If I did maths right, we should have 20/35 energy at the moment. More than enough to play around with until Source gets back. And if we manage to get a 'spell' going we might be able to train Puissance by manipulating the energy further.

If it works out, we can greet our owner later. I mean, it's not like revealing our magical powers can go wrong or anything!

I'm rather wary of growing right now, mostly because we are currently on some sort of table, possibly a nightstand. We are probably already about 3-5 kg, and there is a chance that growing significantly will have us crush the table and fall to the floor. There again, we do need to try it sooner or later...

We currently don't understand the concept of language, but maybe we can learn morse code later on, to communicate using the lights. (Or we might just be able to learn to magically speak).
I meant more like just lighting the room up in a beautiful manner when she enters it, but sure, we can communicate more meaningfully once we start understanding her tone (at the very least).

No, I had imagined that, too. Just saying, that little cantrip might actually be useful eventually.
Cantrips are always fun to abuse. Depending on how the mana energy use scales with light emitted (or, from a more Doylist perspective, how much the GM lets us get away with), we might be able to turn it into a laser gun. Well, more like a weaponized flashlight.
 
I'd like to imagine we might have a decent affinity for ice based attacks since we chose Serenity as our first aura. That, or we might become an aura based master like Glory Girl, just with calming emotions and not a love-me/fear-me field.
