[X] Grant Jack a Blessing
- [X] Give him a boost in speed (-5 Faith)

You gently blew the yellow spark from your palm towards your chosen. A small glowing golden ember, flickering like candlelight, made its way towards the cyber-legged Cyberpunk and he suddenly felt as if everything was slower as he slowly but gradually sped up. unaware of the faint golden glow that glimmered from his legs. A sight that went unnoticed.
"The fuck-?"
One of the Maelstrom did a double take and before he could react, Jack's baton slammed right into his face, throwing his head back and the sudden shift in momentum called the laws of physics to come in and make this chromed-up gang banger into its bitch. The goon is sent sprawling, momentum carrying his body forwards as he falls backwards and with a loud snap, one of his cyber legs snapped off at the knee, spraying synth-blood all over the ground as he is knocked out cold.
"Shit! He's got a sandy!" The heavy barrel of a rifle spun towards Jack but the cyberpunk reared back and his leg snapped outward and the razor sharp edges of the tip of his cyber legs pierced through the gun the sheer force behind it causing it to fall to pieces in the Maelstromer's hands and before he could even register what had happened, the rabbit-like edgerunner spun and his baton slammed into the side of the disarmed gunman's neck bent with a loud crack and he just crumpled like a puppet with its strings cut.
"Ooh! Bunny's got some bite!" The female Maelstromer, 8-ball. Jack recalled the other Maelstrom Booster calling her, cooed with glee. The sight of a fellow Booster such as herself being taken out with such ease did not phase her in the least.
Jack could swear that if her hands weren't fondling that Carnage in her hands, they'd be clapping with delight. "I can't wait to pop you open like a cherry!"
With another mad cackle, she began to fire wildly in Jack's general direction, pumping out empty shell after empty shell but for the mercenary, it felt like everything was just a tad bit slower than it usually was. Slow enough to be very noticeable but also not too severe to be disorienting but it greatly helped him dodge the incoming spray, leaping from cover to cover trying to lure her aim away from cowering civilians.
"Keep hopping bunny! Keep Hopping, I'll get you eventually!" Her mad bloodlust blinded her to the fact that Jack was rapidly closing the distance, his bladed legs sparking against the pavement.
Jack leaped into the air and spun, eyes locked onto 8-ball as the barrel of her shotgun aimed towards him, and just as her finger pulled the trigger, his outstretched legs swung at her weapon with a loud Shriiiing! A long diagonal cut destroyed her gun, the front half flying off and bouncing off the ground, shattering into pieces.
"You fucker!" Despite the crude language, the elation in her synthesized voice spoke volumes of her true feelings on the fact that he was more troublesome than she had initially expected.
Tossing aside her now useless Carnage, she grabbed at the two grenades strapped to her vest With a cackle, she pulled the pin and dropped one of them at her feet and tossed the other one into the air, uncaring that she was still in the blast zone.
His eyes widened and Jack immediately dropped to the ground, and to an outsider, it looked as if the Edgerunner suddenly broke into a dance, spinning on his hands and back with his legs up in the air, but attentive eyes quickly noticed that his bladed legs used the momentum to sweep up the grenade and catch the other one before they could hit the ground. Then he became a blur of metal legs, a whirlwind of spinning chrome juggling the two grenades with his legs.
"Woooaaah!" 8-ball marveled at the stunt as she backed up, her optics struggling to catch up with the edgerunner's movements and suddenly, Jack stood on his hands and kicked the grenade over her shoulder, landing just between the rest of her gang.
"Of fu-" The ensuing explosion of metal shrapnel and deafening noise turned the small gang of cybernetic anarchists into mulch and sent 8-Ball staggering right into the incoming shin of one of Jack's cyberlegs.
The loud crunch of her optics caving in from the impact threw the Maelstrom girl off her feet, her entire world violently spun round and round until everything came to a crashing halt as the back of her head hit the concrete with a crack and the darkness enveloped her.
Everything fell silent, the remaining civilians in the area peeked out of their hiding spots, some mustering the courage to look up and upon seeing the prone Maelstrom on the ground, reactions were mixed and were all approving. Some breathed out a sigh of relief, others merely scoffed, a few utterances of 'Serves them right…' and similar sayings were shared.
Jack shared the sentiment, he never really liked the gangs of Night City, Maelstrom especially. They were all Cyberpsychos in the making and they actually encouraged it! All that chrome on one person. The mere thought of turning complete 'Borg sent shivers down his spine. It's one thing to need implants and another to get them cause they were pretty preem but to go full 'Borg?
Shaking his head, Jack sent NCPD the details, Maelstrom neutralized. He paused and looked back to where some people were lying down in a pool of blood. Some civilian casualties. Damnit. Within moments, he received a notification that the bounties had been accepted and his e-socket just became a few eddies heavier.
Fucking Maelstom. Fucking Gangs, they were like mutant roaches. You kill one, more take its place and no matter how many times you clear them out of a place, they set up shop once again and with bigger guns. Stuffing his hands into his pockets, the lapine-like Edgerunner turned to make his way home, trying to shake off his negative thoughts and looking forward to getting a drink at a local bar. He's not much of a bigshot to get access to Afterlife but a good drink is a good drink.
You have witnessed your Chosen in action. His heart is in the right place, his desire to protect others burns bright but Night City is a place that will not tolerate people like him for long. You can already sense the flame dying a little, the injustices of the city slowly but surely smothering the light that still tries to burn bright within him.
Then, from the corner of his eye, Jack caught a mysterious golden glow that, after a moment of thinking about it, no one else seemed to notice and against his better judgment, he turned his head ever so slightly to take a look and time just stopped.
For just a moment, he beheld Divinity.
What does he see?
[ ] A glimpse of your Divine Being standing before him, a very direct and upfront showing of yourself to your Chosen.
[ ] The symbol of your faith, the Scales of Justice over a crumbling city. A subtle sign of something coming.
[ ] Something else? (Write in):
