IC, as soon as you Pyre someone, you get their memories. A bit murky and chaotic, though, but you get some skills from there. Delayed purchases is that you need more time to "digest" them, (and the cost is that you need more flashes from various sources to understand it all) but it's pretty much instant.

Of course, given you buy the skills at the lowest level, you don't always get the full mastery of the Pyred, so it could be argued that it takes a long time since you need to save to purchase the higher tiers :V

/人 ‿‿ 人\ And the more time you spend with someone, the more you understand them. That's the reason why important people, people you like, will give you better skills. Make lots of friends and let them die, it's the road to power /人 ‿‿ 人\
Darn it, I was gonna suggest that we hold all our echos when it comes to situational stuff like noble etiquette and only buy skills the moment we need them, but it seems like that flavor of cheese would make no sense in character.

Probably for the best really.

Woo, just caught up.

Disapperaing claws at that.
+1 Likelihood of Tanwen being a dracomorph... or of her being a cat. :p
Some pointed out that she knows quite a bit about dragons blood.
+1 dracomorph.
I dunno I found this kind of cute. Sad too.
Tanwen was suprised (and hurt) about us being uncertain about her and thinking her mean. Like letting your companions die is...wel a normal thing.
+1 emotional damage
+2 racist (because of her saying that other people don't matter)
-1 sociopathy (although she could be faking being hurt about it. She turned away when she sounded hurt by what we said, so it's also possible that she was actually hiding anger at us for not immediately liking her)
+1 changeling (I think. Lirra has slit pupils too, right?)
Here it kind of feels like Tanwen wants to avoid finding these corpses a bit, when we find them it is about 'left us alone' and '(D)ragon' which is important.
I am also intresseted in the What was that, confusion and or suprise.

I dunno, I kind of hope that Tanwen is a dragon so maybe I am projecting.
I agree that it seems like she didn't want us to find the corpses, and was quite eager to brush off the possibility of there being a dragon. My interpretation of the echoes is that Tanwen noticed something was wrong and ran off to save her own skin (...left us alone...), or snuck off to transform into the dragon. Then, the dragon grabbed one of them from behind, giving one of them just enough time to notice that his teammate was gone (...at was that...) before also being ripped apart. The final teammate just got a glimpse of the dragon tearing apart his team before he died too (...ragon...).

Now, shortly about ze others.
It was mentioned by the QM that Pupa was inspired by Pinocio.
She was sent here, told to come here. She was not sure about her need for sleep.
She was very, very cold.
Humonculous or ice spirit?
An ice spirit, that's a cool idea! (I'm sorry, I had to )
Melkorka needs some love, I like this girl.
That and have we given the living armory her spear back?
I think we gave it back at the end of the trial, right?

Know what else is cold and human shaped? Corpses. There's a story about a madman using a few of them to make a new creature, though unlike that poor wretch Pupa at least has a name.

Wel in the quote below Renu mentioned that Lirra is supposed to have sqaure goat-like eyes.
That could suggest that the eye shape is depend on horn type.
On what animal it resembles...Like if we had gotten antlers we would maybe have gotten deer like eyes?
The question then becomes what kind of animal are Tanwens horns, which are quite large in the one picture we have.
She's supposed to have square goat-like pupils. I haven't had the time for a definitive character sheet pic yet. (her horns also curl only once rather than twice)

This is the most accurate picture, ironically enough. Just not the clothes, obviously.
I...
Really want to know the context of this picture.
I just...
I just want to know the story behind this picture.

The only problem with the 'Tanwen is a dragon that killed her own team theory' is...
Wel lack of motive. Yeah she did not like their team and I can believe she would cut her loses and leave them to die against an unbeatable foe like a dragon, but why kill them?
Did she hate them so much?
Or did something so dangerous show up she had to dragon up and could not be bothered with colleteral damage.
If she was a corpse, our hair would start catching on fire and trying to pyre her, I think? Unless maybe it only reacts to evil undead?
It reacts to non-reanimated corpses too, so that can't be right. Granted, we probably haven't encountered any reanimated corpses that aren't trying to kill us/everything, so who knows how Lirra's powers would react to whatever is keeping such a being moving.
The Ashen keeper thing hair doesn't seem like something to me that would have a concept of good and evil.
Maybe it has a concept of darkness and maybe it wouldn't glow if frankenstein!Pupa had enough light
...but
and this is a big stinky butt
The graveyard had an anti-darkness field and I believe our hair still glowed. It just glows when the dead are near I think.
However, maybe Pupa is not a corpse as much a new life born out of old bodies?
Because we know that Pupa is inspired by Pinocio and something else, that would give the game away.
Butt is older then Pinocio.
We know she is cold and is a bit robotic in how she acts.
===
I was curious if we gave Melkorka her spear back but we probally did.
I wonder why Furora and Tanwen dislike eachother.
For Tanwen...I dunno, my she sees Lirra as HER friend and doesn't like some else, or atleast someone she sees as strong and a threat, muscling in on that?
Furora probally heard about Tanwen leaving her team to die, she is not subtle about that.
...you know, that is probally a more sensible reason why Tanwen dislikes Furora. Tanwen told her about leaving her team to die, Furora got pissed and Tanwen did not preciate that much.

'Made out of corpses' does not mean 'currently a corpses'. She's walkin' and talkin', so she's some kind of alive. It's clear that magic is in play, so Lirra's power may not be reliable. However, we do have this.
Pupa had grabbed her hand then, and they were so cold, so very cold-
Now we haven't seen her interact with anyone else, but we haven't heard anyone comment on that either. So maybe Lirra does sense something, it's just mixed up in enough magic to be confusing. And having looked back at that update, Pupa wasn't at the dinner scene. So she doesn't sleep, doesn't get tried, may not eat, and is cold to the touch, possibly more so to us. Sounds like a zombie to me.

I just really like maids.
You know, I can respect that you straight on admit that.
No excuses or cover stories.
You just like maids.
My curiosity is statisfied.
Granted, my curiosity is now wondering that if Lirra has eyes like a goat, she can eat tin cans like a stereotypical goat.
However, we all know bodies are just the cans of nature.
So she does eat cans but only kinda.

I can't believe that I only just remembered this, but Lirra has ram horns, not goat horns.
Then I submit that, rather than goat pupils, she has sheep pupils.
Like so:
Sheep can be surprisingly creepy.

Then I submit that, rather than goat pupils, she has sheep pupils.
Like so:

I mean
If I remember the picture of Lirra correctly, she HAS sheep puppils.
The goat ones were in the old picture, which is not correct.
In the most facial accurate picture we have (the maid one) we see her have eyes that are very sheep like.
So we have an ashen-haired sheep girl.
Gureito.
...but again that implies that the eye type are the same or similiar to the animal we share horns with, when it comes to changelings.
[] [horns] part of the leaved antlers that crowned her head.
[] [horns] the two small horns that emerged at the top of her forehead.
[] [horns] the lichen-covered ram-like horns that started from behind her ears.
[] [horns] the very start of the straight horns that emerged from her temples and went to the back of her head.
Now these are the horn types we know off.
Antlers would probally give us dear eyes, the small horns would probally be goat like, the straight horns...is the closest to what Tanwen has.
Now if we chose those horns and got slit pupils? I could buy her being a changeling. The thing is these seem mostly animals you expect in a forrest (and hooved I think, but I could be wrong at that). Hell the ast option could be bovine horns, with bovine eyes.
Eye and horn type are linked and Changelings are often linked to the forrest and nature.
Natural lizard in forrest don't have horns me thinks...
Maybe she is the child of a dragon and a Fae?
Which would make her kind of changeling but very much differant?
Just spit balling at this point.

Take the deal won.

I'll update soonish.
So, Tanwen's eyes are vertical slits (those of a predator), while Lirra's eyes are either goat-like, ram-like, or sheep-like (all horizontal/prey eyes)? Furthermore, regarding Tanwen, I googled for a bit, and I don't think there are any predators in real life that have horns, other than some lizards as @SolipsistSerpent mentioned (in that picture at least the horns are different and the eyes don't look like slits, whether vertical or not. I'm going to assume that she's not a lizard then). I also don't know if there's any any animal at all that has horns that look like Tanwen's (long, unbranched, and going down the back), although I didn't actually google that. (Never mind, I just googled and it looks like there are some prey animals that have vaguely similar horns)
One fictional predator that could have horns of any shape however, is (you guessed it) a dragon. So, I would give 3 possible explanations for Tanwen's horns and eyes:
1. Tanwen is a dragon.
2. Tanwen's appearance is modeled after a different mythical predator.
3. Tanwen's appearance is a mish mash of 2 or more animals, both predator and prey.

I would think that the most likely reason is that she's a dragon, since it fits with the other available information, although it could be that changelings in general are mixes of multiple animals. I'm assuming though that changeling appearance is based on a single animal per person, and that they are based on some kind of animal and not just given nature-y traits in general.

TLDR: +1 evidence of Tanwen being a dragon. Subject to whether changeling appearance is based on single animals or not.

I quite like the dragon explanation. Doesn't quite explain why she'd kill her teammates but I could see them being overcome, Tanwen being forced to transform to survive and them turning on her. Or she could have just decided that witnesses weren't worth the hassle...

Doesn't quite explain why she'd kill her teammates
Did she? The echoes Lirra got were incomplete. She caught 'left us alone' and 'dragon', and maybe the image of a dragon, but did she see them being attacked, or did she string a plausible explanation together out of what she saw and heard?

If Tanwen is a dragon, her reluctance to reveal herself makes sense in the light of how valuable her blood is. Why did they go extinct, anyway?
