Wow, epic fail from Russia this Quest.
Well let's see what we can do next turn.

Those where some wild rolls.

Gale: You can't beat me Brey! I have the Multiverse of myself to steal from!

Brey: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

JC: I wonder what Horsey can give me tomorrow.
The peak of this is…

To our MC, it's just ever escalating 'what the hell was she up to'. Given he has no clue what is going on, and the gifts were very much sent to not disabuse any such notion. So it's more gets another dream, wonders what other nonsense Grace somehow stashed away somewhere. :D

I mean, considering what we know of Gale, before she died, she had an AI and a Cold Fusion Reactor.

That line of thinking isn't out of character.

This was what truly bothered you. You knew Gale was brilliant, her breakthroughs in cold fusion and AI alone were enough to solidify that claim. But cracking the secret of nanomachines and making them work exactly like from a fictional game? That was a leap too far.

Sure, Gale had known Metal Gear Solid was one of your favorite game series. But for her to not only create functional nanomachines but to design them specifically to mimic SOP? It was too much of a coincidence to dismiss.
Well, at least before this, there was some suspicion of something bigger at play. But then he got sent to a random 'abandoned warehouse', with two very complete mecha, sitting there in property she owned through shell companies.

At this point, he may be reevaluating what he thought he knew. :V

One thing I'll note about the TSF, it was built for a specific battlefield paradigm that straight up won't really exist. It was built to fill the rough role of aircraft in areas where Laser Class make flying units a no go. And also be able to survive and fight back against BETA which frequently try to engage in melee. On that note, we should shrink the Cold Fusion reactor enough to stick in our mechs, because then we could probably upgrade the TSF's guns into railguns.

The F22 is arguably the best option we could've rolled for a TSF though because it was pretty explicitly built for post BETA-defeat operations, though only really through being engineered for stealth against other human craft.

Also the Muv Luv mech is the one it makes the most sense for Gale to have been able to get her hands on, since Muv Luv has some established dimensional travel and certain people (Cough Yuuko Cough) probably be willing to trade for key bits of tech.

neat

We should keep pursuing miniaturization of our assets, the reactor needs to be vehicle sized if we wamt to make use of it for anything

Maybe also improve batteries?

Long short story, energy infrastructure relies on 5 things

>production (how much can you make)
>transmision (how much and how fast)
>Storage (how much can you store for how long)
>cost (how much of the 3 units per weight/volume)
>density (how much of the 3 traits per weight/volume)

For example lets imagine you have the perfect generation method....and is so massive you can only use it for cities

Meaning vehicles still rely on gas

This mean is good in production and cosr, but not as good in density

Anything mobile (weapons and vehicles) needs density
As well batteries

And if we are able to start the production on clean affordable electric cars then Skynet would be a lead company in the electric car industry, though depending if there are no other companies that have tried to peruse the path before and are successful.

Oh man, I can only imagine the huge amount of legal licensing and IP copyright infringement headaches John is gonna experience if he goes public with it all this stuff.

The next 4 Gale Reactor really should go to NAE big cities, Mexico City, Toronto, New York and Los Angeles. And then the turn after that Chicago and Houston while the other can go to other cities in the world

Given IRL electric car history…

Even if an electric car niche was formed, we'd bulldoze through and dominate if we manage to fit those reactors into cars safely, by sheer dint of removing the need for charging stations.

Edboy's . The magoose dice have never started an interstellar invasion one turn and then killed over a hundred million savior figures in the space of a single night the next turn.
Magoose in his Jar Jar quest had the Judicials go to the Core and Mid Rim with complete success.
Only to crash and epically burn in the Outer Rim, losing sight of thousands of ships and the wealth of multiple worlds.

There will be a roll in the next opening to see if the copyright issues were dealt with by StarPony.

One thing to note that between Wolf and Raptor, there are different variables.

For one, right now, the Wolf can be MP.
But it's limited in it's deployment for now since only women can use it, if they have SOP.
Not to mention to other 'special' requirement that might not entice female users.
Then again, if this is the price to allow women to use it without having to have super PTSD, then it's a fair trade.

Meanwhile the Raptor, you will need to do a special action to expand the Factory physically to have the capacity to construct the TSF.
The GPL can make the parts but you need special factory hardware to put them together.

By the way, how come none of you are talking about the revolver? Something that John and S will find more BULLSHIT than the TSF and Wolf.

Yes, but magoose's quest has Jar Jar as the supreme chancellor of a galactic republic. John's just some CEO of a small but growing company who can't pass the qualifications check for the life of him. The scale is way different.

Though, we are shaping up to be the arsenal of Earth, with us using Ivan's stock market skills to crash invent railguns, and now with mecha to reverse engineer.

It's more that we haven't quite gone big yet, and are escalating to meet the ongoing escalation in the background, compared to Magoose quest where we were plopped into the middle of the central conflict verbally sparring with Sidious's lackies to save the Republic.

crash invent railguns

im curious where the hell did they get a material that doesnt get thorn apart by the shoots themselves
i will assume is tech destiny earth has that we dont

tho the issue still the energy
you need power for the shoots,a railgun weaker than a arrow is no good
a railgun that needs yu to carry a warehouse sized building on your back is not useful for infantry

we still gotta invest on reducing the energy supply

[] Create in-house Medical Wing (0/500; 100R per dice): With the addition of Eris, Skynet has someone to handle immediate medical emergencies. But at the same time, it would be a better idea to give her a fully equipped medical wing from which can operate from.

[] Into the Medicine Business (0/200; 75R per dice): Eris came to you and with the existence of Glimmer, she told you that it would be possible for Skynet enter the medicine production business. With Glimmer, Skynet could produce an unlimited amount of medicine and sell it a a cheap price, or even donate it for free for the PR.

[] Discover any possible DARPA contracts (0/100; 50R per dice): While Skynet has a strong contract with the NAE in both civilian and military sides; they were just to simply manufacture and deliver computer parts. But this does not mean looking for contracts that dealt with specific things was not off the table.

[] Run Security Training (0/700; 50R per dice): With Cayde now in charge of security, he wants to see just how well the security is in Skynet and see if it can be improved, even if the security is mostly composed of active military personnel and was under your command.

Looking back at Q3 for these since Q4 hasn't been posted yet, but I think we should def put 3 dice on DARPA, and begin pumping into either ST with Free Dice, or get to work on the Medical Wing and then Medicine Business, but we need to make sure security is wrapped so tight it'd be more effective to just fucking kill yourself rather than try anything.

i hope we get some "mundane" contracts like "new paint to protect against rust" and "provide spare parts" type stuff

I mean the moment we show them the railgun those fuckers are gonna veritable choke us to death with money, so like, yes, probably gonna ask us for more and more fancy shit. Also at some point we should find a way to make super R&D facilities like the Glimmer stuff, but idk if thats possible lmao.

As does John's group of friends...

At this rate, Skynet is going to be the king of corporations.

Roll= 29, FAIL
>qualifications roll fails again

As expected.
Chimera have access to their first tower....and Russia is still in the dark....literally!!!
>Russia still has no idea wtf is going on in their own country

The Chimera are going to surprise curbstomp Russia at this rate.

I wonder if we can analyze the Seventh Seraph revolver to reverse engineer the infinite ammo tech.
