Even after the reboot, I'm still trapped in the wrong anime!

Alright, time to see what you are doing today

It's like the site's dice roller doesn't want to be dramatic or something.
You should ask my scientific calculator to roll when you want dramatic random die results ...

You won't like them.

A 1:2 CA 1:2 counterattack exchange where the original attacker can advance after the counterattacks is even less likely than a rolling a 20 when playing DnD.

My husband got one of those at London during our first, and so far only, Rise and Decline of the Third Reich campaign game.

I did not panic and the Allies did not lose. Germany surrendered in Winter 1941.

Also, it's slightly vague from last update but:

@Thozmp Is Dusk telepathic (i.e. can he hear our thoughts and instructions without our actually speaking them)?

Edit: and if so, other peoples' as well?

I'd still use an offsite roller but that just my opinion based on previous examples

I'm not apologizing.
[X] Try to find out why aren't there any other spirits?
Right, you're going to focus on where the spirits went.

First things first, maybe get a handle on the feel of the area. You aren't as good as Dusk at this, but you do have some experience.
Argus: 3,6,9,10 = 3 successes
Dusk: 1,2,7,9,10 = 3 successes
It's weird, can conferring with Dusk, you both seem to be coming to a similar conclusion.

Not only is there nothing here, but it's like there wasn't anything to begin with. You were expecting something like a riverbed gone dry, but... this... no lingering presences, no trails, no hint that there ever was anything.

Needless to say, you both are a little disturbed. Maybe you'll find something in town?

Dusk clambers onto your back, using his Shadow Blend technique, which works even in the brightest part of the day.

Argus: 5,6,8,8,9 = 3 successes
A some walking and a few twists and turns later you find yourself in front of the PresburnAldermire! Presburn(aldermire) public library.

You enter as quietly as you can. There doesn't seem to be anyone around with the exception of some older lady who is presumably the librarian, but is also asleep.
Dusk: 1,3,5,5,7,8,10 = 3 successes
Dusk decides to keep up his technique, just in case anyone comes in while you research what you can.

Dusk starts carefully taking what books he can, and you use the old computer, first looking into the local history, and then branching out rather quickly.
Argus & Dusk: 3,3,6,7 = 1 success
Argus & Dusk: 2,3,5,9 = 1 success
Argus & Dusk: 1,6,8,10 = 2 successes
Argus & Dusk: 1,3,5,9 = 0 successes, Fail
???: 2,2,2 = 0 successes, Fail
Argus & Dusk: 3,6,6,10 = 2 successes
What you find leaves you shaken.

Nothing.

There never was anything, no discussions with spirits, no agreements with mana, no pacts with daemons. Things which you knew to be known the world over, such as the war between the Mana of Cochmis Ocean and the Mana of Mount Wadetague which a continent and initiated several laws and statutes the world over, were just... not there.

Legends and myths, stories and make believe. That's all you could find. Nothing real, nothing that made sense to you. You screamed to release some of the complicated feelings you had building up, nearly waking the still sleeping librarian, which brought you to your next revelation.

You didn't recognize the names of the mountains, or the oceans, or especially the countries.

Nothing.
Argus: 3,6,9 = 1 success. Takes 1 Psyche damage.
Dusk: 2,6,7,8,10 = 4 Successes. No Psyche damage.
You left the library, well into the night, in a daze. You somehow managed to make it back to your little camp without realizing it, leaving you and Dusk alone with your thoughts.

Sleep came uneasy that night.
Dusk: 3,3,5,7,9,10 = 4 success.
Dusk used Healing Touch on Argus.
Argus heals 1 Psyche damage.
You are lost and alone. What to do?
[ ] Try and figure out how you got here.
[ ] Talk to some sort of official?
-[ ] Who even?
[ ] Something else.

Is this psyche damage in progress? At least we know we're in a place called Presburn.

???: 2,2,2 = 0 successes, Fail
Was there someone else in the library?
Dusk: 3,3,5,7,9,10 = 4 success.
Dusk used Healing Touch on Argus.
Argus heals 1 Psyche damage.
Thanks Dusk. Now what's do?

We have camping supplies, so we can afford to travel the land. At least for a little while before we run out of food, or need money.

Is this psyche damage in progress? At least we know we're in a place called Presburn.
Nah, that's Argus and Dusk arguing over the place being clearly labeled after the town they're in. Argus knows it isn't Aldermire, but just doesn't want Dusk to win this completely inane and pointless arguement. At least at the time.
Was there someone else in the library?
The librarian, who failed to even wake up when you were screaming in frustration.

At least now Argus understands that they're now in another world.
You enter as quietly as you can. There doesn't seem to be anyone around with the exception of some older lady who is presumably the librarian, but is also asleep.
undefined
You're a disgrace to librarians all over the world.

So this is a magical girl world where all the supernatural stuff happens in secret.
Dusk: 3,3,5,7,9,10 = 4 success.
Dusk used Healing Touch on Argus.
Argus heals 1 Psyche damage.
Good job, Dusk.

[X] Try and figure out how you got here.

If I was stranded on another world with no goal or locals to ask for help, I'd try figure out how I got here so I could find a way home.
