Fate/Desiderantes Affectibus (Fate/Zero & PMMM Cross)

Servant Stats - (SPOILERS).
Class: Assassin
True Name: Hassan-i Sabbah
Master: None
Alignment: Neutral Innocent

Parameters

Strength: Sealed.
Endurance: Sealed.
Agility: Sealed.
Mana: Sealed.
Luck: Concealed (B+).

Class Skills

Presence Concealment: D (A+)
Suitable for spying. The servant has a talent for remaining unnoticed when she doesn't want to be seen. Her rank in this skill increases to A+ when her parameters are unsealed.

Personal Skills

Independent Action: A-
The servant can remain in this world for a week even without a master. However, unsealing her parameters reduces this duration to six hours or less depending on her activities and magical energy expenditures.

Expert of Many Specializations: A-
Although operating independently of her greater self, the servant can still utilize the many skills possessed by the Hundred-Faced Hassan with a successful Luck check. The Luck check must be repeated each time she attempts to use one of the applicable skills. If successful, the success manifests as a child's precociousness.

Noble Phantasm

Zabaniya – Taqiya, Mask of Innocence.

Type: Anti-Unit (Self). Rank: C-
A noble phantasm within a noble phantasm. Although the servant is only one of the Hundred-Faced Hassan's many multiple personalities manifested through "Zabaniya – Delusional Illusion," she has her own unique variant of Zabaniya that makes it possible for her to separate herself from the host and sever her contract with their master. Doing so disguises herself as a human child, raises Luck to B+, and modifies her class and personal skills, but the cost is the sealing of her physical servant parameters and memories. With Zabaniya active, she cannot be identified as a servant by anyone other than the Old Man of the Mountain. Deactivating Zabaniya will return her parameters to their defaults and restore her memories, but her skills will remain unchanged until she rejoins her greater self. Triggers that will awaken the amnesiac servant to her true identity when one or more of them occur can be set before Zabaniya is activated. Essential memories will also begin returning when the servant's time in the world acquired through Independent Action nears its end.

Don't forget your threadmark. As for the Grail Dialogue, they did thin the number of Servants so Gils' "request" has been fulfilled.

That was NICE. A brilliant, well written and dramatic ending to a wonderful, truly heroic victory.

Bit iffy on whether or not anyone with her would have actually spared the murderous shit, though, but Sayaka's kind of biased in her thoughts on heroism, so doesn't necessarily know none of them would have thought any less of her, in the slightest.

Yeah, pretty sure everyone except maybe Waver would have just stabbed him.
Well, it's all good. Just gonna take him to the church, get free command seals, and then he'll probably get stabbed by the church, nice and officially.

That was grand, and epic and amazingly awesome! Sorry its hard to break this chapter down, for the most part its one big action scene told from about three perspectives with an epilogue at the end but its probably the best, or one of the best, examples of how to do one around.

The depiction of the army was great, you really captured the grand size and ordered chaos of a military battle, conveyed the strategy and thoughts behind it and delivered an over all awesome scene.

The casts reactions were similarly great, Waver;s fraying confidence and resolve was well explained, Lancer gets tons of props for not only not being indicated but coolly analysing the entire process and army with the confidence of someone who thinks they can do anything, awesome descriptions, great characterization an a very strong sense of tone that fit him excellently. Of course the award for ultimate badass goes to Syaka for this, her scene were all excellent capturing both her bravery, her guilt and lack of confidence as well as her self awareness and clever side, her plan was brilliant and the descriptions of it visceral and amazing.

Caster and Ryuu had a good last hoorah in this fic, Caster's final speech and decision was brilliantly in character and Ryuu's response to their death, then Caster and his own dismissive and cheerful attitude when cornered were all excellently conveyed, glad to see he got hit.

The final scene was great, for a second I almost thought they were a normal kid but this is way more brilliant, the discomfort, the awkwardness all of it were great and that final scene served as a brilliant clincher. Assassin is a criminally underused character with tons of potential often screwed over by the narrative or War so its great to see them plotting and scheming awesomely.

All in all another fantastic chapter!

Now, Gilgamesh and the drinking of kings question... This is a difficult question for so many reasons. Gil is unpredictable at times but also has some line he will not cross in terms of 'lowering himself' and so can be a bit hard to read. He seemed to deign to appear with Saber and Rider because they were 'pretenders' and because he and Rider had enough in common with each other 'a king does what they want' and Rider was similar enough to Gil's best friend for some projection to happen while he seemingly just wanted to perve on and or mock Saber. That may be a superficial take on his actions though. He may not know they are coming before turning up which is possible, regardless though if he did deign to 'grace' them with his presence I imagine he'd be more antagonistic and insulting towards the none kings just because.

I'm actually really intrigued by Lancer and Saber's perspective, on Arturia's wish and method of rule, I feel that given their personalities and background both are more likely to sympathise with and even agree with Saber's attitudes and plans rather than hold them in contempt.

Sorry if this wasn't helpful.

Gilgamesh can be pretty hard to pin down, but do bear in mind that he was willing to associate with Shinji when it suited his purposes, so he'll probably tolerate Lancer and Sayaka if he's given an incentive. Though he'll probably be really condescending about it, and if Sayaka doesn't have to restrain herself from trying to impale him multiple times I will be incredibly surprised.

She could sense the leviathan's mind as it futilely strained to devour her spirit, and the voices that comprised the abomination's tortured consciousness wailed—some in jealousy; others in relief; many, those who were too far gone and had lost themselves in the crazed gestalt, in fury—but all in agony with one hateful exception. The mad, deranged laughter of Gilles de Rais echoed loudly in the mental landscape, his demented glee at so many suffering so horribly eclipsing his own share of the unending torment.
My thoughts when I read this segment: Howls of anguish are like lullabies to my ears!

Eh, Rider and Lancer might not have spared Ryuunosuke if they'd been in charge of deciding his fate, but I don't think they would have been impressed if Sayaka murdered him in a blind fit of murderous rage either. Regardless, the important thing is that Sayaka succeeded in doing what she believes is right, and that personal victory means a lot to her. She needs that confidence booster 'cause the Grail War is going to be getting harder for her very soon.

Thanks! I really appreciate being notified of these errors and will update the master copy and the forum version soon.

Heh, good point. I'd forgotten about his association with Shinji in Unlimited Blade Works when I asked this question (even though when I first watched the UBW anime Gilgamesh not murdering Shinji for daring to touch him with his filthy mongrel hands surprised me so much I was rendered speechless for a moment). So yeah, it looks like, depending his mood, there's some leeway in the company Gilgamesh is willing to keep. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

....She summoned Murphy!

Lolisan? How devious.

All Child Assassin needs now is a twintail hairstyle and she'll be unstoppable!

Anyway, thanks for the comments and suggestions. The positive reaction to this chapter is a great motivator to me, and I'm very grateful for the feedback.

Hey, wait a moment ... act all tough, insults people ... but still lets them get away with things ... depending on his mood ...
Gil: M-mongrel, it's not like I-I like you or anything. :p

Well if Gilgamesh could tolerate Tokiomi and Aoi, he should have no problem associating with Shinji!

But if you've noticed, Gilgamesh likes Saber. So maybe sucking up to him annoys him!

Or maybe he just likes pettankos, either way Shinji is golden!

Do keep in mind, the Gil that hung out with Shinji in UBW also wanted to exterminate most of humanity.
As far as I know, Fate Gil just wanted Saber.

So Shinji destroyed whatever faith Gil had left in humanity.

Once again, Proof that nine Shinji's out of ten ruin everything.

While Shinji is repugnant, he has an awfully high bar to clear to even be considered among the worst that Gil has encountered.

Uryuu Ryuunsuke and Caster - Do I really need to elaborate on those two?

Those two are artists wh create art on such a scale that only God can comprehend it. Though their ways may be repugnant, they revel in their nature and stay true to who they are. They are honest creators, both of them.

Shinji, on the other hand, only perverts. He only takes what already exists and tries to use it for his own gain. And unlike Gilgamesh, he doesn't even look fabulous while doing so.

Eh I've seen better, more original work from Bonesaw and a few other fics like Sailor Nothing and some story where Demons turned human suffering into furniture.

Frankly all Ryuunsuke did was copy greater artists work!

True, Ryuunosuke's true skill lies in reigniting the old, hardened heart of Gilles de Rais. He's more the type of person who gives inspiration to others rather than create it himself. (which is still more than can be said about Shinji, who mainly inspires for new ways of punching Shinji)

Still, it's not fair to compare Ryuunosuke with the likes of Bonesaw and demons. He's had, what, three years of art experience at most? And only a very short amount of that with a mentor. Meanwhile, Bonesaw had an extra-dimensional alien art-gallery inserted into her brain and spend all her active career under the guidence of a much more experienced entertainer who was supernaturally good at transmitting ideas.
(I assume the demons in question were eons old as demons usually are, but I haven't actually read Sailor Nothing)
