Specifically, we had a "friend or idol" situation where the protagonist Rostam had to choose between saving Karna, who was our first ally, our love interest and our strongest combatant; and his family heirloom Sword, which was the only tie he had left to his
Despite this being the choice, a lot of people voted to save the sword instead. 15.6% of voters, specifically (and one desperately trying to pick a third option and saving both). Some did it just to go against the grain, but I suspect part of the pushback was due an Odd problem SV has.
Something similar happened in the quest Hollow Order was a sequel to, where we had to choose between risking our life to try and save our love interest and... Not doing that, but it's not quite the same as the only guarantee we had that said love interest was even alive was genre conventions.
