Would this character be appropriate?
Player: S111592
Name: Dr. Alexandrius Falt
Description: Tall, thin, dark haired and pale with unremarkable features Dr. Falt would normally be the description of humdrum, except for his eyes.
Backstory: After a near death experience with a memetic hazard he became obsessed with (and paranoid of) such hazards. During his research he realized that hewould always be vulnerable unless he could somehow filter-out harmful information before perceiving it.
So he took the logical course of action (HA) and replaced his eyes with cybernetics constantly protected by the best anti info hazard firewalls he could program.
Skill Levels: Research 3, Operations 1, Espionage 2, Combat 1
Starting Inventions: Cyber eyes- Made to defend against info hazards these eyes filter-out any kind of directly harmful visual information
from the overload of flash bangs to a basilisks stony glare.
Info hazard: Nothing to see here- A specific pattern that makes people simply glance over it, it requires several seconds of direct focus for the average person to detect the pattern and whatever it is painted on.
Info hazard: Landmine- Simply put this hazard causes nausea, dizziness, vomiting and seizures in anyone to look at it for more than a few seconds.
So why do we have stats apart from research in the first place?EDIT: @Trondason the irrelevance of Mad Scientists in direct combat is deliberate.
Put quite bluntly, the Mad Method also applies to tactics, meaning having a Mad in the field directing the troops greatly improves their effectiveness. So why do we have stats apart from research in the first place?

The Mad Method is universally applicable. That said, Mad Theologists tend to end up in Cults. It's only Mad Scientists/Engineers that can really milk it for all it's worth. Is there also such a thing as Mad Philosophy, Mad Theology, Mad Sociology, etc?
So we want at least one member of Mad helping with all important operations we have our minions undertake. Make sure they are all dancing to the Mad Groove. The Mad Method is universally applicable. Why is researching time so deadly??
Because people who don't want you researching time are killing anyone who tries, duh.
Oh well.Because people who don't want you researching time are killing anyone who tries, duh.
Planning on making a new character, or will this be it?
I really like your warren idea. Dedede would have loved it If He wasn't dededead. Eh that is What I get for setting and forgetting a research but I am a man of my word you know.Who, if anyone, is planning on lone-wolfing a project? I will trade you an action either this turn or next for aid creating my warren.
[X] Create a Blueprint
-[X] Warren, an organism-agnostic room that creates and counters the cost of minions at the same rate as a Replicator hub until its currency pool is fully tapped out. If the space supply is capped before the currency, the remaining currency can be used akin to the Forging Furnace. tldr, it's the GOCM but bigger & cooler. Ideally it's created by planting a tree which then digs out a cavern underground, creating (glowing) capsules filled with a goo which are accessible by a narrow passage. These cells create creatures and nourish and heal those which sleep inside of them, offering a full rest within two hours and a full restore within a week. Function example: Create an Empty Warren, Warren spends 40 (or whatever) virtual currency on creating minions. The next turn, it spends 40-upkeep cost of existing minions on creating minions. The next turn it... Until its currency supply is fully occupied. It needs to be told what to make (to save effort).
[X] Build Counterintelligence Network
-[X] Random security/brainwashing checks, anti-scrying fields, general paranoia, the works. Basically, do everything we can to keep spies out.
[X] Install V3 Pandora Orb
-[X] L.E.A.R.N.E.R 1.5.4, Neurocomputer, Primitive Telepathic Circuit, Computerized Reality Model, Angelfield 1.7.2
[X] Accept the Awakened Madness's offer
[jk] Create Blueprint
-[jk] Anglefield 1.7.2 - Projects a series of forcefields around the user which passively sequentially redirect projectiles back at the source or around the user and can be actively shaped so as to direct projectiles (or sound, or light) originating from the user around corners. This effect can also be used to generate lift through a helicopter effect, a halo-esque visual artifact, and "wing"-shaped forcefields capable of slicing through steel embedded with carbon nanofiber.
what is your vote? Did you want me to help w/ the something-of-your-own or them8 or...?I really like your warren idea. Dedede would have loved it If He wasn't dededead. Eh that is What I get for setting and forgetting a research but I am a man of my word you know.
Speeking of that I think I'll first help @them8 and do something if my own. Maybe you can help With one and I'll help you next turn? We do need more biological housing.
Stil needed to vote, wil do it now, and I´LL DO IT LIVE (I won't).what is your vote? Did you want me to help w/ the something-of-your-own or them8 or...?
Who, if anyone, is planning on lone-wolfing a project? I will trade you an action either this turn or next for aid creating my warren.
My new starting invention, wunder-brass, can serve as effective armour.I'm willing to trade assist actions; I'll help you with your personal project this turn if you help me with mine.

Damn.Omake Time: In Memory of the Fallen.
Master Viper Jaminson sat at his lab bench in silence. While this in itself wasn't unusual, the fact that he wasn't doing anything at it was. There was no bubbling of liquids or the hum of computers and even the pens and papers messily heaped upon his desk laid untouched. In the early morning dark the entire room echoed with an eerie stillness. And in the centre of it all with his arms crossed, Viper sat there brooding in the absolute silence. He had just heard the news that both Waldo and DeDeDe had been found dead. Unrevivable too, he had checked, neither of them had any brain structures left for Dr. West's Reanimation Serum to work with, and he could not find any Angelfield templates for them among MADs databases. He had even hacked into all their personal devices on the off chance that they were stored there, but even that had turned up fruitless.
Master Viper Jaminson was at a loss. From what little he could remember of his past it wasn't often that he outlived any of his fellow Mads that he worked with. In fact most of the time he was the reason they died in the first place. Not being the first one dead when working with other Mads was a new experience for him. As such he had no idea what to do with the bodies of dead colleagues or the things that they left behind. The fact that his rummage through DeDeDe's personal systems had turned up something of note had not made this any less confusing. Apparently DeDeDe had left behind a will which specified what to do with some of his things, a printed copy of which was laying under a now cold mug of coffee and milk. This still left the question of what to do with the rest of DeDeDe's stuff, like his spare clothes.
Viper sighed and stood up, moving for the first time since he had finished reading the will. Picking it up again he supposed that he could do what it specified and work out where to go from there. Flagging down some unoccupied fetch bots in MAD's systems he gave them the orders for them to drag DeDeDe's bed and M3 to Felicia's room, pin a copy of the will to the front of Joe, and duct tape the solitary Waddle dee halfway up the door to Miss Moors' lab to stop it from wandering off. Moving to DeDeDe's room he found the keys specified in the will and began to try them on everything in the room. After finding the 'Brutus protocols' in a filing cabinet he signalled for all unoccupied fetch bots to start gathering the remainder of DeDeDe and Waldo's belongings and dump them next to the bodies, he vaguely remembered something about people being buried with their belongings.
Placing the 'Brutus protocol' papers on his lab bench he tried to remember what else there was to dealing with the dead. All he remembered besides the belongings thing was something about last drinks and fire arrows. Frowning he guessed that he was supposed to burn the bodies and belongings after soaking them in drinking alcohol. Giving the order to the fetch bots to also pour several gallons of pure ethanol into the room he went to disable the fire suppression system. Once the S.K.Y. net signalled that the tasks he assigned were complete he directed a solitary sacrificial fetch bot to carry in a lit molitov cocktail and throw it. As expected the room exploded into a raging inferno consuming the everything within. After watching for a little while Viper turned away satisfied with a job well done.
Watching the papers containing the Brutus protocols crackle and burn a little while later Viper mused, DeDeDe was a brilliant man to think of all these ways to use the various quirks of MADs' scientists against them to defeat them. Such a legacy should not be forgotten and as such he had used the L.E.A.R.N.E.R. module implanted in his head to remember all of their contents perfectly, filed away under the title of sociological outlier data. This way they would stay unchanging in the passing of time, even if he died multiple times in the future. He knew sometime in the far future when the knowledge DeDeDe's face was blurred and the voice was slurred he would still remember the words, in memory of the fallen.
