GAMERGIRL: Morbid Misadventures of a Digital Kind

No shit Sofya only has one fragment. She only needs one. Observe that majestic creature! He knows what he's doing, and more importantly knows where his towel is.

Ahem

Let's start this off basic but broadly acceptable.

Story: Suddenly, a noise behind her! The mad woman shivered in fright at the sound of a growl. Behind her there was a hooded figure, shrouded in shadow, reaching out a skeletal hand towards her.

TrueNorth: please save me from this nightmare

Well, in character, you are insane. That means the anything you say out of character would "in character," merely by the ramblings of the insane. Since the insane are by definition, not sane, it even means that you would be going out of character, by not going out of character while in character.

TrueNorth: listen mr. encylopedia if i have to listen to another word of this nonsense i will go insane both in and out of character

The woman gazed at the figure for a moment. Her eyes shined with fear, but buried deep within was a sort of... inexplicable fascination.

I will point out that this is technically two sentences.

???: OOC: Wait. I really like this, but it's two sentences so I'm going to go change the rules. Now it's three sentences per.

TrueNorth:
why have rules if youll change them

???: OOC: Stop talking without OOC tags.

TrueNorth: no

Her eyes alight upon a signet ring, upon the apparition's hand. "Vincent?" She whispers, a desperate hope stirring at the sight in front of her. "Is that you?"

OOC: I didn't think the single name of speech really counted as a sentence.

The skeletal figure said nothing in answer, simply steeping forward, cowl falling back to reveal empty eye sockets lit with tiny blue flames, bleached skull framed by an ornate gothic helmet. It was Vincent, the Skeleton Knight, still on his penitent quest to rid the manor of the darkness that lay at its heart!

The growl from the shadows behind the figure reverberated again, and padding out from them like the night came a giant black dog, shoulder level with that of his skeletal master, loyal Astolpho, the Ghost Hound!

???: OOC: Yes! That's fine. You can have a little extra sentence as long as it's short.

TrueNorth: well then its not really three sentences per is it

???: OOC: You are trying my patience, be glad your swarm of fragments have the right idea.

TrueNorth: i believe the correct term would be a conspiracy

???: OOC: That refers to a group of lemurs. Also use OOC tags.

TrueNorth: i know what i said
TrueNorth: & also no

OOC: Will Vincent be able to redeem his chivalric vows, and make amends for the part he played in unleashing the crawling chaos that lurks at the heart of the manor, laying his damned soul to rest at long last?

Will our troubled protagonist finally be reunited her long lost lover? What will have become of him?

Will our protagonist's dimwitted companion prove a faithful friend? Will the beast that lurks inside her prove to be their salvation, or their undoing?

Will the vampire's curse be overthrown at long last, or cover the land like a plague until the end of time?

Will Astolpho be the goodest boy?

TUNE IN FOR THE NEXT EPISODE OF BLACKMOOR MANOR TO FIND OUT

The age of kings and queens and true knights in shining armor has long since passed, and yet Vincent keeps to those trappings with a zealots fervour. He must, for this delusion is all his once kind, simple soul can do to stave off the creeping madness of the Blackened Moor, festering within him since it's touch upon him years and years ago. He roams these lands, a spirit of aid to simple farmers and great nobles alike - and yet, though always he acted to foil the dark designs of this place, never before had he dared to challenge the true source of his corruption so boldly, by entering himself.

OOC: I'm not sure that the "knight" thing works particularly well with "gothic horror", being more of a generic "high fantasy" thing. So here's a twist!

OOC: Doomed SKELETON KNIGHTS from an era long past work great with gothic horror, IMO. I mean, gothic castles are always full of suits of armour, and tend to deliberately look backward. Gothic is even a style of armour! We can also play around with the genre a bit.

But I like your spin.

OOC: Part of the fun is what everyone puts into, so I don't have a problem with people switching it up for their own post. It's meant to be a weird collab story after all!

OOC: Alright I dunno if I do Gothic or well, any sort of horror well but...

Astolpho turned to stare, not at the madwoman but her companion who quailed in fear at the fiendish appearances of their new companions.
Vincent spared his hound a glance before glaring in dissaproval at the obviously freightened girl.
"Why are you here." He spoke, the flames within his eyesockets seeming to narrow in suspicion.

"I- I want you to forget about this stupid quest and come home!" She cried. "Look at what it's done to you, Vincent - you don't even have a face anymore! Come home where the priests can help you recover, and leave this foul curse be!"

???: OOC: Oh Vincent, you poor soul! My heart goes out to you, my dear! Only a mad woman could turn you from your dark path!
???: OOC: I mean, yes, good, keep going.

TrueNorth: this is terrible

@ProudAmericanSofya: Vincent is so cool!!

TrueNorth: not u too fuck
