Crimson Festival [F/SN]

Currently musing on a old character concept I had originally thought up of with you a long time ago.

But not sure if I can really make her more interesting, may pass if I don't think I can put together something interesting.

Give it your best shot and we'll see what happens!

I've made an IRC now, #CrimsonFestival on Mibbit, though I might run off a little. I should be there for sure in the evening (in five hours or so), but I'll try to hang around as much as possible from now on.

Yuu Satonaka - Character Sheet
Think I'll just copy over my character sheet in progress...

Satonaka Yuu
Gender:Male
Age:16
Nationality: Japanese.
First Motivation: To Truly Excel

What Yuu wants, is to be great at something. To be amazing, accomplish the impossible, and go beyond his mundane life. And he acknowledges that this will take some hard work. Whether he acknowledges the meaning behind hard work is something up for debate, although he may claim that nothing's truly caught his eye. And who knows, perhaps in the days to come he shall discover a new talent?

Second Motivation: To Not Be Forgotten

Ten years ago, a great fire swept over Fuyuki City. It claimed many lives, including one very close to Yuu. And although time has healed lessened the wound, memories still fall through the crevice it spawned in people's hearts. Yuu remembers the crowds of mourners that used to frequent the memorial monument, the many grieving people who used to come there everyday. But slowly, the throngs of people grow thinner and thinner, until only a few like himself still visited the stone. If even the victims of a horrible tragedy can be forgotten, what does that say about a forgettable person like himself? These days, he can barely remember that warm smile from his youth. Will that lovely smile be gone forever, once he has forgotten it? And what shall happen to him after his own death? How long shall the memory of 'Satonaka Yuu', until everything that he was fades from the world?

Abilities:
(Supernatural Power) Inari Kitsune Heritage-3
(Specialty) Archery-1
(Specialty) Student-1

Unique Skills:
Hi-Ougi-3

Innocence: Five

Complications:
Sealed Heritage-2

Boons (if any):

Curses (if any):

Truths: (N/A)

An ordinary and unremarkable individual, what Yuu wants is to really excel at something. To step beyond acceptable and good into great and amazing. To stand out in the crowd and be recognized. Such a thing requires personal sacrifice and great will though, and he has yet to muster such strength.

A freshman member of the Archery club, he's a step above the average there, but only a little one. The senior members are all far more skilled than him.

In terms of appearance, he is unremarkable. Not handsome, but not ugly. Neither tall nor short, although he is quite slender. With plain brown hair and plain brown eyes, he more fits the image an NPC than a protagonist.

Oh my it's happening again. Please do not fight too much :p

Haven't had time to work on crunch yet, but I'm thinking of a character whose motivation is freedom: she wants to escape from her life, her destiny. Except, of course, that what she's trying to run away from is her self.

In that light, I'll probably go with someone who's from a well-established lineage and basically bears the burdens of very high expectations.

Oho. I can see stuff with that. Link it to the Grail with a neat thing and we'll have something. Don't worry too much about crunch, I want the idea more than I want the numbers.

I can see a few different ways you can do it too. Aside from all the Magi, there are also demon-blooded families, Church-affiliated families, demon hunter families and the like. Or perhaps just someone from ordinary society that happens to have a "lucky" package.

When does it start?

I might be tempted to participate, even if F/SN is not my favourite franchise.

Optimistically? In about a week.

Realistically? Two to three weeks.

And I'd be glad to have you! Also, fortunately enough, by the end of the chargen process, it'll barely look like F/SN at all! :D

One day, Luvia came to an epiphany.

Even after her inevitable victory over Tohsaka, another rival will come.

No matter how great she became, somebody will always exist to rival her.

SO she just has to remove every other possible rival.

That's the only way she can become the greatest - become an Empress, after all.

Oh. I can work with that.

Oh yes, I can definitely work with that.

I would suggest you read - or reread - the OP and all of my posts carefully, and then consider how to convince me that I want you to play Ayako.

This seems like a joke, but just to be perfectly clear, something like this wouldn't fly as concept. This isn't Carnival Phantasm, much though I like CP, and I expect a certain level of seriousness. Humour is by no means disallowed, but "zaniness" isn't going to be accepted.

Run the characters as "real" people, inasmuch as you can.

It's a joke, yeah. Mostly because that would be hilarious and genocidal. I'm still working out an actual interesting character plot.

And yet, purity of heart shall not save you from the War. What value does Innocence hold, in a Moonlit World of monsters and devils?
You'll take those words back when Yukika's smile warms the hearts of every single member of the Moonlit World Usandru. You'll fall to your knees and repent for doubting her smile.

GENERAL NOTICE:
To ensure that things move along, I want to see basic concepts by all interested players around Sunday the third of august (that is, the 3rd of next month) at noon (12:00) GMT+1

After this point I will no longer be accepting new applications and will focus on picking out players based on the submissions already accepted.

Should the incredible happen and I get a full list of concepts I like before then, I may move up this timetable. If you have not yet expressed interest, you should probably do so to ensure that I'll consider how many people are working on getting something up in case I consider moving up the timetable.

People that are already working on concepts or have mostly gotten their concepts done, please get me the three Truths. I need all of them from the accepted players to generate the AU and find out how that completely destroys every vestige of canon.

Wait, wait wait.

TRUTHS
Your spirit, no matter how weak or how powerful, whispers Truths to you. You are granted three Truths, much like those you might request as Boons, no matter what else you request, no matter what else you may be.

Three Truths.

Let them light your way.

Is this three free Truths?
