Week 3 Downtime
The city was abuzz with the defeat and death of Cancer. HAZMAT teams swarmed the site of the Kaiju's death, using their extensive spray of CO2 to eliminate any chance of Blue doing anything while the Salvager's worked. Soon enough, The materials were processed and funneled into projects across the city. One of the main accomplishments this week was the beefing up of the cities manufacturing capabilities, along with creating a new Tank Squadron to add onto the burgeoning Conventional forces.

Manufacturing level increases to 3.
+1 Type 99 Tank Squadron.

In the research facility, the science teams were hard at work attempting to create an automated scout helicopter, citing that the fewer men that had to go, scout, the more men could do other jobs. However, it seems that they grossly overstepped their capabilities, with little to no progress done in a week's time. From what the council could tell, it wasn't because of bad ideas being thrown around, it was rather because they just didn't know how drones actually worked.

Automated Scout Helicopter Research Failed! All Automated combat unit Research locked until basic drone theory is completed!

Despite the Research head's grumbling, the Council had bigger things to worry about. It was nearing the end of the week, which meant...

Week 4 Combat End
Desperado takes aim at the Monsterous beast, lining the gargantuan cannon up. The pilots take a single breath inwards...

And Pull the trigger.

(11) (2)

The shot slams into the neck, causing it to Rupture, as expected. What was not expected was the gargantuan conflagration that appeared afterward, engulfing the Kaiju.

Flaw: Flame Explosion activates! Takes D10=1 Wounds!

Remarkably, the Kaiju doesn't seem that affected by the explosion. Though, that would most likely be because it is dead. Shame for it.

??? Takes a Major Neck Wound! Takes 9 strikes, +5 Ongoing strikes!

Category II Class Kaiju "Weakling" Defeated!
-------------------------------

Desperado has gotten rather good with killing off Kaiju. Not only did the tanks accomplish exactly nothing, but the Kaiju's neck detonation managed to clear all of the potential Blue Leaks! The scientists looked at its physical capabilities, however, their findings somehow managed to get two-thirds of the research team to throw a lab riot, stemming from the fact of "Bullshit min-max attempts".

Weakling

Category: 2
A Quadruped Creature, this beast has powerful fists and a good hide to attack close and defend. However, it's the main weapon is its liquid fire breath, being capable of melting through steel without danger. However, it was defeated so quickly by Desperado Epsilon that the kaiju received it's ignominious name post-mortem.

Week 4 Downtime
Tampa had once more gone through its now-familiar motions, frantically carrying away all the resources they could use. A good portion of it went straight into finding more survivors from the Tampa Bay area, quickly rounding up some stragglers that clung to underground bunkers. At the sight of Desperado, they wept tears of joy, finding solace in the gargantuan construct.

Population increases to 4! +1 Action Per turn!

The rest of the resources secured went to the research team, who put the glut of supplies they got to good use. The theoretical half churned out ideas, theories, and postulates on how drones actually work. What they came up with was easy to understand, simple to apply, and hopefully cost-effective.

Basic Drone Theory Researched! Now can conduct research on drone-based equipment and units!

The practical applications half of the budding thinktank had a vastly different job. They had to take the Thermite munitions from the Tanks and fit it in a 356 mm Cannon Shell that wouldn't explode upon pulling the trigger. They succeeded. Magnificently. While it wasn't a complex project, to begin with, they not only managed to size it up, they also managed to increase its effects! The only unfortunate point is that it can't really be replicated outside of the Shells for Desperado, due to the increase of power only coming from the amount of Thermite used.

Desperado's attacks now deal 1d3 Burn Damage after the Impact attack!

As the new dawn approaches, the city bunkers down. And not a second too late...
