Command: Modern Air & Naval Operations: Let's Play and Expansions

Since this seems to be the default Command: MANO thread now, I'd like to ask...

Can a user make a scenario so that a unit or vehicle has - for example - some insanely good air performance and horrifically accurate missiles and cannons; or maybe a VTOL with shipwrecking DEW?

I'm almost ashamed to ask in such a well-grounded game, but for those wondering, I'm thinking those might be good stand-ins for when I pit, let's say, the USAF 27th Fighter Squadron against Moebius 1; or if I wanted to send a Gundam with a beam rifle to wreck the Turkish armed forces.

There is no database editing in the game, articulated here.

What you can do is (since I've entertained stupidly anachronistic weirdness myself):
-Use extra-powerful existing units, especially hypothetical ones. The CG 21 for a warship, F-24 NATF (F-14 meets F-22), and of course the A-12.
-Assign them extra-high proficiency ratings, either "Veteran" or "Ace".

This whole thread is golden.

I'd love to get a copy of this myself but now I'm afraid of what might happen when I start playing. It's like the naval version of that 4chan thread series, Planes and Mercs.

I believe that was an Exocet, but yeah, it's pretty hard to top.

...blowing up whales looking for enemy ships has gotta come close for hilarious outcomes this game's organically supplied, though.

Or blowing up a Russian sub with a door-mounted pop gun (granted, it was a minigun, but a small-caliber one meant to kill infantry, not ships).
