The map seems likely to be useful!

That said, Kyoko and probably-Kyuubi's reactions to Joseph threatening him (or otherwise demonstrating knowledge of Kyuubi's presence) could be amusing.

Hermit Purple needs a medium to see stuff; it can create maps, be used to see distant objects, aaaaand I think but don't quote me on that, read thoughts.

For all that stuff it needs a medium; almost everything seems to work, but some thing work better than other. Joseph is - or at least, was - perfectly capable of using Hermit to draw a map of his immediate surroundings in Stardust Crusaders by using dust on the ground, but something like finding and seeing DIO or scanning his own brain required a TV.

Or, at least, that's what I remember. Tbh, JoJo stuff is kind of vague in my head.

Neat. But aren't Barriers weird dream-spaces that don't necessarily obey normal space rules? We did reach Kyouko by moving through a too-tiny passage. Can Hermit Purple handle that stuff? And Kyouko said there isn't an exit, which we know is true because the Barrier won't collapse until the Witch is dead, how would Purple handle that?

I'm not arguing against it since it's in-character for Joseph to try, I'm just curious how people think it will turn out.

I dunno.:V

Pure speculation: If there is an exist, Hermit probably could find it. Depending on complexity of the terrain, candy might not cut it because drawing complex stuff requires a better medium than that, preferably a TV or a camera.

If there is none, it probably would do absolutely nothing. Or show the pathway to the witch, since killing her is an exit, too.

I just don't remember there being more than one type of familiar inside a barrier. That could just be me having bad recall, though, as it's been years since I've watched PMMM.

Maybe. Not sure everything around us would still look sweets themed, though, unless there's yet another candy and pastry themed witch.

Making a map is getting more information. We don't need to know what's going on here to visit our daughter. and there's no way they won't be interested in random old dude using what looks like magic

Kyubey's been here for thousands of years at minimum. They probably are atleast aware of Joseph and the whole incident with Kars, as well as with Dio. And really, you want us just interacting with Kyubey? The thing that will royally fuck us over if given the chance?
