Flying True: An ATLA AU Nonbender Quest

Beep. I am on my way home. Soon we shall be back to our regularly scheduled updates

So...

I have some problems right now with writing and it's going to take me some time to... sort myself out. As in, I cannot even write a single update for this Or anything for that matter.

I'm going to need a few days to sort myself out.

Book 1 Chaos Chapter 3: Hunting Game
Book 1 Chaos Chapter 3: Hunting Game

You looked at the sun and sighed. You had time to make a detour into the woods, following the well-worn, but hidden hunting trails of Yuyan. Masked by the leaves and the wind sweeping onto the greens, the trails were as old as the bowmen who lived in the providence, with its high trees and its bountiful life.

As you set your hands down on the trees, you listened to the sounds of the forests.

Listen: D100 => 65

Yet as you listened, there was something off. Your ears heard the great disturbances in the town even this far out into the woods.

They were scaring off game. They Were coming towards the woods, and soon.

You sighed, as you looked up towards the sky. "Looks like I'll just get something small."

You drew your bow, before taking an arrow and placing the string to your cheek, and followed the shadows in the sky. Then you let go and heard a cry.

Some Food: D100 => 89+30=119

Two turkyeagles fell to the ground, their bodies connected together by your arrow. You hadn't expected them to be flying so close together, but you must not have seen them fly close together.

The arrow was still in near perfect condition, though the arrowhead itself was a little dull.

"Well, it looks like we got dinner and breakfast." You said as you broke their necks as you slung them over your shoulder, and placed the arrow back in your quiver, and slung your bow back onto your back.

Home waited.
----------------------------------------------------

Something felt odd when you saw the smoke rise in the distance, and not the clear smoke of your home, colored to blend into the forest's canopy, and look like clouds.

It was flames of burning and smoke.

You felt your blood recoil, freezing in your body as you saw them…

What did you see?:

[]General Yang and his forces: They found your home…

[]The fire nation deserter: The great deserter Zhao had come… but he was looting your home.

[]Ping: He just sat there with his bow in his arms, and your mother close by. "Hello, Brother."

[]Nothing: Your home was burning, but your mother was gone. And worse… Father left a note…

AN: A short update, but one that is important to get the plot rolling.

In case your wondering why it's so short... well, this is how we start traveling the Earth kingdom.

and start affecting things.

[X] Nothing: Your home was burning, but your mother was gone. And worse… Father left a note…

[X] The fire nation deserter: The great deserter Zhao had come… but he was looting your home.

In that case, I am going to stick with Zhao. It is the only one that is not personal, where Yang wants to conscript him forcefully, Ping personally wants vengeance and whoever burned down the house is out for our family specifically. As a deserter, I doubt Zhao knows much about us, even if he is very dangerous.
