The Winter Lady trying to sleep with Ha'ri though? That seems much more likely.

Third Base only for all Eternity, unless Mab retires, trades up to be a Mother Winter, or gets killed. The position of Lady is basically blue balls forever. Maeve just happens to out her frustrations in other ways.
 
Huh. Thinking on it, given that the Lord Warden's portfolio basically includes redemption what with the story about Darth Vader...

It'll be pretty funny/interesting if the story of Clarent the sword gets worked into his mythology. A sword of peace and ceremony and passing of power (i.e. knighting ceremony), stolen and used in ways that perverts its purpose, used to destroy peace, to strike the coward's blow of betrayal against the rightful ruler/sovereign. The god of redemption, of thieves, and righteousness steals the sword back from one unworthy of it and restores it to a righteous and just purpose to be used for good instead of evil.

Well, I mean, given some of the hints Mab drops in canon and some of the hints she's dropped in this story, the new part might be that Ha'ri has gone from 1 psychotic fairy girlfriend, to 2 psychotic fairy girlfriends.

Though Maeve is a bag of nuts even by Winter Fae standards, so there is that.

There are actually exceptions, it's mentioned in the short that she could sleep with Faeries and/or the Winter Knight to no ill effect.

Right. One of the Winter Lady's jobs is to collect tribute from the Winter-aligned fae.

That "tribute" is in the form of fae children who will, in turn, man the Wall and Gates and fight off Outsiders. Because she takes the children of the Winter fae, her mantle denies her the ability to no longer be "the Maiden", as allowing her to have children would be out of balance with her role. The mantle doesn't recognize such niceties as "birth control".[/quote]

Exactly. I have "Cold Case" open in front of me. Believe me, as one of the few other prolific Dresden fic writers, I kinda know my stuff.

However, between the fact that Heka apparently broke the previous Lady so bad that the memories carried over to the next wielder of the position and Harry consuming his power so thoroughly (along with everything else that was on the table at the time) that people who know Heka confuse Harry with him, I wouldn't rule out the possibility of him being able to sleep with Meave

That being said I support this 'relationship' either way,
I mean sure it's not the OTP Lash x Harry but at least it's much better then Lord Warden x Muminah

I starting to wonder that if Ammit escaped her host disguised within the Unas intestines then it could end up with her being hosted by Muminah which could lead to Harry x Ammit as odd as that would be. At the very least there is a good chance that Harry would feel compelled to let Muminah make the choice to play host atleast temporarily since Ammit would need a host and Harry is not going to force either the Russians, Kinaid or Ivy to play that role - and we can't be sure Harry can play host to another Goa'uld symbiote.

Edit: Actually since Muminah as a Priestess may not be capable of hosting a symbiote given her tatoos though I guess its also just as likely that she can be given permission.

That is definitely an intriguing thought for Ammit's possible survival
It would also add a twist to Harry's and Muminah's relationship that I would approve, if it stays permanent, even if it would mean that Ammit wouldn't be any longer the hulking space dinosaur that we have learned to love
 
There's always the unfortunate scenario of Maeve deciding that if the Lord Warden is playing hard to get, she can go for his younger self (if she is aware I mean, of his former identity). Harry Dresden is far easier to mess with— though possibly also harder to have intercourse with (in the non-conventional manner, of course, because Mantles) if only because he would be scared shitless of any romantic overtures from the Fae.

Of course, since the relationship did not exist in the future Dresden came from, it would probably be apocalyptic if Maeve does hit it off with Dresden...

As far I remember Mab words were about only about procreation sex, and we know that words are very important for fairy...so there are ways for warden/lady relationship :ogles:

No, words aren't important at all. It's concepts. Like, they can say whatever they please, so long as they don't lie. There's lots of ways to say things that aren't lying but might as well be. It is the very act of actually lying that is a problem for them. By the same token, the Lady of Winter is a maiden, which, by the literal definition means she has not been touched sexually. This doesn't mean she can do it in the butt, or just not have kids, it means she cant have sex.
