[X] Kick back and observe.
-[x] Unless he somehow looks like he needs help.
-[x] However do inform him if he is in a very dangerous situation (like he could be killed kind of situation) you could help him out despite your diminutive size, but do not elaborate, just say you can use magic.
Leon should have this handled. Besides, it'll be interesting to see how he fights.
The Half Elf rushes in and you hold on tight to his shoulder and neck. He swings his mace, but the Dungeon Lizard easily blocks with its shield, lashing out with its club. Leon also blocks with his kiteshield, then jumps back to put some distance between himself and his enemy. Immediately he begins a mighty, wide swing, catching the Dungeon Lizard off guard and smacking his mace right into its face, the spikes shredding some of its flesh. The beast staggers back and Leon raises his kiteshield for any possible counterattack. The Dungeon Lizard swings its tail to try and trip the Half-Elf up, but he jumps back just in time. Still, while recovering from his landing, the Dungeon Lizard swings its club downward in an overhead arc, which Leon again blocks with his kiteshield. He raises his mace, but instead of attacking with it, he points it at the Lizardman's face as they lock shield and club.
"Power of the godly heavens!" he chants, the tip of his weapon beginning to shine in a golden light. "Strike my enemy with thy purifying might! Smite!"
A bolt of light fires point blank from Leon's mace, striking the Dungeon Lizard right in the face and sending it staggering back, dropping its club and shield and covering its eyes. Most of the skin on its face has been seared right off, and the beast looks utterly blinded, though you're not sure whether it's from damage or the bright light.
With a running start, Leon jumps and brings his mace down on the Dungeon Lizard's head. You hear a distinct CRACK and watch the Monster fall limp to the ground. The Half-Elf wastes no time retrieving a Supporter's dagger from his belt and prying the Magic Stone out of the beast, which crumbles to dust soon afterwards.
"Are you okay, Miss Ringabelle?" he asks as he pockets the Magic Stone.
You nod. Wow. Leon's pretty good. But then again, he
is Level 2.
-o-
Aside from a few more Monsters along the way, you reach the entrance to the Dungeon without major incident.
"I would appreciate it if you'd direct me to your familia's base, Miss Ringabelle. I'm afraid I've never been there," he requests.
You nod and begin pointing and giving Leon directions, walking through the dark streets of Orario. When you reach the Underworld Dormitory, it's just barely starting to brighten, and you can bet that Hades, Urist, and Jersey are at least up. Leon stops just outside, noticing the attached stable.
"Whose horse is that?" he asks.
"Oh, that's Maplehoof. She belongs to Runemeyer, one of our Adventurers," you explain.
"She's beautiful. Real quality mare. Strong build, healthy coat. I can tell Runemeyer really takes care of her. Does he use her for travel?"
"No, actually. He takes her into the Dungeon as his mount. She even has her own Falna."
Leon grabs his chin. "Fascinating."
Rather than to the door, the Half-Elf walks up to the window and knocks. The window is between the entrance and stable. It leads to the kitchen and is the only window that's lit up. Soon Urist opens the window, looking up at Leon while wearing a slightly overlarge blue apron, the front pulled up over his beard. "Yes?"
"Hello. My name is Leon Elekor. I've come to return one of your Adventurers," he says, and you wave from the Half-Elf's shoulder.
Urist turns, his eyes fixed on you for
slightly too long to be comfortable. And then a bit longer. "You are smol," he says at length. "This is new."
"Yeah... I got hit by some spores from an odd golden mushroom," you explain.
Urist's eyebrows vanish into his hairline. "Golden mushroom. Must be allergic. Cousin Udar is same way. Makes breeding a challenge, but he is dedicated artisan. Have nap, will wear off by mid-morning."
Sleep... That'll be a challenge.
"Well, I'm sure the Hades Familia has you covered from here," Leon says, holding his arm out so that you can climb down it to Urist.
Hm... Should you... invite Leon in for breakfast? It'd be a nice way to say thank you, and you can hear and smell Hades and Jersey cooking it from behind Urist.
