I think you may be assuming that Nilul is a bit more cavalier about such matters than she truly is. She may talk and tease, but who knows what she's really like in that regard?

You assume that drugs bought with mere money can do anything to the likes of Cathak Polemgaos! He shrugs off Yozi Venom like spring water! The Silent Wind of Adorjan does no more than tickle him!*

*Assuming Adorjan is not particularly trying, as she normally doesn't

In any case, wearing him out would take way longer than twelve hours even if you had some means of empowering Nilul.

Hm, is Encounter is actually winning right now? That means you're going to be fighting him like, next update. I wouldn't normally include meta considerations but with the pseudo-lull in activity, you're unlikely to generate enough quantity / quality of stunts to drastically improve your chances.

If she wants to earn our trust, being forthright and volunteering strategically relevant information is a good start, particularly when it pertains to our survival. With our surveillance abilities, we should be able to ensure nobody is listening in, mitigating the risks of the plan leaking. It just seems obvious that we would have far better odds cooperating, as opposed to her doing her own thing and us hoping that it works out in our favor; the only instances where that wouldn't be true are edge cases where knowing would require Ulyssian to actively attempt to deceive people.

So, win and get the essence 4? Do full regalia cover ambitions e5 charm upgrade evocation? And can that be activated anytime after the essence buff or only on that same spending point?

Essence upgrade here seem to be enough of a buff to make the rest of the tourney easier,though it does require beating an optional EX boss for it

You could try to Encounter him in Ro8 instead of R16, though that means you would have to face one enemy, which could cost a lot of Willpower. Would give you time to attempt Ulyssianing him, though given his defenses it may just turn out like Peleps Delen.

The family emergency thing has potential, depending on whether or not it fits with Nilul's plan (another reason to know), and perhaps his supreme tactical insight could be compromised by anger, since he's well-practiced rather than an instinctive genius.

Hey, he could be eliminated! If he has between an 80% and 90% chance of winning every fight, that's only a 61% chance of reaching the finals. But the guy who eliminated him...

And, of course he may have a higher than 90% chance of winning many fights. 95%+, even!

You're not really in a position to arrange a Cathak family emergency, though, unless you have access to Sorcerous reach. But even then, it can't be certain that such efforts would succeed - the Cathak are not incompetent - and, being successful, that they would actually cause him to leave the Tournament. They have plenty of alternate resources, so it may only make him angry, and the tactical benefits, if they exist, could be overriden by his greater determination.

Rihaku out of curiosity, which of Ambition's evocations make up his SMA the Star Crown of Morning, Peerless Skill would seem to fit the bill of one its charms?

Ahh. Regarding this strategy, I feel like you don't completely understand Nilul, if she's trying to be genuine, or the persona she's affecting, if she's not. Nilul's (persona's) hangups do not care if something is or is not the most effective strategy, if it's an area where they interfere; otherwise she would simply have told you beforehand. While simply demanding the information because it's obviously the best course of action is likely what Ulyssian would try, in the absence of additional time to plan / observe, it is highly unlikely to work.

Was referring to "Beyond Perfection Ascendancy", and whether Full Regalia would include that as part of the Ambition evocation that will be trained. I was wondering if the charm need to be chosen upon gaining the new Essence level, or that can be done at any point after gaining the level.

And I don't mean EX in term of Nasuverse, just as a short for extra like you would use it in touhou

You already have BPA and are going to buy the second level regardless of which of the two options wins. You don't get the Charm BPA unlocks for free either way, all it does is remove the need for training time and raise your Essence by 1 for buying that Charm.
