Deus Pater (Exalted/40k)

The senior Magi aboard have likely met it before, albeit not in manifested form. Like I said, a whole thing.

Given the AdMech worship (leaving aside Void Dragon cults and the like) Emperor-as-Omnissiah but also believe the secrets of the Machine Spirit are ineffable to those not initiated into the Machine Cult, there'd be a lot of interesting theological questions raised by an Ecclesiarchy guy being able to do what Magi can't.

[X] Retribution - You will go to the Admiral on the bridge, and there in his place of power you will demonstrate the folly of his callous disregard. He will be broken, body and will, before you are done, and only then will you reforge him into a true servant of the Emperor.

This is the same result as taking the fleet. Only keeping the command chain intact.

[X] Usurpation - Command the spirit of the ship and take away that which the Admiral believes is his by right. When he humbles himself before you and acknowledges his own transgression, you will consider the possibility of forgiveness.

I suspect it'll probably settle on the conclusion that while the Cardinal doesn't have the secrets of the Machine Spirit (He can't exactly build a grav gun... yet), he has the authority of the Omnissiah.

Which has its own problems because higher mystery knowledge equals authority more or less to them so...

I can't tell if they're screaming in terror or squealing in glee.

Toth's Revenge might also be recognizable to her Navigators and Astropaths, and maybe some of the bridge crew if they have MIUs
Also because the "scion of the God Emperor commanding His war machines" thing is super fucking cool.
I want to see this happen with a Knight or a Titan

I wonder if this quest will follow the Exalted bullshit for learning skills? Put dots in the craft skill and you can learn how to build grav gun well taking a course on knitting.

They might teach him some mysteries just to make things less awkward. Either that or kill him.

Doing so with a warship of the Imperial Navy is in itself more impressive than a Knight or Titan.

Especially when you can make their machine spirit manifest and kneel before you.

I do wonder though. What kind of ship has the MC boarded? Cruiser, grand cruiser or battleship? It's a flagship, but we don't know whether this is just a scout flotilla (which might have destroyers and frigates only) or something heavier.

[X ] Judgement - Life for life, and death for death. Slay the Admiral for his sins, and by the Emperor's own right claim dominion over this fleet. No longer will you tolerate the instruments of the Imperium to operate contrary to your will.

[X] Usurpation - Command the spirit of the ship and take away that which the Admiral believes is his by right. When he humbles himself before you and acknowledges his own transgression, you will consider the possibility of forgiveness.

Judgement, while netting us a cool fleet, is way too much of a bloodbath option. Frankly I think we need to tell the sisters that they better learn to hold their fire unless otherwise directed by us, because if they carry on just randomly shooting surprised Imperial nooks who were doing their jobs (evil jobs to be sure, but the Imperium itself is pretty evil) it kind of flies in the face of our desire to enlighten and reform society and it's citizens.

Retribution will just increase our reputation for mind control. Frankly I'm sure Big E did a fair bit of this back in the day, but he struck me as being someone who would prefer to win people over by example where possible (and where not possible blow them to smithereens). What better validation of the inherent rightness of our cause if the very ship itself agrees with us and refuses to work for it's commander anymore? Also as many people have pointed out this will blow the cogboys socks off.

The symmetry is too perfect, I have to go for it.

Admiral's not gonna take this lying down, but I like this option the most.

@Maugan Ra, I think you should remove the tag of this game. I avoided this game for a long time because I thought "Crossover" meant it would be 40k with Exalted lore and characters and stuff mixed in. Instead I found that it just uses Exalted mechanics, which isn't really what "crossover" is meant to be about.
