Some of our favorite charecters might be the bad guys.

Honestly indoctrinated and evil versions of the characters we know and love are interesting to me. And who knows maybe they'll get the Zuko treatment. If we're turning the origins of the war on its head many facts must be different and there will be a butterfly effect seeing how the winds change would be one of the most interesting parts.

I love the cast as much as everyone else, but I think a completely new character to follow in this world would be nice, I still want the canon characters to exist but I don't think we have to control them.

Belive me when I say this.

This idea came after a 16 hour playthrough of Kyoshi start date, along with me binging ATLA. The Water Tribe was extremely... extremely aggressive and destroyed the southern air Temple...

And the Fire Nation was still a warring mess, unable to properly become the superpower it was in canon... because no one unified it.

When I offered Interregnum, it's because the old world order collapsed.

Aang needs to figure out what kind of world order he wants to support, if at all.

edit: one of the reason I want to take another timeline than canon, is that I fear that we become overconfident with our meta-knowledge and we start making assumptions that will come back to haunt us.
