    You're not sure how much Wo understands. So far she's only demonstrated a basic understanding of... some things. But you have to hope. You have to hope that she can understand why it's bad for her to turn into an Abyssal, even if she's partially one to begin with! You'll... You'll do your best.

    "The Abyssals..." you sit down, holding her hands, "The Abyssals are our enemies. They're.... we really don't know what they are, but they're evil. Shipgirls like me help protect Humanity from them. Abyssals want to destroy everything for no good reason at all! Please. I admit that I don't know a lot of the how or why, but this oil that you're drinking... it's turning you into one of them. You'll become an Abyssal, and then we won't be friends anymore. You'll hate me, you'll hate my mission, you'll hate my friends and comrades... If you do that, we'll have to kill each other. I don't want that."

    Wo stares at you, confused. You need to say more.

    "Wo, we're friends, aren't we?" your voice wavers, on the brink of pleading, "I want to be friends. I want us to keep being friends. Please, don't throw that away. We'll go home. I'll get you something nice to drink. We don't need to hide here. So please don't leave me. Not like this... You're... You're..."

    You hug the Carrier to your chest, a rather awkward pose for the taller ship compared to your own short stature, "You're the only person I've found who finally... really believes in me."

    Wo is silent for a tense minute, before pulling away and smiling. She puts down the tiny barrel of oil and... pats you on the head.

    "Flagship is... considerate," she pats you some more, "If Flagship... doesn't want me to do this... then I won't."

    You tear up a bit with joy. It's so nice to have people listen to you for once!

    "Let's go back, Wo," you sigh in relief as she stands, "I'll smooth over things with the others. You won't have anything to worry about."

    And so you lead her out of the "secret" observation post, sinking it with your torpedoes as you leave. You'll sort everything out. You have complete confidence in yourself!

    You sneak Wo into the empty dining hall as you return, giving her piles of supplies to down in the hopes of reversing whatever transformation she started to undergo. For that matter, you try to wipe away the lingering taste of that oil with some nice, refined oil from the armory.
    It helps... somewhat. Wo regains a bit more color, but whatever corruption began will take more than that to cleanse.

    The two of you are about halfway through your meal before another Shipgirl walks in looking for a snack. She spots you and heads right over. As she approaches, you recognize her as the CVL Ryuujou. Her flight deck gives it away. No other ship had that kind of prow!

    She stops a few feet away from you, seeming to glare at your... chest? Grumbling something about "Even the American Destroyers..."
    Did... you say something wrong?

    "Everyone is looking for you," she mentions, looking irritated, "You two are in a lot of trouble."

    You guess you are, huh?

    [] Attempt to excuse your behavior, with the hope of buying more time to fix Wo.

    Hmm, I wonder how valuable our superiors would find the intelligence about the "oil" and observation posts to be? The fact that due to our actions we were able to eliminate an Abyssal outpost that was operating right under our nose might actually be grounds for commendation.
