Finding the Spark (Pathfinder 1E Quest)

The invisibility ploy is pretty easy to ward oneself against; it is easier still to make another attack when the party is absent. The vampire must have contingencies. There is something planned for us trying to go in force, as well as for the duel if we didn't have a better plan.

If it has expended a lot of resourses to set this up it is logical to assume it has a comparable amount of resourses left to deal with the situation.

If there is a way to communicate I'd prefer for Sirim to give us the location so we could teleport there.
[] Sirim should go alone while the rest of you teleport in once he reaches his destination
How would we know the timing?

Nothing it's done so far demonstrates that it has much in the way of additional manpower, except maybe for dominated thralls.

It's difficult to travel any significant distance with a lot of people without high level magic, as we've had to deal with ourselves. That doesn't mean he doesn't have assistance, but if Sirim is the target, he probably isn't going to risk weakening his hand by leaving useful combatants too far away to be of aid in a fight. He already has leverage in the Iruxi children.

If the Vampire intends to attack the tribe when we're not here, there isn't much we can really do to stop that short of staying behind and sending Sirim to his doom. Even if the whole party, sans Sirim stay behind, it would be impossible for them to protect nearly 100 people spread around a camp at night time. There are too many angles of attack and too many potential targets. Better to at least try to nip this problem in the bud, IMO. It's not like the Vampire can just go about this leisurely, either. Dawn can't be more than a few hours away, so he's pressed for time.

The proposed meeting site is 6 miles away. That's too far for any sort of two-way communication short of using Sending, or similar effects, or magic items that duplicate them. They're just not available to us right now. We have a Sending scroll, but Sirim can't use it and even if he could, that takes 10 minutes.

Status would do it, though he would have to inflict a point of damage on himself
Does Status give enough information to target with Greater Teleport?

Greater Teleport is pretty good about not being precise coordinates or familiarity, but the information a Status spell gives seems way too generalized from my reading of it.

@Massgamer , @Othan763, @zxzx24, @Addemup, just a heads up that I've significantly altered the plan y'all voted for.

@DragonParadox, I would be cool if you delayed this chapter to give anyone a chance to weigh in on the change. It's very different than my original.

[X] Baiting the Hook
-[X] Mina uses Wild Arcana to cast Status on Sirim, Anippe, and Pepper. She casts See Invisibility on herself. Kori activates his Cloak of Darkness revelation and casts Defending Bone. Some time after Sirim leaves, when he judges the trip halfway completed, Cob will use Gorok's Scabbard of Keen Edges on his Alchemical Silver and Devil Bane daggers.
-[X] Sirim will go alone, though he will be shadowed by Pepper and Avarice who will run interference to allow him to escape or delay the enemies if he is attacked before we can reach him. He will zap himself with a Jolt cantrip when he nears the clearing, if he hasn't already been damaged before then. He will cast Magic Circle Against Evil as he departs, and Pepper will cast Mage Armor on him.
--[X] As soon as Mina detects Sirim has been damaged, the party will teleport to his location. Mina will use Hermean Potential on herself and our last Greater Teleport scroll, with aid from her Fortune Hex if necessary. Anippe rides along in Mina's Handy Haversack. As Mina prepares to teleport the group:
---[X] Cob will use his Minor Metamorphosis power to become Tiny-sized, plus his Offensive Prescience and Defensive Precognition powers, each Augmented with 6 power points.
---[X] Gorok casts Lead Blades on his sword and Acid Maw on Warty, then uses his ring to cast Mirror Image and Shield, if he has time.
---[X] Kori casts an Encouraging Bless spell on everyone, uses Inspired Spell to cast Greater Hide from Undead on everyone, and Divine Favor on himself.

I wonder if we can't create a failsafe so that two signals are required to trigger the teleport. As is, Sirim getting damaged for whatever reason sounds the metaphorical alarm. Since he is the obvious intended target, the damage may happen for a variety of reasons (trap? testing the waters to see if he is truly alone?), not all of them requiring our intervention and the use of our last scroll. Perhaps we might want another trigger from a party member who is supposed to not be seen and targeted, like Pepper?

That runs into its own risks if the second party member fails to trigger Status for whatever reason.

The Greater Teleport can fail, right? Wouldn't Sirim then be alone against the vampire?
It's possible, but Mina will have three rerolls to make it work. If they still can't reach him, he has the option to flee. He's Incorporeal, can fly, turn Invisible, and will have Pepper and Avarice nearby to give him some breathing room, if necessary.

Kori is casting three spells, and Gorok and Mina are casting two.
I think you should either drop one of Kori's spells or have Mina and Gorok add another.
Not sure off the top of my head what would be good for Gorok - Scabbard of Blessing is the first thing that comes to mind, especially if you can action-economy it so that Cob gets his dagger affected by the item. Though your plan reads as him taking three rounds.

Anyway. I was excited for Mina to activate Pepper's battle-mode, but 7 minutes is too short. Maybe Delay Poison Communal?

Edit: @Goldfish

Gorok only has so many spells to cast and while Mina could cast something else, it doesn't necessarily mean she should. We're low on resources right now, so while Delay Poison: Communal might be useful, it could be a waste and the Mythic power used to cast it might be needed elsewhere.

What you see on Mina's regular spell loadouts isn't what she has right now. Not Sirim, either. She used all of her 3rd level spells and 3 Mythic power, and he used his 4th level spells and 3 Mythic power, as part of the effort to conjure enough carriages for everyone.

Kori can immediately start casting spells as soon as we get the signal, whereas Mina needs to retrieve the scroll after casting her own, read it, etc. If Mina manages to cast Teleport before Kori does Divine Favor, that's all right, as speed is more important, IMO.

Thanks for explaining that she's not got the default loadout prepped.
I agree that it's not worth a Mythic Power.

But if Kori's got an "if time is avialable, cast Divine Facoir" then I think it'd be worthwhile to give Gorok a "if time, use the Scabbard of Keen Edges". As I understand it, Vamps, being undead, are immune to crits. But it's a 3 per day use item, and there might be non-crit immune minions there.

Edit: Mina should have the teleport spell in-hand, waiting for Sirim's signal.
