Week 1 - Weekend Action pt. 2
[X] Speed up your time while slowing down everything around you at the same time. Blitz him with a hundred Rabbit Peace strikes!
As Shirou finishes gathering power, you switch on your time powers. Instantly, two glowing clock outlines appear around you with you in the centre – a large silver one that encompasses the ring and the area around it and a smaller one on top of it right beneath you. With a stamp of your foot, you feel the passage of time distort and suddenly all you can hear is a deep low humming in the background as sound and everything else around you slows down to a crawl. Shirou is frozen even as visible crackles of electricity arc around his body.
Right then, time to give another tiger a beatdown. Your right hand instantly makes a peace sign and you charge towards the now defenceless tiger faunus. Sorry kid but you're not gonna pull your punches.
However, as you swing your hand down to deliver the first of many Rabbit Bitchslap Peace Strikes , the unthinkable happens. Warning bells start to ring and you see Shirou leans back, letting your strike pass right over him. Immediately, you pull back and put some distance between you and the teenager. Or at least you try to. A shockingly fast kick shoots towards your side and you barely manage to block it with your arm. The impact sends painful vibrations through your arm but you endure. You look down at your opponent and see him moving as though time was still working as normal. However, the look on his face expresses much confusion and awe.
You don't waste time to knock the faunus back to give yourself some room to breathe. Shirou quickly steadies himself and gives you a perplexed look. He opens his mouth to say something but all you hear is a low deep rumbling.
That coupled with the lightning that seems to be fused with his body and you immediately understand what's going on. He's turned himself into lightning or at least something close to it somehow. If lightning moves at about a third of the speed of light then even under the effects of your time manipulation, he's able to move fast enough to be a threat. You can't hear what he's saying but you can read his lips.
"I didn't know you had time powers? Cool. Let's see how long you can keep it up?" As soon as his mouth stops moving and settles into a grin, he runs towards you, lightning sparking across his body threatening to electrocute you. You aren't having any of that.
Your body is strong and, hastened by your powers, your healing factor will quickly take care of any damage so with that in mind you answer his charge with your own.
What follows is a blisteringly fast exchange of punches, kicks and whatever body part you can slam into each other. He's fast, having somehow also quickened his mental speed along with his body. He's not as fast as real lightning but that just means he's just fast enough to overcome the advantages that your powers should be giving you. Each blow you take is like being hit with a steel girder at high speeds but your own attacks are nothing to sneeze at as well.
Shirou's stronger than you but you're tougher than him. Dozen upon dozen of Rabbit Peace Attacks rains down on the boy while you feel your bones break and heal themselves over and over again. You can't image what the audience at seeing. Are they even capable of following along this lightning fast battle or is the only thing they can see is the trail of lightning that Shirou leaves behind as the two of you dance a dance of violence?
However, despite the stalemate, neither of you can keep this up forever. Your blows are doing damage, even as you feel yourself becoming numb as lightning courses through your body each time you come into contact with Shirou. Likewise, you're quite sure that Shirou is also feeling the pain if the dozens of bunny shaped bruises all over his body were any indicator.
The stalemate finally breaks when Shirou suddenly explodes into a goddamn miniature lightning storm right in your face. You can barely keep yourself from screaming in agonising electrified pain as horrific amount of electricity burns you from the inside out. A loud "Tock" echoes in your head and time returns to normal. You find yourself suddenly flung across the ring and sliding to a stop next to the shields. Smelling like burnt flesh and possible roasted rabbit, you manage to get yourself back onto one knee and look up to see the state of your opponent.
Shirou's lightning has died down and he's bleeding from several wounds all around his body. He wipes the blood dripping over his right eye and gives you a triumphant smirk. Right before he collapses to his knee as well. He's exhausted. That pseudo-lightning form must have taken a lot out of him. With the two of you in the same state, it looks like it could be anyone's win.
What do you do?
[ ] Admit defeat. You've met your match in a tiger faunus that could turn into pseudo-lightning. Against someone who could move like lightning, you were at a disadvantage. However, it was a fight between men and there are few things that are better than that. Stand tall with pride for you have lost to a worthy foe. Plus you're tired and you've got other stuff to do today.
[ ] Go for one last attack. You aren't done yet! You've still got enough juice in you for one final finishing move. It's all or nothing! Use up what strength remains and show him what a cornered rabbit with power of gravity and the earth can do.
[ ] Get back to feet. Using your powers is too risky in your immediate state. From what you've seen and extrapolated, Shirou is the kind of guy who'd wait for his opponent to get back onto his feet. You'll get a little more time to heal, a sliver of strength back and the chance to finish this like manly fight should end, with one last punch.
[ ] Draw him in close and play dead and when he thinks he'd won, sucker punch him. Not the most honourable tactic but in the Fighting Arena, anything goes. Plus it's not playing dirty, it's performing a feint, you think. You blame the pain for messing with your moral compass.
