All honesty? Given what exactly the Witness is and the HOW of the Halo Arrays function, I think it could kill it.
Unfortunately it didn't, for a variety of reasons.
After all, by design, it kinda needs to not kill all life. Given its purpose was a gambit to give a chance for life to return, not, to wipe out all life. Necessitating the existence of 'safe zones'.
And also Sheild Worlds exist...they probably hid in one of those.

So in general we want to strengthen nations bordering russia borders

Central asia, china, nordic europe and eastern europe
Also japan if you wanna include the sea

Lets pray russia isnt pulling a crimea take over in this timeline (2014)

Low intensity invasion is the last thing we need

China isn't worth investing in. They won't hold long enough to matter.

china still the 2nd superpower of the world, even uf they lack experience they can and will drown a enemy in metal and bullets leveraging their economy and industry

Is more a matter of how they react to the virus
WIth covid they initially tried hiding it then went HARD on crackdowns against

I trust china to put up a fight for its survival

And bodies. Largest population in the world.
Ah yes the great Human Wave tactic. Forgive me if I don't admire people that have that as their first option.

leveraging their economy and industry
You mean the economy that's currently imploding on itself?

And the more people that die. The less that can work the factories and thus their industry.

I ultimately just don't believe they'll be anything more than a speed bump.

In game is 2014 covid and the chinese housing sector bust has not happened yet
They still growing strong at this point

Like i get the memes of "china weak and will collapse at any moment"

But their coastal regions are well developed and industrialized, with desers and mountain ranges protecting lot of their regions as well

The idea they will just collapse because "china bad" reeks of bad decision making based on memes

Is 2014 in game not 1950,china has left the iliterate peasant army stage 30 years-ish ago
China has the means to defend itself

The issue is a lack of experience not material means

China's military is not to be underestimated. We have no clue their condition, but even IRL, the dumpster fire that was the Russian military became less of one from the fires of war.

Never mind how even the USSR in WW2 were decidedly more advanced tactically than the stereotypes of simply throwing more warm bodies at a problem.

Sorry let me clarify. I believe there are other better options to invest in preparing for the Chimera.

It's also a question of cost effectiveness.
Sure, but the point is to harden nations around russia to box the Chimera in and limit their impact on the global economy so the world has time to unite against them. I'm certainly going to invest in the other nations worth a damn around them first, but I'm not just going to ignore a 5k kilometer across buffer nation connecting to russia.

I don't need to be told other people will make better use of our tech in all likelihood and fight the Chimera much more capably. It's not relevant. Their location is. I need the nations occupying area's near the borders of russia to hold on for a few Q longer so the nations with a chance of doing well will have time to mobilize and make use of the SOP once John has an in quest reason to reveal it. Not everything is a quality issue. Let's be tactical, practical, and realistic.

Indeed, better we throw their bodies at the Chimera before we rollout the good stuff.

And then again...there is one more thing.

Star horse Gacha Game, for cool tech! Or talking to Ball Mom.
We need more glimmer factories and progress on armstrong nanites than we need a third bit of super tech we don't have a good explanation for. We have the keys for a victory, we just need to build on them, not divert money away from glimmer factories to ask for more stuff. At least, not yet.
I mean long term practically.

It would be great for Humanities unity if Russia and China collapsed. It would greatly improve the ability of organizations like the U.N to actually do anything.
Yes, and there probably going to. It's the whole reason I want the buffer zones. Russia is going to collapse in in quarter 4 of this year. China will last a little bit longer, but between the costs of the reactors(gonna charge them extra) and damage to their northern industry and infrastructure, odds are they collapse economically post chimera war.

And also, given it's CHINA. The sheer loss of product volume from its collapse, could do BAD THINGS to the global economy. So, helping them not collapse too fast is probably gonna be useful, given we need time to roll out our sweet manufacturing tech.

Gotta keep china alive untill the transition to glimmer based economy is completed

Also, with scoot code done,do you guys think AI research is gonna skyrocket?

You can pack a couple extra orders of magnitude of data in the same package, that alone should cheapen resesrch costs

Personally I want more tools to throw at the problem, if need be.

Knowing our luck we'll need them.
Is it though? Right now we can't even share the sloot because it's too much wow power on top of the reactor. We certainly won't be in a position to reveal the SOP and a second wonder tech without the world collectively coming to tear skynet apart like a thanksgiving turkey as soon as the dust is settled. After another this turn and next of ramping up glimmer trash/energy conversion, we can see what else the horse has for us.

Hey! Our luck is great!... Outside of traveler dreams anyways, where it's just plain wacky. Ivan just doubled our income for the fourth turn in the row, and lucky rolls finished the sloot early too give us two more free dice.

I'll concede the administrator rolls. John was born to fail and fail again at being qualified for a desk job. Fair enough universe. Fair enough.
Edit: Its not a matter of weather we have the resources that's not in question, No what I'm worried about is a lack of diverse tools for a problem.
Except it's kind of pointless to insistently focus on getting more tools that we are incapable of utilizing immediately rather than focusing on growth. You want more stuff before we are even in a position to leverage any of it to an appreciable impact. The wiser move is to focus on build up and ask for more stuff later when we are coming close to being able to safely offer up another miracle tech. right now, we'd just go from having two techs we need to hide from everyone to having three instead. It wouldn't likely have any meaningful impact on the event of this turn or the one to follow.

And also, given it's CHINA. The sheer loss of product volume from its collapse, could do BAD THINGS to the global economy. So, helping them not collapse too fast is probably gonna be useful, given we need time to roll out our sweet manufacturing tech.
25% of the worlds electronics, and Skynet is nowhere near ready to pick up the load yet.

Sloot. No. We can't let anyone know about it so no one else is using it. Since it's looking like we'll be handing over SOP unless we get like, Ironman suits in a turn or two, maybe even if we get that, it's probably not going to end up being shared until year 3, possibly longer.

They Fought the Darkness and the Darkness Won
Awesome.
Now for the reward, you have to option to choose from.
1. +5 to any action
or
2. +15 to a single Forerunner related action (one-time)

Regarding to the Halo being used on Witty.
I have two ways.
The only way for a Halo to fully, 100% kill Witty is that the Halo is powered up by both Light and Darkness and Witty is point blank in front of it.
A normal Halo could only injure him.

-[][CLIENT] NAE 2MD
How much: (per quarter)
-[][COST] Write In
-[][CLIENT] Ukraine(John did a Country Raffle) 2MD
How much: (per quarter)
-[][COST] Write In

Total 6325R

How many reactors per MD? It's important to scale price to the amount we are building. We're getting a 1000 for our excess from sunnydale. America will get thrice that much from cities like New your of San Francisco.
Like I said, you can state the price, though 1000 should be the norm.

Now regarding the location, you only stated NAE and Ukraine; do you have a specific place for them in there? Otherwise I will decide where the Reactors go.

Also, regarding Ukraine. I will be honest, I have no idea how to touch it.
I am somewhat tempted to use a dice to determine it's status in this universe.
Between (No war ever occurred; War still on-going but in a ceasefire due to Traveler existence; or Post-War, with a secondary dice to see how it ended)
What do you guys think?

By the way, @Randino Treviani , how come you don't finish the suit action?
It's been over a year already.
I am half tempted that if the dice are generous, the suit (in addition being John Wick bulletproof), it of the same 'quality' as the suit used by Armstrong (you know the clothes that somehow despite all the things done to Armstrong (like Raiden rapid punching him or Armstrong's power up and bulking up) did not disintegrate)

Oh and to end this.....VOTE OPEN.
Till Saturday Night.
