Foundation(Worm) aka Pet Rock Quest

[X]...Say, what's the point of ANYTHING? You have a glimmering of some sort of ACTUAL PURPOSE to your existence! Go into stasis while you try to figure that thing out. (Extended Notion test, fail if more than 10 rolls, DC 600. Rewards:???)

Go big or go home. Or whatever the equivalent of home is to a rock.
The core of the earth, then?

You are mixing things, this is the option to go home and sit in the dark, the other the one were we actualy go big.

But besides that we realy should avoid this until we some more Notion, since the more rolls the more things tend to average and right now that means we fail.

[X]Overcharge growth. (Extension+Puissance test, uses 15 energy, increases Extension on 85+)

Parahuman comes home.
" Why is there a boulder in my house?"

Sure, let's go hunt down Behemoth in his own field. Seems a worthy challenge to our mighty protagonist. Then, we can shoot for the moon and take down the Simurgh.

Well, a rock contemplating its own navel, then contemplating wether it has a navel, then contemplating idioms, just seemed a fun way to spend 10 turns. But yeah, I agree with your argument that we maybe should amass a higher Notion before shooting for sentience, or whatever. So...
[X]Do something magic!(Puissance test, costs Energy)
-[X]What, precisely?
-[X] Magic Sonar to study your surroundings.

What is a sonar? You are a rock. :V

(More seriously, I'll try to follow requests, but especially inspired/complex ideas will take a penalty for low Notion)

Well, okay then. I thought "magic pulse with an echo" should be within our means, if we can make light, but maybe the rock never studied echolocation in rock school. Or maybe it just skipped that day. :V

But seriously though, does this mean it's a no-go for now?

I mean, you have 3 notion, and I'd call that at least, like, a 15 Notion if not more idea.

You are literally as dumb as a rock.

We can try the new thing later

I think if we tried the Notion option right now, the expected result would be 100 divided by 2 for an average roll of 50 plus 3 Notion times 10 rolls= 530. We'd at least need 10 Notion to have a chance of succeeding, but higher would be better in case we get a streak of bad rolls.

well, then. Let's get swole.

Any theories on who the parahuman girl is? All I know is that she radiates power but can't actually use it to do much. Or maybe she's trying to use it the wrong way?

Had me a bit worried there, glad this is still going~

[X]Overcharge growth. (Extension+Puissance test, uses 15 energy, increases Extension on 85+)

That extended test is tempting, but we have no where near enough Notion to be comfortable attempting it just yet.

Aheh. To be honest, I haven't fully decided who myself. Taylor would be too obvious. I'd prefer to weave a more subtle tale than that.

Here's a hint, though.

For some reason, her power doesn't seem to have come with instructions. Take that as you will.

Maybe we'll get a rock pimple

May as well burn through the energy stores.

Code:

Total:88

You draw heavily on the energy that you've stored within you. You can feel it pulse as you begin to expand. As you do, it occurs to you that a sphere might potentially not be the best shape. So you...

[]Ignore that thought. Spheres are sturdy!(+Resillience, +Chance of rolling around and hurting something)
[]Give yourself a flattened base and then push up to form into a spire. 'Cuz they're cool. Probably. You're a rock, what would you know about what's cool?(+Puissance)
[]Forget the spire, just make yourself a wide flattened base. For stability.(+Notion, -Chance of falling and hurting something.)
[]Write-in?

Regardless, it feels like a barrier of some sort burst. (+1 Extension, +1 M. Energy/Puissance)

Author's Note:Anyone who can guess(one guess per person folks) at the purpose of the Geode even semi-accurately will give small bonuses to the cumulative rolls, BTW.

[X]Forget the spire, just make yourself a wide flattened base. For stability.(+Notion, -Chance of falling and hurting something.)

Guess: gathering "magic" energy and using it to make magic items.
