[DISCONTINUED] In the Beginning, There Was Man (WH40k x SC)

… If the Emperor says it goes, it goes.

Plus, we don't exactly have to re-introduce him as Horus. We can re-christen him however we want to reflect his status as a Penitent.

It's only IF we can bring him. The effort seems to be costing Ynnead quite a lot.
Point, if we bring him and create him a new body we should try to make it different looking just to make it easier for us.

[X] Rebirth: Ynnead's power flows through your spirit and filters into your mortal coil. You feel your body mending, burning through the power that you have just collected. Though you must still be entombed in The Golden Throne for now, your body will be fully recovered in the future.
[X] Light: A strange reaction happens as you give Ynnead the gift of your burning light. You are unsure what the end result of this is, but it is sure to be spectacular.

Why are you people saying we loose nothing with rebirth? We will lose all of or science. All that advanced knowledge lost.

[X] Bulwark: You empower Ynnead with your aegis, allowing her to shield those who pray to her from the depredations of Chaos and other psychic predators, much like prayer to you does. Prayer also empowers her more than it would otherwise.

Losing Science for rebirth is only temporarly. Think of it as the Emprah being a little child. They won't let him near any tools until he's older.

Taking Khan with us would probably boost morale enormously and probably strengthen everybody's faith in the Emperor even more, seeing how the Emperor does not forget/forsake the faithful ones.

Same for Corax. It would make establishing chain of command much easier too, if we have a couple of hero characters with us.

One thing we ought to remember, Khan wasn't that big on tactics. While Corax was a rather gifted tactician, and a rather Humane one.

Next, the Emperor is but a corpse, but if he is reborn, he will be able to shed his former limits. We will just need time for him to properly recover. But Horus is a rather tricky situation, he was the Emperor's favorite son. While he was also corrupted, it was from the workings of the Word Bearers, not by the Chaos Gods themselves, for the most part.

But the fact remains that we don't know what powers Horus will have, but we must be weary of his soul. If Chaos invested so much into it there will likely be flaws that will arise from it. We don't know if all of the taint will have been purified. Khan was a great fighter, but Corax was a great tactician.

And since 40K considers 18th century battle tactics advanced. We will need a good tactician, unless the Chosen Blood can pull off a little Blood Raven, 'gift giving'.

THE GRAMMAR IT BURNS

That being said, it's a good concept but you'll need to try harder if you want more goodies.

See my above post about Horus. He's not recoverable.

Is there any reason we can't pluck the Primarch's souls right before the portal closes and reincarnate them into a new bodes once the emperor is back up and moving around? I know I plan to make Ynnead a body to interact with the materaium.

edit1: i will try to work on it some more.
edit2: version 2
"On a thousand worlds I and my brothers have fought rescuing warriors and worlds for year after year fighting a war for the survival of man and the materium at large"

"I still remember when I was a young neophyte newly inducted into my chapter how we were told war was all that we would know but we would fight so others may not need to know it"

"We have fought the biological monstrosities of the tyranid swarms there nigh endless numbers seeking only food it's nigh unstoppable hoards consuming the tau empire it only a few hundred years the hive mind grew complacent but it forgot we are the predators not it"

"my first mission as a scout we encountered what would eventually be known as the tyranids we had been instructed by the captain we were assigned to discover the forces that attacked this world 20 of us entered 2 left that hell world"

"we have slain the un dying the soulless machines that the necrontyr have become their gauss weapons deflecting off our armour on every world imaginable from the close quarters combat in an under hive to the doomed world of damnos ironic is it not doomed though we are we still continue to fight"

"when I was a sergeant a veteran of hundreds of years of war I encountered those damned machines for the first time they killed most of my squad including my brother from my time in the scout squads slain saving me from being slain by a necron lord it died 10 seconds later my chain sword severing it down the middle"

"we have fought the brutal orks on a thousand worlds winning desperate battles prolonging the imperium's death as could be seen in the wars for Armageddon where we assisted the space marine chapters in defending the hell hole of a world desperately trying to do our duty trying to hold on to hope for just a few seconds longer"

"when I rose to the rank of chapter master the first action I took was to drive back an ork waaagh that had been plaguing my home sector for nearly 1000 years slaughtering the vile orks to the last as vengeance for the orks warboss killing the previous chapter master our future seemed to be bright"

"We even have fought the corrupt and the damned the corrupt hedonistic dark elder seeking to cause pain to prolong their own life no matter the cost to the materium capturing billions to keep themselves alive for just a few seconds longer disgusting how far any sentient being could fall but we take it as a lesson there must be constant vigilance also the hordes of the great enemy demons of all four main chaos gods , traitors from all worlds of the imperium and all walks of life becoming twisted monsters no longer having the right to be called human, chaos space marines the traitorous bastards that helped damn the universe and anything else under the enemy's command on demon world after demon world in the eye of terror"

"but then the change struck brother after brother succumbing to horrific mutations even I was affected we were offered a choice death by execution or a glorious death fighting the forces of chaos in the eye of terror ... there was no choice when I spoke to my brothers none faltered I have never been more proud as on that day so we left our world our home and went to war in the Emperors name"

"We go now to our final conflict the final desperate battle we will emerge from the flames in to do our final duty we send the 1st ,5th and 7th companies to rescue the great Kahn escort him from the area he is trapped in and deliver him to the exodus fleet to lighten the load on our liege lord the remaining 700 of us go now to support our lord, our emperor, we will proudly speak for the first time in millennia, we are the FLARE FALCONS, we are the legion of the damned, corrupt we may be, we are space marines of the adeptus astartes and we shall know no fear."

"to the final battle in the emperor's name"
please excuse my terible grammer.

I have an idea. How about we grab the souls of what ever ones right before the portal closes and give them to Ynnead for safe keeping. Once the emperor is back up and moving we can make them new bodies.

Personally I'm ambivalent on the "bringing along the Primarchs" thing. While I would prefer to have them, at the very least Khan, because of where he is, one or the other or even both could be useful. As for Horus I say that we just tell him that we understand and allow his soul to finally go to rest, nothing more really needs to be done. Just my thoughts.

It's an interesting concept to use the Legion, but there's not enough description, feeling, or character present. Also you may want to have someone beta it for you since English seems to not be your main language.

Cause most of the Primarchs are either bound to their bodies still in stasis and those unbound cannot reincarnate since they are not naturally Warp entities. They were summoned by Ynnead for the sole purpose of bringing the Emperor closure and to see who is still alive. Ynnead can manifest in the Materium once she gains enough experience in how to manipulate psychic energies to form Materium manifestations.

Edit: I guess you guys can try to convince Leman Russ and Vulkan to come with, but you'll need a REALLY good write-in to do that.

The tenth and eleventh, Alpharius and Omegon, are summoned together. They see each other and then you before breaking down in hysterical laughter. The twin Primarchs are finally reunited in death and their true allegiance to the destruction of Chaos is revealed. Though their legion fell to corruption long ago, they alone are still loyal and fighting to end the threat. Knowing what they must do, they tell you that they will go to the front lines to reinforce Guilliman and the Lion. "What Horus would do, Alpharious and Omegon would undo. The mistakes of the first shall be unraveled by the last, and when the last man falls, so too shall fall Chaos."
As you make your peace with your children, you realize that Ynnead is still not done. She feels your question before you even ask and provides an enigmatic answer:
Hora Hora! What is this? Does the Alpha Legion have one final ace up their sleeve? A final Fuck-You to Chaos?

How about we will need ever primarch we can get our hands on as we are recovering. If life wins the emperor will know he won't be able to interact with the world for a while.

Also I just realized that the D30's haven't popped up yet.

Hrm. I don't know if creating Ynnead a true physical/fleshy form isn't a better idea than merely aiding her in manifesting in the Materium.

Keep in mind, being materialized is a constant drain on Warp Entities.

Anyway, I think that Rebirth is the best thing to do and the current winning choice. I think it'd be funny if we could have The Emperor and Ynnead running around as children while their physical forms mature. Father and Mother of Man and Eldar, playing with the children of their people as equals.

@torrmercury Will we be able to raise Ynnead's science stat or will it be stuck at what ever gift we choose? This is going to affect my decision on the what gift I choose to give her.
Same.

Except I wouldn't be opposed to Ynnead being the Spiritualist to the Emperor's Scientist.
