For Glory and Honor! A cultivation riot quest.

I changed it to clan hall since the clan now has 2 cultivators.
Thinking out loud. According to your lore (A series of spirit beast attacks made it clear that alone their growth would be limited so they joined the sect hoping to find strength in numbers.) it will be ideal for you
-[] You start with three awakening realm npc cultivators. Exact level randomly generated.

Yes, I want to see more gacha.

Clan Matriarch Tongyong Chengshi
Form:

Family Name: Tongyong.

Matriarch's Name: Tongyong Chengshi.

Matriarch's Focus: Political/Military.

Family Focus: Mercantile/Research.

Clan Specialty: Information Gatherers and Prospectors.

Clan Description: A small mortal clan of acuit information gatherers and prospectors in the frontiers, earning a living via trade of goods or information. It was just by a fortuitous event that the current head of the Tongyong Family, Matriarch Tongyong Chengshi, was able to become a cultivator due to being able to procure an expensive, yet common, Qi manual that allowed one to start their path of cultivation. It was then when word of a new Sect came about here in the frontiers, in the mountain ranges known as the Sky Piercing Blades, that the clan went into discussion and eventually decided to join this new Sect in hopes of improving their standing and well-being in this chaotic world where 'might makes right'.

[X] Matriarch Tongyong Chengshi
-[X] The clan Patriarch/Matriarch starts at late attunement.

Curious how this will go, in all honesty, and for how long. :V

Wealth was tempting, but the clan focus is research, not mercantile.

There can only be one clan with a specific name and there is already a Du clan.

Not really interested for myself, but I am curious, is picking dragon or dragon bloodline allowed, or is it considered too powerful.

Clan Patriarch Lai Zhìxìng
Form (Pictures optional): https://www.pinterest.it/pin/116952921563977003/

Family name (The last name. Must be unique from all other players): Zhíxíng

Patriarchs/Matriarchs name: Lai

Patriarchs/Matriarchs focus: Security

Family/Clan focus: Military first, Political second.

Clan Specialty: Policing, investigating and judging.

Clan Description/Background:The Zhìxìng clan has a long-standing tradition as law enforcers, with members and smaller branches present in various connected organizations such as the normal police, military police, and investigators for the ministers. Despite their noticeable influence, they have never had a cultivator in their history. Some have referred to it as a curse, but with the younger generation of the Zhìxìng, the curse has finally been broken. The new cultivators have been sent to the frontiers for two reason: to keep an eye on this new "Sect", which, as every new sect on the edge of Imperial influence, has the risk to become "too much independent" and to remain as far as possible from the enemies of the Zhìxìng, which would very much like the clan to remain "cultivatorless".

Within the Zhìxìng clan, you can find individuals of all kinds: from honest people who believe in the law as a means to protect the innocent and the weak, to those who are more focused on punishing the innocent rather than letting a criminal escape justice. However, they all share a deep respect for the laws of the Empire.
[X] Patriarch Lai Zhìxìng.
-[X] You start with a Clan hall, which gives you a small boost to clan Fame and makes your mortals more happy.
--[X] The House of Laws: The building, containing of course the living quarters for the clan with all the relevant amenities, is notable for the containing in the Entrance Hall shelves containing all the Laws books bearing the Empire's Seal of Authenticity. Mortals, even outside the Clan, are free to come here to consult the books and ask questions to the Clan members stationed here about the Empire Laws when in doubt. Laws doesn't admit ignorance and the Zhìxìng do their best in providing this service.

Jack727 and Paloneia: AWAKE, MY CLANSMEN.

@DangerKitty I hope everything is allright with the updated description.

@Abyssius you at all worried about conflict between the laws of our New Emperor Sect Master and those of the Empire who's seal you tout? How do you imagine your clan will reconcile the differnces?

This is an interesting question that I asked myself and then to DangerKitty.
The short answer will be: we'll see how the Sect Leader behaves and I'll react accordingly.
Worst case scenario, the Xhìzìng clan would probably split in those who respect the Emperor Laws and those who respect the Sect Leader Laws.

The unfortunate consequence of the Defection Vote to my clan, but I'll be sure that the story will be interesting.

Also, the sect leader kind of looks down on humans, if he in any way act on it, he is basically just begging for people to betray him, why would humans work to make an empire where they are second class citizens, so I am curious what he does

I see two options. The first is that he hides that fact and pretends to be human all the way to the end. The second is that he displays overwhelming might and offers people the chance to be in on the ground floor of his new kingdom regardless of race. It doesn't matter if most humans are second class citizens if your personal clan is part of the nobility.

I don't think he needs to pretend to be human, or needs to treat humans as equal to dragons, dragons can be basically royalty (as long as they aren't too many), but if he looks down at his direct subordinates, he wouldn't win any loyalty, they might stay with him for his resources, might help with his wars, they will probably also stab him in the back eventually because the nearby empire will treat them better if they did him some major damage.

We will not betray our sect leader because the Ling Clan will quarrel with all the surrounding empires. No one will accept us. (Collective responsibility, lol)

I mean, Ling clan is basically Mongols, and Genghis Khan had basically similar situations, someone looking down on him and ordering him around in an insulting way (two different times), you can probably guess what happened.

The Mongols under Genghis Khan are a very hierarchical society. Ling are more free in this regard.

We did not clarify our Patriarch's attitude towards Lin Lei.

I mentioned betrayal in case he starts looking down on humans and not give them face.

If he doesn't treat his new followers badly, he will probably be fine.
