Yeah, like, as a QM you want to take a good-faith interpretation of votes, but, again, and I can't stress this enough, we just had that establishing character scene of how Vulkan != the XVIIIth Legion.

It wouldn't be useless! Vulkan and his personal adventuring buddies would be pretty handy for dealing with Konrad himself, and he can act as a witness to our story! If for some unfathomable reason somebody decided to actually kick up a fuss over The Flaying Pits Guy getting shanked, Vulkan's corroborating testimony would be handy! But if you want the Salamnders on board, you have to ask them, not Vulkan.

Angron: "Hey Salamander council, would you like to kill Kon..."

Salamander Council: "I thought you'd never ask!"

I concur. Tf? Why would Malcador even agree? For future blackmail? Flimsy.

Malcador has lots of reasons to agree. Konrad Curze is a liability that needs to be disposed of, he'll get to gather more information on Angron and Corax, and best-case scenario he can arrange things so that one or both of our Legions take serious casualties while destroying the Night Lords.

God, ok, this tally is a mess.

It looks like we have... 103 votes, "Yes" wins overwhelmingly, but no specific sub-vote manages to even breach the 50% threshold.

I... might just do a mini-update of sorts and focus specifically on "Yes or No" to the more popular or intriguing options.

Ok looks like we are going to talk the guy who all the primarchs hate, and is Emperor lite. Yes he is the person to talk to about murdering someone and get around it. So if he agrees this will interesting, if he disagrees that will be even more interesting.

Now to see how badly we shanked Horus' pride. Not that I disagree with going to Mal, but Horus just had a whole thing with secrets. And we're about to have a very violent stabbing of his brother.
wait what. why are we trying to be the guy who wants to purge us in on a purge of a guy that is way lower on his priority list?
Wildcard.

Because it's hilarious, clearly.

Also perhaps something something trying to rejigger his purge list? I'm moreso interested in Malcador just because we never see anything of the guy in pretty much any 40k media.

Perhaps you might also want to give us what Corax thinks of the options on the table of how to proceed?

Approaching Horus
- Going behind his back on this has repercussions. What are Corax assessments of this? What about Aggron, who is troubled by doing so, given his friendship with Horus?

Approaching Malcador
- Both Aggron and Corax know he has contingencies for every legion going rogue. Is he the best bet to ensure the Nightlords are thoroughly purged without question?

Bringing in Vulkan/Jhagatai/Guilliman etc....?
- Two Legions alone might not be enough to ensure the job is truly done, and the sense of justice of some of the Primachs might well bring them on board.

How to make sure the destruction of Nostramo is known by all so that we aren't blamed for it?
- Aggron cannot rule out the possibility that they could be framed in the process of the purge for Conrad's crimes.

Ah, well in that case "yes with no frills" would seem to be the natural result to do?

I don't think yes with no Frills commanded an over 50% majority either, so no dice here. There are very justified concerns and options laid out on the table, and I suspect even Corax would not want Yes with no Frills. Because there's every chance Yes with no Frills means some Nightlords escape the net.

So, uh, I suppose we get a chance to specifically and unambiguously decide if we want to commit suicide by Sigilite, yeah? 🤣

I guess this is the part where the metaphorical player is asked "Are you sure?" by the GM.

I wonder how viable a decapitation strike would be? If we can kill Kurze the rest of the legion will continue to be Night Lords without any fig leaf of cover or reason for their actions.

Wouldn't approaching Horus make far more sense than Malcador? I feel as if we could convince him to at least back up our efforts even if he doesn't join in directly. The warmaster sanctioning our actions would certainly help with any repercussions

And Vulkan would almost certainly help as well

At this point probably? Or, at least, you'd have enough of a core that they'd split off and be reavers that would need to be hunted down. Presumably most of the ones that would have objected to this sort of thing are floating in space above nostromo, and even if they were still around you'd probably see the legion schism.
