Brave New Frontier

I know we originally wanted to keep Mars but after this fight which while successful did show that continuing to fight this ground war just isn't worth it. Even with it getting destroyed from the orbital bombardment it should still benefit us in resources, after all, an planets worth of stuff is still a planets worth of stuff even if its just a bunch of floating rocks instead of being a actual planet.

[X] Begin full-scale bombardment, crack open Mars and shred them. (Your fleet, solar laser and many asteroids will be put to use in brutalizing Mars and its inhabitants.)

For the actual plan however? I don't know, expand orbital industry and naval abilities?

[X] Continue the ground war. (Your turn actions should include some method to engage in greater warfare, as one thousand ground troops will not suffice at all.)
I'm already developing a plan to increase the Navy and increasing Martian military markets. It is always good to be on the business side of the forever war and getting drones and PMCs to Mars will make shareholders happy. If we care about security then maybe forming a secret police to clamp down on traitorous ideas can be a given.

I don't think it's worth the bombing, and it's quite possible with its reproductive capacity the few that are left will repopulate the planet again very quickly, I vote to open up Mars for those who have an interest with many benefits, many corporations will want to establish cities and mining posts on mars, and to ensure the security of these operations the Corporate Military Unions will be called in to defend, creating an arms race to defend themselves and possibly attack the aliens, with so much concern military technologies were developed quickly and without the need for incentive , as for the danger of aliens using death rituals to fortify themselves, that's not such a big concern anymore as we use AIs and robots for hard work with few humans involved.

as tempting as it is to blow everything out of orbit, we don't know if this race will simply adapt to this new environment, we can't run away from the confrontation anymore, we are being attacked and will have to invade their planets in the future, land battles will be inevitable we have to to gain experience against these aliens for when we have to fight in the future, with our AIs we won't have as much prey as the Corporate Military Unions doing most of the work I don't see why the bombing that very likely doesn't have such an effect.

The thing is though, if we bomb them Mars stops being a planet and starts to be a big debre field. And even if they can survive in space (I doubt it) they wouldn't be able to do anything to hurt us, how would they even be able to?

In my mind, Mars is only useful to make sure we don't let our ground tech slack (even then this is only if we decide to be stupid and ignore it, which we wont) and a place to live in once this war is over. Neither of those are good enough for me, we can still exploit its resources regardless if the planet is intact or not and we have more than enough places to colonize anyway.

Edit: To use a term you said, its not worth the effort of fighting over.

So, you won't be reducing it to a field of rocks, that much firepower is a tad beyond you. The plan was to put enough fire into the crust over the course of months to force it to boil out and crack open, flooding the entire planet with superheated lava as well as collapsing their entire underground structure.

The planet wouldn't be habitable by humans for a long time, but it would still be vaguely spherical, if all goes to plan.

[X] Corporate System Security Industry (1230)
-[X] Naval Buildup (450): Build 10 Prometheus class cruisers to increase defenses of the Sol System.
-[X] Drone Armies (280): Build and Deploy 10 Drone Infantry Armies (150 PF), 3 Drone Armor (60 PF) Armies, and 3 Drone Air Armies (60 PF) to Mars. They are to increase and hold territory in our Martian domain for permanent settlement in the Red Planet. Allowing it to open up for the many economic concerns for the system.
-[X] Fusion Technologies (200 PF): Provide further funding to fusion technologies and see with its weaponization against the alien menace.
-[X] Martian Moon Research Cities (100 PF): Phobos and Deimos will be a great site for researching better military technologies and to study the wreckage of the Battle of Sol. Provide the European defense establishment facilities in these moons and a site where safety standards can be lax for weapons and armor testing. Any military corporation is able to have facilities in these cities as long as they are able to pay the rental fees.
-[X] Project Akashawami (200 PF): The clamping down of alien sympathizers is of utmost priority to system stability. Creating predictive software able to analyze both digital and physical information with accurate results on suspected cults against stability. With those arrested in the corporate states being viable candidates of their memories being uploaded as part of increasing the accuracy of predictions as well as lobotomizing them for future experiments. In addition, this data can be sold to law enforcement, intelligence agencies, PMCs with a security service, and advertisers on both clean and criminal information.

So here's the plan increasing the corporate security apparatus and finding test subjects for our other unethical projects I want my corporate dystopia goddammit. In addition to building more armies and ships, I would also like to make sure fusion would be able to increase our money and thee 200 PFs on some projects because I expect blowback on Akashawami and Fusion is still experimental and the HE-3 mines are already starting so we need to make sure they make money.

Also voting again for:
[X] Continue the ground war. (Your turn actions should include some method to engage in greater warfare, as one thousand ground troops will not suffice at all.)

for me it's better to just give the Corporate Military Unions a chance to see if together with the AIs they can at least keep the place profitable if it's too much work and damages, we can always bomb on the other shift

I mean I don't really care about the quality of life for the new colonists who are going to live there mostly because it's the other people's jobs to do that and making money is our prime motivator. Besides, it's still a disgrace that our operations in moneymaking are still weak because of this war mostly scrimping on these potential businesses of death we are having. Soon these aliens will know how to fear the bottom line.

[X] Corporate System Security Industry: With bioweapons! (1230)

-[X] Project Wells (200 PF): A team of specially modified drones will extract and analyse all alien biomass and transmit all the data back to preposed Phobos and/or Deimos research sites (or earth if both isn't available) where our best scientist will look over the biological data with the goal of developing and deploying an airborne Biowepion that could adversely survive in the martian atmosphere and adversely affect the aliens' reproduction cycle and/or cause they death. The bioweapon should also have a relatively short lifespan outside (less than 24 hours) its target host to decrease chances of infection for future colonists.

same plan as @ALanos's expect I swapped the needlessly cruel secret police program with an anti-alien bioweapon.

I like this bioweapons plan even if it doesn't work let's get more knowledge about the biology of the aliens, as for the unnecessarily cruel secret police program, I really think it's a good move to make next turn we always need new guinea pigs, too who cares with human rights nowadays there is money to be made

Look the secret police gives the dystopian flavor and revote on continuing the ground war your vote won't be counted when you revote.
Does the "dystopian flavor" helps us with the current Aliens invasion any way shape or form?

No it doesn't.

And besides bioweapon resurch is totally on brand with SciFi megacorps. And nobody would complain since rules of war only applies to humans.

Don't put the aliens on Earth put them in Luna and get the poor schmucks in the Lunar colonies to hold the bag when a containment breach happens. At least we can map out and kill them easier with how much less available space there is to escape. Since its just cities rather than the breathable air of Earth outside of those facilities.

Actually, yes dissidents and cultists are our main adversaries on Earth and her colonies and if we're able to make money along the way then the soggy tissue paper known as the Declaration of Human Rights can go where it belongs.

We won't be taking the live aliens to earth or such. Just they bio-data for analysis.

"Come on you apes, you wanna live forever?!"

I'm sad that the people who want to vote Mars to smithereens keep on hating money and caring more about these non-profitable projects. We need more money and Mars can be developed through the military industry. Sure blood will be comically spilt but the profits and warmongering will be glorious.

now a true capitalist brother, don't worry one day they understood our mentality and maybe one day they will generate as much profit as one of us

I managed to derp and put an additional 10 PF for the drone armies but since they don't have anything to add to I'm sure the bonus money will be used for something or a congratulations to ourselves by this shiny bonus.

Every proper capitalist knows that success is about learning how to play the game, how to outcompete your competitor. How can we ever make our ground game competitive if we flip the table in a tantrum just because our opponent has a better hand than us and knows the game better?

So I realize I misworded a section of the update, where I wrote that Fusion must be cracked, I moreso meant deploying it to the mass market. It's currently immensely expensive and hard to build.

Either a subsidized construction action or some form of cheapening research would be my suggestions.
