Great Grand-Uncle Schimmelhorn's Toolbox

Why are people assuming that Edgar Dallon Poe can't access Beneath yet?
Amy has only recently gotten a glance at Taylor's brain and knows there's something odd about it. She hasn't had a chance for in depth study, yet, so she can't try applying any of that "difference" to Edgar yet.

If Edgar *does* already know about 'beneath', and can use it, there's a whole new layer of strange going on that's gonna have everyone scratching their heads over.

Now Taylor needs to double her Nazi count. Twins next? It'd be good to have a matched set to compare gemma configurations.

Basically? Because all shinies within a π-dimensional radius have not already disappeared into one or many ravens' Pockets. If you boil it right down, that's the reason. Any other suggested reason there's a potential explanation, but if you expect me to believe that a raven with access to Benath has not immediately yoinked every shiny they can see or perceive without traditional sight, well I'm sorry, but that's a bridge too far for my suspension of disbelief.

( :D )

Taylor has now got a Nazi with mind powers (Victor), and one with body powers (Alabaster). So, she can compare and contrast their shards. Then, feed QA what she learns, from a human viewpoint. [DATA]! What QA would do with that data is an interesting question...

Of course, she (Taylor and/or QA) could experiment, by partially connecting one shard to the other one, or to the other one's host. And, visa versa. Just to see what happens. Are there ethical issues about using murderous nazis for experiments? Some might have doubts.

And, or course, "Further experimentation is required". Fortunately, subjects are practically lining up to volunteer!

Even, suitably trained ravens could collect 'volunteers' that have shiny metallic labels on their backs, which say, 'Steal Me!'.

Edgar has apparently already demonstrated a tendency to get things from places he shouldn't be able to reach, then put them in other places he shouldn't be able to reach. As such, "Edgar can access Beneath" is still on the table as possible, and "has not yoinked all shinies" isn't a disproving fact. Besides which, you assume that those other then Taylor can use Beneath to see across the multiverse and across insane distances. When instead it's been implied that Taylor is the exception that proves the rule, and others are only able to use it to see through objects within their normal range of vision.

So when is Amy going to grow herself a treehouse that also happens to be a internet server at the same time?
Perhaps a bit Tenchi Muyo, but who actually cares???
As long as she doesn't make this treehouse as big as the trees from the Wookie home-world...

Who would not like to have their own server databanks, for free?
You might like to recall that the group of raven live in a nearby wood. Amy probably doesn't want them all moving in with her, so, maybe if Amy went to said wood, 'enhanced' the area with such things as Internet-connected trees, that connect wirelessly to ravens, embedded storage and a bit of processing power, the odd acorn that tastes like bacon, they might not want to 'move house'?

How much 'not living with a flock of ravens' would be needed to persuade Carol that this course of action, a bit of... urban improvement, would be a good Amy project?

The Simurgh might not approve of this...

I know there is at least one omake in there about a flock of color coded Ravens attempting to perch on Amy and Amy making very confused noises about dem legs.
It would probably help people visualise things if you mention that these are the humanoid Ravens, say of the Teen Titans tv series. And, that they are... somewhat bare-legged, and roughly the same height as Amy...

Unless, of course, they're ponies. I guess that's a possibility, if QA and Shaper really have fun... Of course, you get twice the number of legs...

Well, one thing to considering about if Edgar does have powers and if he does, why has he not used it; Amy found him near death so there is a story behind that.

Maybe something in the underneath did not like him abusing his ability and gave him a lesson. Maybe the guy is lying low hence why he doesn't use his powers willy nilly.

I honestly prefer him being a normal bird atm but learns "the way" from observing Taylot and Lisa using it.

We've heard of were-wolves (and, maybe, were-gazebos... ('dread' or otherwise)). The 'were' bit means 'man' (human).

So, maybe, Edgar ate something he shouldn't have, and he's a raven-gnurr?

Walking up to someone you'd only just met and saying, 'Do you mind if I examine your brain because it's weird and I find that interesting' seemed like a pretty good way to get some very strange looks followed by quite a lot of running away…

Oh Amy...most of the time you'd be right, but with this crew? Lisa would bust out laughing (possibly preceded by a deer-in-headlights moment while her power fills her in on what Shaper is thinking), Anne would be quietly bemused/"this is my life now", and Taylor would be like, "huh, I guess that makes sense. Now I'm curious. Go ahead, tell me what you find?" The biggest risk for Amy is the ensuing headache—not a Thinker headache, just a regular old "what the actual fuck is going on" headache.

@mp3.1415player Are you setting up a crossover so that A Kernel of Truth's Mal gives Amy some instruction on how to use/treat raven minions?
Hmm...

Now there's a thought :D
It would make an interesting visit from the Irish fellow around the end of this month, wouldn't it. After all, ravens are one of the species that are traditionally linked to the supernatural, so Mal could very well pop by what should be a nearby address along the Fae Paths if her attention is attracted for some reason, like possibly Taylor demonstrating a new resonance crystal for Papa's gnurrpfeife.

Of course the question is, did she come like that stock, or was it an aftermarket mod? Would Amy scanning any of the others that have been learning Papa's tricks show a similar though lesser difference? Taylor's been grokking Papa's stuff easier than anyone she's tried to teach, but she has successfully taught them, so...
That, or that's how Shaper interprets the communication block Taylor added for Queenie's improved connection.

Quartet take powers from flacons.
QA from Zion cant rules dead fragments from Eden. How was braiwash Alexandria???

Ok, wow. Catching up on a few days of being offline, I flagged your original post for a reply-with-links, and as I get to the end of the thread I see I got Imp'd… by less than five minutes.

Yeah. The Thinker network very nearly doesn't exist. Canon (I think) has Leet's shard as the only 'natural' Thinker one named (PtV is a special case...) - I'll cheerfully be corrected on this. Possibly more important, Eidelon's vial shard ('High Priest') is the Thinker equivalent to QA, and we've seen how this undeployed shard has caused... a few issues. (*cough* Endbringers *cough*)

If 'High Priest', which was in use with no effective power source, but without proper constraints, has such general capabilities, what could QA do with full power capabilities, if she really let rip?

... You know all those fanfics with QA post-Golden Morning somehow interacting with a much earlier point in the (or a...) Worm-verse time-line? Most of those, that is QA being restrained. ...

Geez, that's got almost as much cheese in it per-volume as a chupequaso, and a chupequaso is literally just melted cheese wrapped in fried cheese!
