Prologue: Chapter 42
"We're going to go east, through the Land of Shadows. Then we'll take a boat, following to coast until we reach the Land of Wind."

"Huh? I...didn't expect that at all," Dosu admitted. "I suppose it would be much safer..."

"And hiking through mountains and marshes is a fool's errand. Let's go already," you said, turning eastward and beginning to move. To pass the time, you asked Dosu if he knew anything about the Land of Shadows.

"Well, it's known for being the only country that has two shinobi villages, the Hot Springs and the Moon. Of course, the Hot Springs is more of a resort than anything, so really the Moon is the major faction there," Dosu explained. "Otherwise, that's about all I know."

"Hmph, very well."

"Also, the Hot Springs is known for all the hot chicks!" Azasuke suddenly said, appearing between you and Dosu. Both of you yelped in surprise while Azasuke gave you a smug grin. "We gonna take a rest there, yeah?"

"How the hell do you keep doing that?!" you growled.

"Oh, I'm just kinda quick on my feet. So anyway, you're the big bad leader here, we gonna stop at the Hot Springs?" Azasuke repeated.

"Why would I do anything like that?!" you snapped.

"Booooooooo, buzzkill!" Azasuke whined before vanishing in a puff of smoke. You clenched your fists but otherwise kept your temper in check. It was much too early for you to be frothing at the mouth in rage.

---

Travelling the Land of Sound was quite the easy job, as it was mostly plains and hills, dotted with many farms for rice. Eventually you reached the border of the Land of Sound, going into the Land of Shadows. There were a few large buildings built around, most likely forts for when war was happening, but they all looked empty. Soon it was turning dusk, and Dosu mentioned it would be a good time to find a campsite.

You agreed and found a secluded spot at the edge of a forest. You quickly started a fire as Dosu pulled out some food. As he was preparing dinner, he turned his head and asked, "So, you sure about not going to the Hot Springs?"

"Why would I go there? I have no use for a resort," you bluntly answered.

"Because despite it being mostly a resort now, it's still a shinobi village. Perhaps we could find information for Lord Orochimaru. Also, I'd be lying if I said I'm not interested in getting a bit pampered..."

You grunted in annoyance and crossed your arms, closing your eyes and thinking deeply. Should you take a detour to the Hot Springs? You have no idea what could be there, perhaps maybe even a way to help weaken your seal? But...it could also be a massive time waster.

Well?

[] Continue with your mission. You have absolutely no interest in going to some resort!

Sidequest accepted.

Prologue: Chapter 43
"Fine, we'll go. If only because I want to...research something," you said.

"Ah, you mean spying on some hot chicks, right?" Azasuke suddenly said, appearing next to you. You yelped and threw out a punch, but he casually leaned backwards and dodged it.

"Stop doing that!" you roared. "And no! It's for...something else."

"Ah, yes, you're a chick. Spying on big beefy dudes then!" Azasuke chuckled.

"You are making me regret my choice, you trash!" you snarled, but Azasuke laughed it off.

"So, I'll go on ahead then, I'll make sure everything is nice and set up for us! See ya later!" Azasuke said before running off. You groaned as a headache began to form. Dosu began to speak, but you cut him off with an angry glare and instead laid down, closing your eyes and trying to go to sleep.

"I...suppose I'll keep watch for the night then," Dosu sighed.

---

When you awoke in the morning, your headache hadn't faded and it made you even more irritable than usual. Dosu seemed to sense this and kept a fair distance away from you at all times. You still were going to the Hot Springs however. Thankfully, finding the supposed hidden village was actually rather easy since there were multiple signs and billboards advertising directions to the village. After a few hours, you reached the entrance to the Hot Springs, where there was a long line of people trying to enter the village.

"Seems like we might have to wait awhile to get in..." Dosu muttered.

"I refuse!" you stated, about to scare off all the people with a burst of killing intent, but suddenly Azasuke appeared in front of you, wearing a pink kimono that had flower patterns all over it.

"Yo, calm down! It's fine, I got us tickets, told ya I'd take care of it!" Azasuke said, pulling out stubs of paper. Your headache worsened, but said nothing as you snatched the tickets out of Azasuke's hand, giving one to Dosu. Azasuke led you to a side entrance, which was apparently where those who were already in the village could freely go in and out. From what you could see, the Hot Springs was a very lively place, with humans of all ages and diversities buzzing around like the insects they were.

Every building seemed to be a shop or business of some sort, with many merchant stalls built along the busy streets. Azasuke gave you directions to the inn you'd be staying the night at and once again vanished from view. However, there was...something that you could sense. You didn't know what, but you could vaguely feel it underneath your feet, like some sort of energy...

"So...what shall we do?" Dosu asked.

Well?

Better to scope out the village a little before investigating the strange energy. It would be especially great if we had something to hide the veins from our byakugan, like a tourist mask if our glasses don't already do so.

Prologue: Chapter 44
"We shall eat. Perhaps this headache will go away once I am full," you said, walking away to find a place to eat. Dosu nodded and followed you. Eventually you two found a place that specialized in meat of all sorts and you managed to intimidate the people in line ahead of you to get in quickly. You were led to a seat near the corner of the restaurant and were handed menus.

"So...I have been curious about something," Dosu began, looking at you. You gave him a glare, but he continued, "If it isn't too much to ask, how did you end up in the Sound?"

"Why do you care?"you snapped back.

"As I said, just curious. You basically dropped in and made large waves in the Sound. Not everyone gets personal training with Lord Orochimaru...not to mention he saw fit to sacrifice Kin and Zaku for your growth..." Dosu trailed off, his voice going low.

"Who?" you asked with sincere confusion.

"...My teammates that you killed," Dosu bluntly answered, glaring at you.

"Oh, them," you muttered, a vague and hazy image of Dosu's team forming in your mind. "How about you tell me first?"

"About me? Sounds like you're trying to deflect the question. If you didn't want to answer-"

"It wasn't a question, it was an order!" you snarled, releasing a blast of killing intent that everyone in the restaurant could feel. Some people screamed and ran out while others were frozen in place, with Dosu shuddering heavily.

"Fine. It's not much of a story. When I was born my parents gave me to Lord Orochimaru for a sum of money. It's all I know," Dosu sighed. He then looked at you expectantly...

What will you do?

[] Tell Dosu some fake story to appease him, no need for him to know about your true origins.

[] Tell Dosu the truth, but if he tells anyone, you're going to tear out his tongue!

[] Tell Dosu to drop the question, unless he wants a new scar on him!

[] Unleash a blast of killing intent to shut Dosu up.

[x] Be cryptic tell Dosu you hold a great power however it has been sealed within you ,and that is the reason for Orochimaru's training trying to tap into that power. Anymore info on it he'll learn in time as we see fit to tell him.

this way we can get him on the same page with finding someone to weaken our seal at least

"I'm the main character of a Quest"

Prologue: Chapter 45
"Tch...I hold...a great power within me," you began. "However, it's been sealed away, so I came to Orochimaru to try to tap into that power."

"I see...is that it?" Dosu asked.

"If I deem you important enough, then I will tell you more," you muttered.

"...I suppose that's fair," Dosu shrugged.

+1 Man

Eventually you and Dosu got your food and after a large meal, you felt a lot better. Your headache had faded, but you could still feel the odd, faint disturbance in the air. You pushed it out of your head for now as you and Dosu left the restaurant, but you were instantly waylaid by thin man with long gray hair. He had two sheathed swords at his side and his left eye was closed and had a scar across it.

"Excuse me, are you the one terrorizing the public?" the man calmly asked.

"What do you mean?" you asked, glaring at the man.

"Someone made a report that a girl around your age has been scaring people in the restaurant. As the chief of police in the Hot Springs, I take anyone disturbing our resorts very seriously," the man politely, if firmly, said. You felt a disturbance coming from the man, as if he held the same energy that you felt earlier...

"Excuse us, sir. We didn't mean to disturb anyone," Dosu apologized.

"That doesn't really fix what happened. You two need to come with me," the man ordered.

"And why should we do what you say?" you growled.

"Because if you resist, I'll imprison you," the man stated.

"Hinata, let's just go with him for now. We can't compromise the mission..." Dosu whispered into your ear. As much as you hated to admit it, Dosu was right. You scoffed, but offered no more resistance and followed the man. Eventually you reached a building that had a sign telling you it was the police department. You entered the building and went down a few hallways until you reached a corridor full of large, metal doors and chairs that have been bolted to the ground.

The man quickly placed handcuffs on Dosu and chained him to the chair and almost pushed you into the steel-gray room. All there was in the room was a metal table and a pair of uncomfortable looking chairs. Clearly this was some sort of interrogation room. You took a seat and the man took one across from you.

"Seems overzealous to go through this for a minor disturbance," you pointed out, weary of the man.

"I have my reasons. I am Rikuto Tsukuda and I know you're a Jinchuriki," the man said.

"What?! How do you know?!" you shouted, slamming your fists on the metal table. You were worried that Dosu might've heard the Rikuto, but he put up his hand.

"Peace. I put us in this room because it is soundproof, no one will hear our conversation," Rikuto explained. That calmed you down slightly, but you were still on edge.

"Do you know who I am then?" you muttered.

"No. I just know you are a Jinchuriki. As for how I know you are one...well, I'm sure you felt it in the air ever since you entered the village. Demons can sense each other..." Rikuto ominously said.

"...Are you a Jinchuriki?"

"Me? Not at all," Rikuto answered with an unsettling smile. "Trust me, I am just as surprised to meet another demonic presence here. Who knew a simple disturbance call could be a meeting of fate? If you're curious, I can show you the demon that dwells in this city...with your friend too, if you wish."

Well?
