I don't know. Why are people bandwagoning onto the option that says nothing about what it does, just that it increases our Limit?
Maybe not if making it could destroy Luseng's economy...[X] Begin a Grand Heresy
[X] A Light Touch
-[X] Spend time with Moon
[X] The Knight of Jade [Solar Circle, Ambition 3]
-[X] Focus on Administration
If we go for full Limit the moment we Limit Break we'll break again very soon. I know the story with the kid and her dog is very sad, but the Knight should be more than enough to improve administration.
Was that ever confirmed? I thought our predictions mean we're incredibly rich.
The closest we got was:Was that ever confirmed? I thought our predictions mean we're incredibly rich.
The Knight of Jade is incredibly expensive to do; it costs like 10 talents' worth of solid jade! In conjunction with the Throne, it would possibly be too much for your economy to handle right now. Though I suppose the bonuses it grants might be worth it...
Well, we don't actually know yet what the Lathe needs, except for high essence-level obviously. I'm betting on the Lore Charm -tree, as it has Wyld-Shaping Technique in it. And by setting the Knight as our co-administrator while also focusing on holding Luseng together this turn, we can in the future probably lessen the amount of time we have to spend on pure governance duties.I think focus on adminstration is not good idea,We should focus more on combat, the only person that can improve creation is us now,and we still not become the strongest being in creation.
Lathe of Heaven need enough power to pull off.
That's because there isn't. We didn't choose Totality. Its like no one remembers that there is a 'Game Over' condition from Odysseus replacing Ulysses and its being done because a little girl died and wrote a letter to the king.
Which is exactly what The King Stands Alone does.So instead of solving the economic issues and social situation that caused the kid to die in the first place,
It's throwing yourself into your work, basically. With all the preparation and determination that Ulyssian used to approach his duels with the Dragon-Blooded, now multiplied by the vast increase in his personal power and the puissance of the Sundial Throne.
There's one option that deals with the Realm and you are voting for it. There's also an option that deals with our Satrapy's wellbeing: The King Stands Alone, which you aren't voting for.By which I mean declaring, 'Blood for the Blood God!' and trying to take down the Realm rather than shoring up Ulysses damaged economy and power base.
Hmm. Someting to note about the Grand Heresy: It will have to be carefully applied so that the Infernals and Abyssals that are overwhelmingly not our allies won't be able to use it against us and the Realm, not to speak about the actual demons. Maybe something about the nature of the "good" stolen power of Solars and Lunars bleeding through and making them not completely soulless monsters. With others similiar beings, they could too be ones you can work with, but far more likely to be truly "evil".
How does that sound?
Do you mind if I use this for my omake, if I find the time and energy for it? Because it seems pretty damn good subversive attempt, that actually meshes well with Zao planned and succeeded with us."It is said that the Anathema is a demon, striking at the weakest and most insignificant mortals, possessing them forever more. This is not inaccurate, but nor is it completely the truth. A mortal vessel, properly prepared, educated, and in the height of their talent can attract the attention of the Anathema, and when it attempts to possess them, can seal it's foul will and bend it's power to a more righteous cause. That this is not more common knowledge is for good reason--they are clever and cunning creatures, and will not always take the bait--and even if it should, their foul magic can still prevail should the vessel's will falter in the critical moment. But it is not impossible, and in these desperate times, all possible tools must be put to use in the service of Creation"
Hmm, if we're going to create a 3CD tier entity, isn't Moon far more deserving of our empowerment than a lump of jade? Probably a bit cheaper, too; if we splurge on the colossus, we might not have enough left for Moon, unless we assault the Mountain, which people seem to not want to do for some reason.
