Skynet Manufacturing, Experimental Explosives theorization. Just some theorization I have about the techs on display. I may properly package this into an omake eventually but it's late right now.

The two main objects of interest are Glimmer and the Gale Cold Fusion Reactor. By studying the methodology used in the cold fusion reactor it may be possible to create a cold fusion "Ignitor" which then kicks off a vastly more powerful hot fusion secondary stage. Additionally, it may be possible to engineer cold fusion warheads in a similar manner.
Glimmer meanwhile poses a vastly more interesting prospect for a variety of reasons. The simplest being the potential for allowing the creation of missiles able to adapt their warhead to different missile profiles, using a small internal glimmer reserve and flash-morphing it into a warhead when desired, or using it a ways back in order to allow for the rapid manufacturing of these different warheads in the field. But there is a much more devastating possibility. Glimmer is capable of being made from energy, and then turned into any matter desired. But what if we didn't turn it into matter but rather back into energy? The potential explosive yield of a glimmer based warhead would result from the simple E=MC^2 equation, potentially dramatically outpacing the energy output of even thermonuclear weapons.
Additionally when concerning the most likely methods of dispensing these new explosives formulations, namely in the form of missiles and drones, glimmer's manufacturing abilities may allow for a significant improvement in almost areas of function through the creation of superior electronics.
Of course these ideas are not necessarily restricted to simply being used for weapons. If the theory about Glimmer energy conversion is correct it could allow for a new type of engine, for either propulsion or energy generation. Meanwhile Cold Fusion being used to ignite a hot fusion reaction could be used in the form of allowing for the creation of Torch Drives.

Meanwhile Across the Galaxy!
Well then.
Reward:
The vast reaches of the former Sangheili Empire—and the countless souls that inhabit it—have fallen into another echo of a bygone age. This is no age of honor, nor of wisdom. This is the Age of Blood, where strength alone dictates rule, and where the only certainty is that war shall never sleep.

Once again...the shadow of their fallen empire lingers over them like a tomb.
The Elites are going through it...
Reward:
Some Sangheili Warlords have refused to kneel to the mindless hunger for war. They will hold firm, standing against their kin's folly and bloodlust, even as the void fills with the wreckage of another age lost to violence. Whether they succeed or merely delay the inevitable remains to be seen—but for now, hope has not yet perished.
But there is hope.
Reward:
The Brutes are forging their path through their Iron Age, and will soon enough forge great empires and philosophy.
I wonder what kind of civilization will emerge for the Brutes.
The Unggoy remain preoccupied with fixing their problems at home as their interstellar projects focus on matters closer to home, like their moon bases and such.
Here's hoping The Unggoy get out of their problems.
Reward:
The Kig-Yar Pirate Lords and their cutthroat brethren have thrown themselves into the chaos, seeking fortune, plunder, and fleeting glory. For now, they sail the stars as kings of the lawless frontier, selling themselves for the rich who could afford them and taking from those who could not.

For all power, like the tide is fleeting.

And they wouldn't have it any other way.
The Kig-Yar take advantage of the galaxy's current state because of course they do.
Lekgolo: The Whispering Depths
D100 Roll: 6
Staring Into the Abyss
Aw shit.
Reward:
The Eliksni's migration into the Orion Arm has begun in earnest. Whether they will be a blessing, a scourge, or merely another wandering people etched into the uncertain fate of this era remains to be seen.

But in this ever-changing cacophony, they take a moment to see with jaded eyes the rest of the galaxy, and see that life continues in spite of everything.
I wonder how long it will be until The Fallen find Earth?
Reward:
The Cabal do not enter the Orion Arm in force—not yet. They turn their focus inward, consolidating their holdings, waiting, and preparing. Their time will come. And when it does, the galaxy will tremble beneath their boots once more.
Concerning.
Reward:
The Hive are silent. Their absence is a gift, and the universe is thankful for such a fragile peace.

But peace is not the way of the Hive.

King Oryx Slumbers still.
Concerning.
Reward:

The San'Shyuum are no more. Their species is lost to a cosmic fluke, their last survivors fading into oblivion before the century's end.

But their homeworld remains. Their secrets lie buried beneath the dust of their failure.

And now, they are ripe for the taking.
And so, The Covenant never rises. What shall take its place? And who will plunder the treasures of the Sna'Shyuum?
Reward:

The Shadow of Sanghelios has taken a small portion of the Black Fleet to hunt down Forerunner artifacts, seeking to keep them from falling into the hands of rival powers. What he finds, and what it awakens, remains to be seen.
EVEN MORE CONCERNING.

Yeah I wanted to see how the rest of everyone is doing, and realized a Voting regret that I didn't vote for mass effect to Counter act the Resistance Series...Could have been longer and more detailed then this.
The Elites are going through it...
Yeah but going of Europian Dark Age Logic, they should be consolidating into something new within a few decades.
There is always hope in the black void of space.

The Sangheli never all the way gave into dark and despair. What are they cowards?
I wonder what kind of civilization will emerge for the Brutes.
Depends on if they Nuke themselves, we haven't gotten their yet.
Here's hoping The Unggoy get out of their problems.
They aren't in a really bad position, if you really think about it, it's just standard growing pains.
The Kig-Yar take advantage of the galaxy's current state because of course they do.
The Kig Yar know that as long as they don't bring the hammer of empire or the Black Fleet upon them they'll be fine.

And they are the sort of people that are actually important power brokers in the Arm.

They have the largest fleet, it's a bit ad hoc, but it's there.

Unlike the Sangheli or the Cabal.

Those guy's scrapped back in the day with the largest fleets in the galaxy.
Yep... That too be continued is there for a reason.

They be poking something.
I wonder how long it will be until The Fallen find Earth?
Space is really big, if the Witness can't find us, the Fallen won't.
The Cabal...is an intelligently run empire. They be ready to fight only after securing their frontier.

Because Calus is an incredibly competent ruler...He's old enough to remember the Sangheli when they had more stuff to play with.

The Hive has not awaken yet and we are thankful it hasn't.
And so, The Covenant never rises. What shall take its place? And who will plunder the treasures of the Sna'Shyuum?
Well, its a good question, and everyone knows what the Forerunners are so, that will be the next thing for the rumor mill to be.

Because clearly I've unleashed something powerful...Like that keyship that's still there.
EVEN MORE CONCERNING.
Ladies and Gentleman, the Darth Vader of the Orion Arm, the Shadow of the Sanghelios.

The False Arbitor.

The One who took the Great Sangheli Empire and broke it over his Knee.

A man with the Skill of Thel Vadam, and the intelligence of Xytan 'Jar Wattinree, and the resources of a long shattered Sangheli Empire.

Since the Prophets are dead, we needed the Galaxy a GOOD VILLIAN and Edboy happily provided you with the most competent Villian in this new setting.

Because THIS MAN IS GOING FOR A FIGHT! Even if he's on an Errand for Witty.

Since the Prophets are dead, we needed the Galaxy a GOOD VILLIAN and Edboy happily provided you with the most competent Villian in this new setting.

Because THIS MAN IS GOING FOR A FIGHT! Even if he's on an Errand for Witty.
I can see it now, with John Connor and The False Arbiter.

A Champion of the Light against a Champion of The Darkness.

One shall stand, one shall fall.

I can see it now, with John Connor and The False Arbiter.
Nahh, Johnny's gonna be long dead or doing something else.

Arby's gonna fight an Arby in What is basically a Pope Fight.

Because False Arbiter isn't our antagonist, he's the Sangheli's antagonist mostly...

I don't think I'd want him to show up on earth when we haven't figured out space flight long term yet.
One shall stand, one shall fall.
A Concert of Worlds vs An Empire of Shade.

If you get the reference you get a cookie.

We are the North American Empire (NAE)
nae nae *lil dance*
Honestly, I kinda went with trying to write it in a more general idea, without getting into the details. Leaning into the IRL how it went, except minus Russia's ability to regroup and let the war itself season its mob of very unprepared troops and commanders into decent shape.😅

given we been told most of the world follows the same beats untill the 2010's to 2020's

im going with "same as OTL but worse outcomes for russia" vibes

this means more coup attempts from their PMC's and militias (wich happened OTL),worsened economic situation and more sanctions (along less chinese support),and a ukraine that got beefed up by nato and the european union before the conflict result in a far more gruesome outcome

the only way to explain why russia didnt mass mobilize troops or nuked ukraine would be massive unrest and chaos back at home, wich we can tie back why they suck so much as handling the chimera

Meanwhile Across the Galaxy!
Great work.
Canon.

As for reward, choose one:
1. +15 to an action
2. Upgrade this reward:
They Fought the Darkness and the Darkness Won (canon) (+15 to a single Forerunner related action (one-time))
From +15 to +40.

The Ukraine Reversal
Good work.
Canon
+5 to an action

By the way, guys my friend wonders in regards to his Halloween entry.
Would it be weird if the guys, who are supposed to go as Helldivers; they instead go dressed as soldiers from Killzone's Helghast?
Hey, their armor is now HD2 canon.

Also, Chimera Virus. When it hits, it's gonna hit harder than Corona ever did.
[] Create in-house Medical Wing (0/500; 100R per dice): With the addition of Eris, Skynet has someone to handle immediate medical emergencies. But at the same time, it would be a better idea to give her a fully equipped medical wing from which can operate from.

[] Into the Medicine Business (0/200; 75R per dice): Eris came to you and with the existence of Glimmer, she told you that it would be possible for Skynet enter the medicine production business. With Glimmer, Skynet could produce an unlimited amount of medicine and sell it a a cheap price, or even donate it for free for the PR.
I suggest taking these two options next turn.

To be Clovis Bray, was to know that you were the smartest man alive.

This meant Clovis knew everything there was to know about Science and every study that came with it. Chemistry, biology, geology, astronomy, and physics, Clovis Bray knew of all laws, facts and theories of those studies by heart. No living man on Earth could hope to match his intelligence, he had the highest IQ in the world, and he was destined to surpass the likes of Albert Einstein, Steven Hawking, and Alan Turing!

He might as well be something of a GOD amongst scientists.

"What I'm asking is very simple for you to understand Tucker…"

There should have been nothing in his way to greatness, nobody running against him. From the day he was born, that was how it's always been.

"Sir, you have to understand. After the death of their CEO, they were just an average company- "

"Tucker, don't insult me or yourself by giving me any of your worthless excuses and stop looking at that tablet. Please try to remember the basic manner that it's polite to look at someone when they're talking to you."

Until now.

"How. Did. You. Miss. This?"

The secretary - Tucker, a misplaced name for someone who couldn't create the finest of cloth if his life depended on it - before him finally looked up from the tablet in his hand with some apprehension in his eyes. Which suited Clovis fine, some fear in his employees/servants made them work better.

They were in Clovis' office at one of his many penthouses across the Commonwealths. The office itself had a grandiose neo-futuristic design that would make anyone look around in awe. It was an exact replica of his personal office in Bray Mansion and that was the same for each of his offices in every penthouse.

In another world, where Skynet didn't exist, if Gale Cameron was just an unused cell in her father's scrotum, Clovis wouldn't be feeling the burning anger inside of him that was ready to ignite into a hateful rage in his own office. The one place where he should be in control untouched by childish emotions, where he should have been calmest, and Skynet just made that impossible with The Gale Reactor.

"S-sir," Tucker stuttered with the fear of someone who knew their job was on the line. "Other than hiring former West Coast branch general manager Lance Zeus, new division heads and researching The Sloot Digital Coding System, Skynet was doing essentially nothing! The Gale Reactor must have been a closely guarded secret-"

"That it was a secret is obvious Tucker," Clovis sharply interrupted. "Do you remember my question, or do I need to remind you?"

"Our sources for information on Skynet's projects came from online news outlets focused on technology," Tucker said quickly, sensing the hidden threat. "Unless we had inserted any agents within the corporation, I had no way of learning about the Reactor, sir."

"Then tell me Tucker, why didn't you order the Head of Security to do so?"

"Sir, with all due respect, you said it yourself. You theorised to me that with Gale Cameron's passing, Skynet was in a gradual death spiral and the new CEO John Conner was in your words, 'a short-sighted meathead who's only good for killing people'."

"And he still is."

"Regardless sir, I believed there was little point in sending any agents to infiltrate Skynet because of your theory. They were never wrong after all. However… if I knew what I know now sir, I wouldn't have made that mistake."

Clovis glared at Tucker with frigid inscrutable eyes.

Then, he let out a breath and nodded his head. "I see. I will admit I theorized that Skynet was a sinking ship."

Seeing the lack of intensity from him, Tucker also relaxed somewhat. "I won't make a mistake like this again sir. You-"

"You're right, you won't make another mistake again. You're fired."

"What?!"

With an unamused expression at Tucker's wide-eyed reaction, Clovis shrugged. "After you subtly told me to my face that this was my fault, what did you expect?"

"I wasn't- I was doing what you thought was right!"

"No, you believed an incorrect theory that I mentioned off-hand with surface-bare evidence to it and didn't think to communicate with me about what I wanted. If you had, then you would have known that I wanted you to plant agents into Skynet, but that happened in a timeline where you keep your job and you simply don't exist in it. I would wish you luck in your future endeavours, but your caveman-brained assumptions caused me to lose a moment that should have been mine. So before you entered this room I pulled some strings to ensure you never get another job where you can spread your stupidity, and if there's anything I despise more in the face of existence, it's stupidity. Goodbye, Mr. Tucker."

As Clovis laid out his speech, Tucker's face went from shocked, to slacking in despair, then red with outrage.

"You bastard!" he cried as he took only two steps towards Clovis with a raised fist before security burst in.

With a minor struggle, they restrained Tucker quickly enough. It was good that Clovis called them before his meeting with Tucker started, Clovis would rather not have a fist planted in his jaw.

"Oh, one last thing," Clovis beamed. "Tell anyone about what happened in this office, and you'll be six feet under before you even form a single sentence."

Tucker yelled all sorts of insults and threats as he was dragged away but Clovis was done listening to him and already planning his replacement. He walked over to his chair, one that would have made any billionaire green with envy, sat down and contemplated.

As of this moment, Skynet was almost on every news headline in The Sixteen Commonwealths in the North American Empire and the world. Its value was rising higher than anyone could have reasonably expected. They were being bombarded with requests, congratulations, inquiries and offers from every organization and every notable person Clovis knew.

The reason why?

The unveiling of a nuclear reaction called Cold Fusion, which was secretly created by Gale Fucking Cameron, and placed in a reactor named after the bitch. This meant endless clean efficient energy was now available to everyone who wanted a piece of the pie. He could see it now, a Gale Reactor in every capital city in the world. It was only a matter of time.

And it had nothing to do with him.

When he learnt the news in his personal office in Bray Mansion, his initial reaction was… poor, to say the least. A fist-sized hole in a wall, a lot of broken decor and small trinkets that cost half a fortune, nothing that couldn't be replaced but still. Thankfully, nobody had seen his loss of control and everyone who saw the aftermath bought the lie that there was an accident but those facts did nothing to soothe his ego.

Clovis had accomplished many things in his life as the smartest man alive, he should have been able to create Cold Fusion himself! The possibility that it could be done was always within reach if Clovis had the right people and tools, and yet, somehow, undeniably, no matter how much he hated it, the fact was Gale had done it before him with fewer resources than he had.
It should have been him. Gale was supposed to be a dull woman who didn't understand a lick about science and yet she had taken the glory that should have been rightfully his from beyond the grave. The Nobel Foundation was even going to toss a couple of prizes to her! Posthumously of course, but it was a worthless consolation. Another blow to his ego.

Then there was Lance Zeus. Thinking of Lance, Clovis couldn't help but scowl. There was a man perfect for business, a competent mind who could run a tight ship. But when Clovis asked him to make a few concessions, what did he do? He turned his back on him for the feelings of Clovis Bray employees and a declining sister. What a waste.

But none of that could compare to the worst, most humiliating part of this whole Gale Reactor debacle.

He had to give his congratulations to Skynet on the goddamn news with a smile. Because he had to keep up the persona of a 'good' man to the public, he had no choice. Because he'd underestimated Skynet.

Gale was laughing at him from whatever afterlife she was in! And her former scared boy toy John Conner was probably doing it too! Even that sentimental fool Lance Zeus!

Clovis gripped the armrests of his chair as tight as he could, then took in a deep breath and let it out. Control. He had to stay in control.

It wasn't the end of the world. He'd lost the first battle, but not the war. He just had to be patient.

Sooner or later, John Connor would make a mistake, and when he did, Clovis would be ready for it.

A/N: My first omake for this quest. If I've made Clovis as insufferable as possible, then I'm doing this right.

After all, the Traveller started the trend of putting her mark on all tech gifted to us.:D:whistle:

Awesome.
Yeah, this fits Clovis' personality.

Congrats on being the first to complete a Wanted Omake.

As for the reward, choose one:
a. One, full auto-success in an action in stealing one thing from Clovis without getting caught.
b. +5 to all rolls that are against Clovis (permanent)

Though there is one tiny thing you need to change:

Since Clovis does not have any guys in the company, there is no way to know that the R&D was working on the Sloot....John nor any of the group would dare say they were working on that less they become the laughing stock of the nerd community.

Ball Mom wants what's best.

That's not BM.
Right now our best tech has been from Star Pony.
