I don't want to know what would happen if we don't kill (or attempt to) this things right now.

I don't also think we're going to be able to hold this fire with all the good we have suffered so far in this battle.

Can we get a bit more detail on the choices here.

Specifically how we would go about banishing the darkness?

Unless embracing the fire inside gave us some kind of innate knowledge, or we are able to perceive and attack the means by which the shadowspawn is generating the darkness then I can only see us dispelling it in two ways.

One is to unleash a massive amount of fire, which may burn away the darkness but would also burn our allies. Nothing I have read has led me to believe we have the fine control to release the fire without potentially damaging whoever is in range.

The other is to release a large amount of light. Which may banish the darkness but also runs the risk of blinding our allies which may leave them vulnerable to the tainted that are around. Although I would expect those tainted to be even more affected.

Is there a middle ground option that we can choose?

To embrace the fire, but hold the heat in our body, only letting the light shine out as we charge and attack the ShadowSpawn but unleashing the Fire through our attacks on it?

Intention of this is to have our focus on taking down the main ShadowSpawn, but at the same time serve as a Beacon so that we can let the others on the field know where we and the Main threat are?

You are perfectly free to suggest just how you want to go about doing this, though I intend to make things rather cinematic regardless.

If it gets out pretty major. It would completely change the storyline as the crab would probably youink us to their most secure location while spending huge amounts of political capital to get us the best trainers in the empire so they could turn usinto a super weapon. So
 
You guys now that after this, Sosuke *will* have to accept he cannot have a normal life of service to his clan and accept he's a pawn of Fate, right?

I'm honestly not comfortable with the idea, but if you guys want this then so be it.

It's WAY too late to post that, like wow! is that post completely meaningless now, don't try to divorce yourself from the decision, which was beyond a shadow of a doubt the best one.

Well, if we aren't quite ready to be known yet, prioritizing killing the oni over making sure that everyone can see us is probably the best step.

Plus, you know, I don't really want to let this thing get the first attack on us!

[X] Attack the giant shadowspawn.
- [X] Focus your light through the Finger of Jade around your neck, bathing the shadowspawn in holy green fire.

I thought we switched out the finger for Nemuranai or something.
