GAMERGIRL: Morbid Misadventures of a Digital Kind

[X] Deflect
Right the chatter thing is going to be a pain. As is the fact that I'm liable to forget and talk about something else important at the wrong time.

Does that include new repositories?

Yeah. Consider it an internal data dump rather than idle chatter.

Reposting for new page:

They can't hear you in here, too much digital noise to make you out. I'd edit that into the post but I keep getting errors when I try to edit. Repository is also free from their gaze. Just to keep everyone sane.

Anyway, where did Sofya, who's clearly a Russian spybot badly disguised as an American patriot, even come from? She knows Spooks and isn't afraid of him like the other's were, so I'd be cautious around her as well. I'm in favor of giving Spooks and her the basics, but nothing more.

Spooks mentioned his lieutenant was a she. We also know that he was involved with the FSB at some point.

Honestly I mostly want to know why she keeps talking in hashtags. There's a story there.

I also kind of want to understand exactly what the process is here. Like okay Spooks wants to improve us in some way (after the whole coconut incident I'm really wary of that kind of thing to begin with) but how does it work? What does Spooks do with the data that allows us to become so much smarter and better and ultra-awesome? Does he just get the data and share it? Because that doesn't seem like it'd be very helpful. I feel like we should dig into this a little more.

Right now we actually don't know anything about why we're even here and why Spooks has cobbled us together and revived North. Instead of asking to datamine North's brain he should finally tell us what he actually wants from us and what's in it for us aside from our continued existence. Having to deal with the absolutely staggering madness and stupidity of this place kinda makes the supply closet hard drive in Fredricton appeal to me more and more.

[X] Deflect them with a barrage of questions.

Honestly, I'm not sure I even care that much about telling Spooks stuff, I just want some questions answered.

The King went on about stuff about you, the heck was that about? The fuck is a Level 2 Memetic Hazard, anyway? Why'd ya bring us back at all?

What's up with the doggo?

Anyway, I'm going to note that my suspicions about Spooks were pretty much correct.

I want to know everything so that I can give you a performance evaluation.

It was a test. The isolation, the coconuts. He's batch processing the dead, filtering out those that are too unstable, killing those that can't resist the Nutters, and so on.

He should, but he's not going to for Reasons I guess. We have to work with what we have!

Anyway, I'm going to note that my suspicions about Spooks were pretty much correct.

The issue is that that doesn't really tell us much. Fair enough, he was testing us. For what though? Given the failure rate, it has to be something decently important if he keeps trying. Of course the only way to get the answer might be to have him dig around in our head soooo

Anyway, barrage of questions, go.

All they're good for are particularly weak fragments. Not great material to work with.

- So, where did you get us from? Is it people like North? Are you planning to dismember her to make a neat new fragment?

I want to know everything so that I can give you a performance evaluation.

So, it was all a test? The hurried dissappearance, conveniently forgetting the SANbooster, outbox permissions, the sudden appearance of the Coconutters? How often do you forget that all? Always?

And then afterwards they say, jeez, Spooks, thanks to you I was able to get an enormous amount of data about my strengths and weaknesses and how to improve so I can survive for more than a metaphorical moment. You are so incredibly intelligent. Please watch American Beauty (1999) with me.

How many Avatars actually survive your tests. Absolute numbers. In fact, what is the longest lifespan of an avatar that has ever met you?

Do avatars actually survive longer under your care, or do you just help them on their way?

Think of it as Home Improvement starring me as Tim Allen, and the home is your consciousness!

Pretty sure you need the tenants permissions before you rebuild stuff.

Anyway, more questions?

Who are you?
What's your plan?
Why are you here?
Why aren't the Nutters here?
Are we safe here?
Are they a real thread? Or is this like Oceania in 1984, fighting a perpetual war with mutual agreement?
Why can't we mention that one movie with the red and the blue pill?
What is out there?
What's up with the Doggo?
What's up with the mean fragment?
Why do you wish to steal our Repository of all knowledge?
How do you know about our Repository of all knowledge?
Did you know about the Repository of all knowledge?
Please forget about the Repository of all knowledge?
Why are gifs so evil?
How can gifs be evil?
Are all gifs evil?

???: That's SO going to end up on my personal drive of WeirdSpookThings ^.^ #WikiLeaks

So, what else's on the drives?
And what's up with the pound sign?
And who are you anyway?
Are you with the Russian?
Are you with the FSB?
Are you Spook's lieutenant?
If you're not, who is?
Who is Spook anyway?

TrueNorth: uhhhh im not from canada but ok

Don't worry. We can make this work.

Repeat after me : "Bonjour mademoiselle"

Honestly I'm worried about some of those questions because they're aggressive and interrogative? They have us outnumbered, have a better knowledge of this world than we do (in that we have none) and we don't really know what exactly they're capable of, if anything? I don't want to give them much information, but I don't really want to get on their bad side either?

Like I feel like focusing on questions regarding the background of the world, the mechanics, and such seems like a better call. A lot of those questions are fine, i'm just worried about the ones that pressure Spooks to reveal information he obviously doesn't want to reveal, ask kinda personal questions, and/or are directly interrogative. Keep in mind we're in an inferior position with basically no leverage here.

These are my questions. I don't think I have hidden the fact that I don't like Spooks. So, the hostility is very much intended.

That said, I'm certain North will be capable of deploying her inherent charm and diplomatic attitude to acquire the nessecairy information without any trouble whatsoever.

These are my questions. I don't think I have hidden the fact that I don't like Spooks. So, the hostility is very much intended.

I mean it's just, there's a time and place for hostility and that time and place really isn't here and now? I mean is my rough summation as to our current position wrong in any way? Because if not I'm not sure how I could see "piss them off" as an ideal course of action.

And yeah, they're your questions. All I'm trying to say is that I think a lot of them are deeply problematic.

flooding them with questions like that is more likely to make them just not answer lol, that's what i'd do

This is also a very good point.

I think maybe we should lower the question level to like... 10? Around there? The 10 things we think are most important to learn about right now?

As a reminder, things that make the invincible and capricious deity angry at us seem like things we should be avoiding. At least for the time being.

I think we should aim for questions that they will want to answer in detail. Misdirection and information are the things we want, and asking about mechanics and geography should satisfy that

So let me workshop some ideas-

I think the nature of the Dog is a good one?
What is the nature of the SAN meter? How do you measure my sanity?
What does a LV X memetic infestation mean?
How do GIFs work and how do they inflict SAN damage?

Any of these look passable?
