small correction: Their marriage was about a half month. Their relationship was an [<Indeterminable]> number if interactions starting about a month into the game.

"No, Bardiche-kun. They're doing what we might be doing very shortly. Do you mind if I spend the night?"

Being in a two year life or death situation where you depend on one another for survival, tends to develop close feelings of camaraderie, if not close affection and trust.

Feel like making a Persona joke about social links here. You know the one.

Not really. Especially when one remembers that they also have an adorable little psychologist that has a stake in keeping their relationship healthy.

Sorry Freud, but each loves the other enough to lay down their lives. That's not exactly the elements of transient romances one finds in jr high crushes.

Yeah, sure. They're still largely in their Honey Moon phase. Still not seeing any evidence suggesting that they'd eventually end up separated. At least, no evidence beyond one's need for angst.
