You are adrift in the void. The currents have carried you long and far - so long, and so far, that nothing remains but you and your breathing. Perhaps, in the distance, there is a song - but how can that be, when there is no sound? Basal Ganglia: Does it matter? Nothing matters, here. There is no matter here. Only you, the darkness, and the distant, silent song. The silence is quieter than it has ever been. Basal Ganglia: Rest. We need only rest. We did our part. We are done. Conceptualisation [Trivial: Success]: Our part? Then surely there must be some Thing for it to be a Part of. Basal Ganglia: It is not here. It is gone. Rest. Oh. That's good. It's nice here, and you'd hate for some... thing to ruin it. Time to rest. Just you, the void, and that song in the distance. It's weirdly catchy. Should you hum a couple bars? Basal Ganglia: That is a very, very bad idea. Okay. Yeah, okay, that tracks. So it's just you, the void, and a song that's definitely not catchy. At all. Limbic System: And the gentle motion of the waves. Right, yeah. You, the void, a definitely-not-catchy song, and the gentle motion of the waves. Waves in what? Basal Ganglia: The void. Rest. Nothing here threatens you. You don't think that's how the void works, but who are you, anyway? Some kind of void expert? You suspect you're not a void expert. It's a very nice void, though. Basal Ganglia: It is. Limbic System: The void is getting smaller. There is a pressure, a dull sensation. It is, regrettably, your body. And pain. You have a body, and it is in pain. Limbic System: It is also moving upward. You suspect bodies should not be doing that. Kinaesthetics [Impossible: Failure]: What's an 'upward'? Limbic System: The sudden, floppy impact of your body upon the shore is immediately overshadowed by the taste and texture of the sand in your mouth. Viler than the grainy filth alone is the dull, aching familiarity which accompanies it - this is not the first time your nose and tongue have become intimately acquainted with a sandbar. Limbic System: With luck, it could be the last. But lucky people are not flung headfirst into seabeds. * * * With a groan, your eyes blink open. With a wince, they close again, because the last thing you need is a third sense occupied with the texture of wet sand. At least the reflexive discomfort of sand in your eyes distracts from the more universal, perpetual ache that holds the rest of your body in its firm but clammy grip. You pause, grumble, and take a deep breath. Begrudgingly recalling that your head is still lodged at least half a metre into damp beach sand, you mentally add "redundant lungs?" to a list of things you know about yourself. The list has one item on it, but it had to start somewhere. But lungs aside, what do you really know about yourself? You have four primary Attributes: Intellect, Psyche, Instinct, and Finesse. These determine the starting values and training caps for each corresponding set of six skills - which in turn drive your characterisation. [ ] You're clever. You have a brain, and so help you you're going to use it. 5 Intellect, 4 Finesse, 2 Psyche, 1 Instinct [ ] You're tuned in. You've got a sense for things, even if they don't always make sense at first. 5 Psyche, 4 Instinct, 2 Intellect, 1 Finesse [ ] You're ten kilos of distilled, focused wrath in what's probably an entirely appropriately sized bag. 5 Instinct, 4 Intellect, 2 Finesse, 1 Psyche [ ] You're suave. Debonair, even. The forbidden sequel to debonair, when the light hits you just right. 5 Finesse, 4 Psyche, 2 Instinct, 1 Intellect [ ] Custom: Each Attribute starts at 1. You have 8 points to spend. You do not need to spend all of the points, technically. It's your life. But good luck boosting these later.

You awaken on - and partly in - an abandoned beach. You don't know who you are or what you're meant to be doing, other than a vague sense that someone probably took care of it, and everything's probably fine. The wilderness of Terra isn't the best place to be a confused amnesiac, but thankfully you're also supernaturally durable and strong enough to break rocks with your teeth.

Time to be a hero, or a feral disaster of a fish woman.

So, I am not a great artist but I do some sketching from time to time…
I mean it cannot match up to the beauty kf the original, but I can share a vibe.

So I drew three different takes, I knew I generally wanted to do something with fused arms (the left and right image) and stump for the head.
I also have sketches for growth but have yet to color them.
