Welcome! Updates are pretty infrequent, so any time you feel like generating some discussion is fine![x] To further her relation with one of her classmates. It was the reason she came here after all.

This quest is great! I'm glad I discovered it on the quest recommendation thread, although I'm not sure I'll be able to vote and interact regularly.
We have 5 weeks in character, or probably about 15 updates, until the 'surprise' happens and all heck breaks loose. And with that, yet another week started. It would be the last with fixed classes. After this, Lirra would have four more weeks to try out whatever classes took her fancy. Then she would need to decide what to learn for the following year.
I don't have a way to check right now (no internet at home atm) but low quality/just the basics is affordable.Welcome! Updates are pretty infrequent, so any time you feel like generating some discussion is fine!
Or just talking about who is Best Girl, that works too.
Speaking of generating discussion,
We have 5 weeks in character, or probably about 15 updates, until the 'surprise' happens and all heck breaks loose.
To do list:
Get more out of echoes through meditation
- Probably doing that this week
- Not very useful unless we also pyre some bodies after that, so add that on.
- 3 updates hopefully. 1 to meditate, 2 to nom some dead people.
Talk to Chloe
- General, so we know what magic types to ask about.
- Then about 1-2 types of magic that we think will complement our fighting style.
- this should take 2 updates, 1 for General, 1 for specific? We could instead just ask about General magic and hope that gives us a good idea of what we want.
Go shopping with Lucilia.
- Add in to ask whether she knows anything about the 'surprise' at the end of the second month.
- Her job description as a Bard is in large part 'talk to people,' so she should know much more about it than us by now.
- We should do this sort of soon, so we have more time to prepare.
- 1 update.
To get materials to get the weapons she recovered in better shape.
- We got money for a reason. Let's use it.
- We don't have much money for it, but we really need to find some kind of medical kit or something, otherwise our healing knowledge is nearly useless. If we can get some kind of healing kit, I would prioritize that over fixing our weapons, since our spear is already sort of okay.
- We may be able to add in to take Pupa along, since she wants to go shopping. Maybe if we're lucky Lucilia will teach us both what window shopping is.
- Might have to spend another update to actually get the weapons in shape?
- 2 updates? 1 for buying, 1 for fixing?
This gives us a buffer of 7 updates, which we can use if any of these takes longer than expected, to train our inherited medicine skill, or to pyre more bodies.
More interestingly, we have one week and one weekend until we need to pick classes. I propose that over the weekend we talk to Chloe, so we can decide how many of those classes should be magic classes and which types of magic we should learn.
Other than that, I think we should have at least one healing class (this needs to be magical healing unless we think we can get our hands on a first aid kit), and keep our Sword classes to spear, shield, and battle tactics. Take horseback riding if we can, and if it doesn't get in the way of any other classes.
@Renu, is there any way we can get a first aid kit when we go shopping for stuff to fix our weapons? Are first aid kits cheap enough to buy with either part of a day's wage or a full day's wage (for Lirra, that is)?
@Everyone else, what do you think we should have on the To Do list? Anything I missed?
I don't know, where would you put 'get properly drunk with Alvi and/or his sister' on the priorities list?@Everyone else, what do you think we should have on the To Do list? Anything I missed?
Excellent. Hopefully we can get one along with stuff to fix our weapon(s).I don't have a way to check right now (no internet at home atm) but low quality/just the basics is affordable.
I'm totally on board with this plan, but not right now. Do the meditation first, check the academy's library for lore if that doesn't pan out, then go from there.I don't know, where would you put 'get properly drunk with Alvi and/or his sister' on the priorities list?
Because I am going to vote for it until we do.
Don't know yet, I haven't planned the update, but less than five.
If my assumptions were correct, we have a weekday update (which we're using for meditation) and two weekend updates. The first conversation with Chloe needs to happen before the next weekday update, so it could happen Sunday, leaving Saturday for going shopping with Lucilia. So we're following Sentient Tree's plan? It seems pretty good, although I would push shopping with Lucilia higher (with or without Pupa), since MAKING FRIENDS is our ultimate goal. I don't know how Lucilia would take it if we were to invite Pupa to our maybe-a-date, though...
Oof. That changes my math a bit. 5 weeks, so ~10 free updates. Furthermore, I'm going to advocate for talking to Chloe on Saturday then, and shopping with Lucilia during the next weekday update. To remind everyone (because I keep forgetting), this coming update is a weekday update, and the update we'll be voting on is Saturday, the last voted for update until we get to choose our classes. This means that we need to learn about which types of magic we want to take classes on, by talking to Chloe. Furthermore, Chloe is very likely to open up a lot more to us once we're talking about something that she knows about and is interested in, like magic. We may even be able to convince her to show us some magic by using that telepathy spell she used when we first met her. While planning, remember that unless you want to forgo Lirra the cute capitalist goat, at least one day must be spent at Cuimideas. As it's a job, unless it's for the Academy, you can't exactly miss it.
@Renu, to confirm, voting to Stay General with magic will tell us a little about all the types of magic, rather than only telling us about how magic works in general (e.g. mana, casting time, prerequisites, etc)?'I apologize for communicating like that, but given the circumstances, I feel it necessary to be sure I'm heard,' a voice resounded in Lirra's head and, if their slight jolt was anything to go by, her companion's too. 'My name is Chloe, and I come from Maath, where I studied. I have an extensive knowledge of different subjects, that I will gladly share with you when needed if you so desire. As my studies also covered the occult arts, I know of a few spells which should be applicable in battle, although my knowledge is at the moment only theoretical.'
Well, you can't really know, but in theory, yes.@Renu, to confirm, voting to Stay General with magic will tell us a little about all the types of magic, rather than only telling us about how magic works in general (e.g. mana, casting time, prerequisites, etc)?
They always were there, but I rolled them on my side. It's just that this one could do bad stuff (tm) so...
