We've got Elecmon with us and a whole bunch of Baby Digimon in hiding. I'm for either trying to get away quietly or staying put in hopes that they don't notice us.

I was hoping that someone would have an idea, but since no one else has posted for nearly 9 hours, I'll just vote.

[X] Just stay put and hope that they go away.

Movement tends to catch the eye so I'm hoping that staying still will keep us from being noticed. Also, we might overhear useful information.

[X] Just stay put and hope that they go away.

They are taking our mushrooms! But still, this seems to be the most sensible approach.

All right, let's just hope they leave before they find you.

At the very least, you have the advantage that they're not specifically searching for you. They just... might wander across you in their search for food.

There Really Was No Saving You...
As the voices continue to argue, you slowly press yourself down to the ground, not willing to try moving out of fear that you'll be too loud, but not sure what else you can do. Whoever the arguing Digimon are, they're very clearly working for Puppetmon at the moment, and you're sure he'd be thrilled to officially know the location of two of the DigiDestined.

Biyomon, seeing your halfhearted attempt at giving yourself a bit of stealth, lands on the forest floor next to you, which is at least a bit less noticeable than flying pink bird. Every little bit counts, right?
(Sora's Stealth roll: 45+18=63)
Elecmon follows your examples, clearly by far the most tense person here. You sit, and you wait, and you listen to the sounds of quarreling Digimon.

"Remember when there used to be actual life to these forests?" One of them asks. "Think it'll come back once Lord Puppetmon's bored?"

"Can't be that much. Without a Primary Village, everyone will just stay dead," The second voice points out. "...Huh. You know, we're actually pretty close to where one used to be, I think. I mean, I recognize the forests."

"Huh. Any good mushrooms."

The voices continue to near your location. "If it's the same as when I lived on File Island... there should be a good clump in this direction."
(Enemy Digimon's search roll: 84.)
The sound of footsteps gets closer, and closer, and before you know it, you can hear the snapping of twigs, the rustling of leaves, all of it heading straight in your direction.

Another bit of rustling, and suddenly there's a pair of purple mushroom caps staring down at the three of you.

This is, obviously, not ideal.

[ ] Biyomon, attack!

[ ] Run away as fast as you can!

[ ] Try and convince the Digimon to leave you alone.
-[ ] By pointing out how powerful you are.
-[ ] With mushrooms as bribes.
-[ ] ...DigiDestined? What's that?

[X] Biyomon, attack!

This is just buying time because Piedmon will have to figure out where his minions disappeared. Though maybe he won't care about the disappearance of two of his minions?

All right, let's attack.

Those poor Mushroomon would claim to have done nothing to deserve this. Whether or not you believe them is up to you.

Mushroomon
For a moment, everything is still. The two unfamiliar Digimon stare down at you, Biyomon, and Elecmon. Your gaze meets theirs. You should probably do something about this, but what?

"Biyomon, do something!" You hiss at your partner, knowing full well that the pair of presumably-Rookies is probably able to hear you from such a short distance, but unwilling to risk attracting the attention of anyone else that might be making their home in this forest.

"Got it!" Biyomon's definition of doing something, apparently, involves spirals of green fire directly in the face of the Digimon that have found you, which isn't a particularly subtle method of attack, what with also acting as a light source, but you guess you don't exactly have much of a choice.

The Digimon that gets hit scrambles back and prepares an attack of his own. The other one, apparently deciding that questions are unnecessary here, punches Elecmon.

Elecmon shocks him.

The Digimon currently being... occupied... you slowly back away, searching around for if you can see any more mushrooms. As entertaining as it is to think of planting the two you see here, you're well aware it doesn't work that way, and there's really no such thing as too much food in the Digital World.

There are no mushrooms within convenient line of sight. You'd sort of expected that, but it hadn't stopped part of you from hoping that something had changed in the past thirty seconds.

As it is, you have to pay attention to the fact that the pair of Digimon you're with are having a surprisingly even match with a pair of mushrooms. So at least you're even more certain that the ones who found you are Rookies.

The good news is, this means that Puppetmon probably won't miss them.

Assuming that you win, because this is, in fact, an even fight, and you're mildly worried about the possibility of them getting away. Just a little. You've gone as far as attacking them, why not... just push forward?

After all, if there was a single chance of them not mentioning you to Puppetmon before... it's gone now.

[ ] Trying to bring out Birdramon in a place this small is a bad idea, but you're doing it anyway.

[ ] ...It'll be fine. It won't be that long before one of the mushrooms can't fight anymore.

[ ] ...You're going to punch a Digimon.

[X] ...You're going to punch a Digimon.

Digisoul: Charge!

[] ...You're going to punch a Digimon.
but, well, Sora has 49 HP and if I understand the mechanics correctly a typical Rookie's attack could OHKO and/or kill her. Besides, our Fistfighting skill of 2 is laughable.

@SeekerofDreams, you wouldn't happen to allow Sora to use her Stealth skill for a surprise attack, would you?

For now:

A Small Fight
It's a simple fact of life that, against most Digimon, humans can't do much. That's why you have your partners, to make sure that you're protected as you travel through this world. Or maybe you're only here so that your partners can get the power they need to save the world for you. You were never really clear on that part.

Either way, it remains clear that, against most Digimon, you don't stand a chance.

Most Digimon. Because Champions make up the majority of the Digital World, and they're sturdy enough they could probably shake off getting hit with a small car.

The two Digimon in front of you, though? Rookies. Not necessarily easy prey, but... workable prey.

What you're trying to get at here, is that you think you might be able to do something by punching them in the face. You stand up, walk over to the mushroom brawling with Elecmon, and punch it.

The mushroom glares at you. "Hey, stay out of my-" Elecmon leaps at him, covered in electricity, and bowls him over into the bushes. You guess that, all else failing, it at least works as a reasonable distraction.

Sure, it's... really not how you wanted to be able to contribute to a battle, but it's still something. You can work with this, at least up to a point.

After all, you don't think you'd get such good results if you were just to walk up and punch Puppetmon.

Biyomon manages to hit her opponent's foot with a spiral of fire, sending him tumbling to the ground just in time to get pecked repeatedly. It's not something you see happen often- your partner has always preferred her fire- but there's probably something to be said for not burning down the entire forest over a couple of mushrooms.

...It comes to mind that, with the levels of power here- or complete lack thereof- odds are the mushrooms are going to be incapacitated long before reaching the point where they would die.

And if they do die, well... without a Primary Village, there's little chance of them coming back.

You don't think you've ever really had to consider this sort of thing before.

[ ] You should take them prisoner. If they're here to gather mushrooms, they can't complain about having to eat them all the time, even if it does put a strain on the food supply.

[ ] You should leave them here. Whether they live or die... it shouldn't have to be your problem.

[ ] Killing them would be the safest option... as much as you hate to admit it.

Huh, this is a hard one. Leaving them here would be counterproductive because the whole reason we attacked them was so that they wouldn't tell Puppetmon about us. Taking them prisoner strains the food supply, and I'm assuming that we'd be leaving them with Elecmon and the BABY Digimon. Killing them when we could take them prisoner instead feels like it would hurt Sora somehow.

I think it's been mentioned that Puppetmon's castle is a day away. If we could be sure that we'd win against Puppetmon, then I'd vote for taking them prisoner. As of now, I'm leaning towards killing them, but I want to see what others think first.
