AN: Took me a bit longer than I wanted and it's rougher than I wished to but its good enough. I hope you enjoy. Anyways, because my brain can't just stop, I posted a new story by the name of Love, War and the relentless pursuit of advancement (here on sv and sb) I've been working on it for a while so if you can check it out, I'll apricate it. don't worry about it impacting this quest, I've been working it for a few months already and the last few months were the fastest update rate this quest (or any quest of mine) ever had.

Setting a bone for a cultivator is far mor complicated then setting that of a mortal for the above reasons but with his ancestors help and guidance Guan Li has achieved sufficient understanding to attempt such aid without worsening his patients' conditions.

Travel through bondless forest was dangerous. The vast number of spirit beast which inhabited it meant that encounters were inventible as the sun rising in the east.
And while the vast majority we small and weak -at least compared to a group of this caliber- many of the spirit beasts were a genuine threat, the group tried to avoid those to questionable effectiveness.
Guang Li ancestors tried to help and more then once their warning was enough for Guang Li to steer the group away from danger but they were too few with the majority of the collective focusing their effort on preparing for the coming trial.
The constant battling resulted in many small injuries accumulating, injuries upon which Guang Li practiced his new craft, expelling foreign energy from the body and helping his companions recover.
The multitude of spirit beasts that attacked has also fattened the group saddlebacks with small cores and the little organs and ingredients they could preserve. The blood spilled filling Guang Li dantian with its energy.

Another siphon has been constructed, bringing further nourishment for the ancestors of the Guang, the constant drip of Yin Qi clearing their minds from the heavy fog of death.
At the same time the Ancestors drink deeply of the world, filing up Guang Li dantian before the coming fight.

Travelling through boundless forest was a quit affair, all members of the group focused and alert to any possible surprise and ambush by spirit beasts.
It was why they all detected the storm crow long before it was close enough to attack. Not that it made a great effort at hiding, its screech reverting through the forest.
"Do you think we can hide from it?" Qin Hui asked as the party slowed to a stop.
Sun Zian glanced to the sky, beyond the green canopy, and frowned "I doubt it, it probably already noticed us"
"What do we do then?" Guang Li asked.
"We find a better place to fight and hid the horses"
At Sun Zian urging the horses began to sprint, thundering down the wilderness as he searched for a better environment for the fight.
Guang Li shifted in the saddles in anexsy, his ancestors have told him that he will encounter the giant storm crow and that it would be a difficult fight and he had stilled his nerves for it but seeing Sun Zian taking things seriously has made him worry more, the man did not take anything seriously so to see him do so now, it worried Guang Li.
Sun Zian led them to a thicker part of the forest, to a place where the canopy was so thick little sunlight breakthrough. Up above another screech could be heard, closer than before.
Sun Zian brought his horse to a stop and dismounted "this place should be good enough, I don't know what exactly were going to be facing".
"A storm Crow" Guang Li interrupted "at least I'm pretty sure that what I sensed" he hastily added as Sun Zian glanced at him.
"A storm crow then, likely a giant one from the sound" Sun Zian continued "it would be aligned with water, wind, lighting, storm, hail and Yin Qi, don't use attacks of that type if you can help it or fire for that matter, and if any of you have any earth techniques now would be the time".
"The trees will force it to land if it wants to snack on us and will limit it movements but don't underestimate it, it would be faster than you think and more cunning than other spirit beasts".
The group nodded in understanding and conformation at his words.
"Good" he said "now, someone should guide the mounts away and guard them, we cant risk that they will get hurt during the fighting or for some other beast to sneak up on them and feast".
Guang Li, Qin Hui, Yu Wang, Qiao Xiu and Feng Fang all glanced at one another, they all knew that as the least advanced it should be one of them that guards the horses as it would affect the battle to come the least.
Guang Li was pretty sure that if he volunteered no one would say anything, someone had to do this job and with his Qi senses Guang Li was particularly suited for it but he also knew that all four of the other disciples were fire cultivators and would struggle to hurt the storm crow with their techniques.
His ancestors would be close enough to help either way.
With time running short Guang Li turn to his ancestors for answers.
