Character Creation Part 1:
Stories of the past were the only good thing that made you feel like the world made sense. Ever since Avatar Kyoshi died, the four nations, have been long divided.
The Air Nomads, long known for their great stability, and peaceful existence, has seen a great division and loss of hope in the century since Roku died, and the Avatar disappeared. The Spiritualists cling to the old ways of pacifism, of peace, of spirituality. They still cling to hope that the Avatar would return and restore balance to the world like he always had.
They try to help whenever possible, to ease their conflicted consciousness… but it is never enough.
Then there the Nihlisits, who follow the Teachings of Guru Laghima. To separate themselves from the world entirely, or in the case of the corrupted, modern teachings… to see only to one's self, and no one else. They say that nothing in the world matters, and that they should only care to the here, and now, and their own earthly pleasures.
They have left the Temples, forming their own communities… many as bandits, warlords, or mercenaries. They care not for the suffering of the world, and how to stop it. They care only for their own power… their own philosophies and ideologies, or personal ambitions. Nothing matters or lasts forever, so why should they care about others.
So let the sheep cower in fear of the Wolves.

In the Earth Kingdom, The Great Earth King of Ba Sing Se… has lost the Protection of the Spirits. Through weak, and indecisive rulers, they have lost the faith of the many Kingdoms below them, that paid homage to them… they finally broke away, seeing that the rulers have become weak, inefficient, indecisive on the many crises that plague the great nation.
In Ba Sing Se, there is a war, an invisible one, fought between courtier and courtier of the great kingdom. There exists no authority outside of Ba Sing Se… but one can still vye for the crown. District battle district, gangs battle gangs… Philosophy battles philosophy... all while the Dai Li, The Earth King, and any man smart enough to play the game try for the crown.
Because he who controls the Earth King… The Throne… may have the power to unify the world.
King Kuei rules a broken kingdom, ignorant to the total chaos and man, less a ruler, more a puppet.
Long Fang, the head of the Dai Li, is considered the most powerful man in the city, but even his grand power, and knowledge is limited by the ambition of better men.
And General How, the Last Great General of the Earth Kingdom, commands the greatest defenses in the whole entire world, planning and recruiting for a grand offensive, to finally bring order to the chaos that reigns in the world.

To the Northern Kingdom, the many armies and garrisons of the former Earth kingdom find themselves without a kingdom to serve, the collapse of the Earth Kingdoms stability when Roku died made sure of that. Without a way to pay their forces, without supplies, the armies and garrisons had to sell their services to survive.
Client king's now free to rule themselves, use their services, the new mercenaries that were freed from bondage… as a way to battle and unify the east. Chin the Conqueror had proven, that only an Avatar could truly stop them, from destroying an ambitious warlord.
But the Avatar was not among them, there hasn't been one in a hundred years. There was no one, to stop them.
General Saiyuk was the protegee of General Lee Go, before he was killed in the Great Raid of The Cranefish Republic. He leads the larges force on this side of the Earth Kingdom, nearly 70,000 strong, but he lacks a true base from which to command… and coin to pay such a mighty army.
Govoner Teng Lei, of the Providence of Han Tui, now informally the highest-ranking officer in the providence seeks to unify the providence, and declare himself the one king of the land.
And dozens of other warlords dot the lands, striking at the weak and innocent.
It is a battlefield, a killing field… a land of rice, and death.

To the Eastern Earth Kingdom, there is a line… Between those who rule the sea, and those who control the land.
Pirates reign free, the Earth Kingdom navy, in ports, with no one to man the ships, no one to fight them. No one was there to maintain the ships, to sail them, to protect the shipping that made them rich.
Lin Chen, governor of the province, vows to fight the great pirates of the peninsulas and islands but is lacking everything that could remove them, except for charisma that few had, and maybe more luck than sense, and spirits guiding her to victory.
The Pirate Lord Tao Wu, however, has forsaken the spirits for profit. And has everything he needs to call himself king of the waves. From his safe harbor in the city of Mori, he reaves the seas from any ship, to sell its cargo, and make himself rich.
It is a battle of faith, and will, where only one can win.

In the West, there is talk of Revolution.
A young man whose family was killed by marauding earth kingdom soldiers, promises those who follow his banner will see justice and peace in their valley and beyond. This man has a dream, a dream of peace… and a dream of revenge.
That man's name is Jet, and those who follow him, are his Freedom fighters. Fighting to end Serfdom in his valley and beyond.
Facing this young man, is a mercenary commander from the Fire Nation, hired by the governor Lei Guang, with a ship of iron, and an entire regiment of Fire nation veterans of Fire Lord Iroh's Wars of Unification.
A deserter named Zhao.
Farther south, the Kingdom of Omashu stands on a delicate tightrope. King Bumi the Genius, has been able to prevent war between his neighbors for decades with his diplomatic prowess. But he is old, and dying, his strength weakens, and his subjects fear that his mind is failing him. But they have faith that he can lead the, for one last year.

In the southern Earth Kingdom, The Followers of Chin, have risen again, under their great leader: Lu Bu, the Reincarnation of Chin the Great! Or so he claims.
His mission is to take over the earth kingdom… by any means necessary.
Standing against them, is a Hodge pod alliance of Merchants, Mercenaries, Entertainers, WAter Benderds from the Foggy Swamp Tribe and Kyoshi Warriors, under the nominal leadership of Lao Beifong of Gaoling, who is funding such a great force, but more under the command of the young, untested, but skilled Kyoshi Warrior, Suki.
But within this desperate alliance, there is hope, for there whispers of a person called the Blind Bandit… some call this… person a myth… other, more optimistic people… call that person the greatest Earthbender to ever live.

This makes me think of my avater ck2 playthrough in the timeline when all nations where not united like they were in the show/the games cannon timeline.
I went in as an air nomad, and she gained the flight ability like he did.

Well in this timeline, it's based off of a timeline where, after Kyoshi died, everything went down hill in my game
Earth Kingdom got 0 imperial Authority and collapsed, Water tribes started raiding the coasts and the Fire nation failed to unify.
There is only war... and that's what inspired this Interregnum choice. Everything sucks, there is only war, and only the Avatar can save it.
