Bloody Evolution (RWBY / LoR)

I kind of don't like the explicitly pushing Ironwood down, because it will make it harder Binah to pull him up again.

I kind of really don't want to pull him up again, so I am going to make sure he stays down.

[x] Plan: We are innocent, I swear!
-[x] Binah begins at the Nirvana, wouldn't want people to be suspicious of a fast response. Teleport to Penny after some delay to help her take control of the situation with her semblance.
-[x] Courage also begins at Nirvana to give access to the teleport, will go to the paladins right after to help.
-[x] Ash will be at the colosseum, to have her music calm as many peoples as possible in one go and makes it so that there are no Grimms.
-[x] Ask Saffron to go to a place out of the way, wouldn't want Miltia to be hurt and lead to the king getting out at the worst possible time.
-[x] Ask Roman if he can have Neo be conveniently close to the paladins, allowing her to act fast, reassure him she will receive reinforcements if he hesitate.
-[x] Call Penny right as the attack is about to begin, distract her a little when it begins by casting some doubts on Ironwood, make sure she doesn't stop it in the cradle but try and make her the hero of the day, maybe she can take control back from the flagship? Do make sure it doesn't happen too fast though.
-[x] After the attack, try to find as many ways to blame Ironwood as the one responsible, manipulate the public opinion before he can try to find his bearings.

[X] Plan: Clerks Don't Count

This plan hasn't been activated yet, but I like the extra plausible deniability.

[X] Plan: Clerks Don't Count

I am leery of delaying Penny and directly casting shade at Ironwood, because it could cast suspicion on us, even if we do it indirectly. Ironwood will have his problems by himself.

Edit: How visible is using Lock on virtual stuff? We could try locking the robots through their connections after the virus is issued, so they carry out their commands and their IFF can't be accessed until the charge of the Lock runs out, which Binah can probably time well.

This should also work against Penny just shutting them down for...at least some time, which is all it needs.

i'm a bit disappointed Binah's not being harder on ironwood, well can can always kill him and watts later.

eighteen or so people: vote to knock Ironwood down and then watch if he gets back up

two (of an opposing vote, admittedly), after the vote:

no wonder Binah made it clear she can and will veto chat at times. Listening to chat would be like visiting Arkham Asylum for advice.

[] Plan: Clerks Don't Count
-[] Ask Watts if he can have the robots focus on combatants and maximize collateral damage instead of casualties without arousing suspicion. Having the robots focus on combatants and perform scorched earth tactics should maximize collateral damage while minimizing civilian deaths. We can deal without this, but it makes things go significantly better.
-[] Tell Watts to monitor the robots and start the rebellion when the patrols cross in front of Nirvana, are away from Safron's date, and once Penny is away from the main ship.
--[] Binah, Ash, and Courage will stop the attack on Nirvana and prevent the clerks from getting hurt too badly
--[] Once Nirvana is safe, go out yourself and stop the robot rebellion under the pretense of payback
--[] Send out Ash and Courage to calm the masses after Nirvana is safe
---[] Before the attack happens, have Ash and Courage plan out places to teleport between as inconspicuously as they can
-[] Act so as to not attract suspicion to yourself. Contact Love, Anemone, and Safron only as necessary to not arouse their suspicions.

sounds good

I'm awake again and yeah, there's basically no way for us to completely dodge suspicions considering Penny. Not unless- Actually, no, Watts can't magically hack into her, he needs a connection and Penny is not a wifi hotspot.

Penny being on the main flagship risks the event being shut down before it begins. The invention of Watt's rival completely shutting down his plans from the get-go through no merit said rival intended is poetic but also inconvenient as fuck. Considering we're the only ones who know about Penny's Semblance, taking her out of the flagship and then the robots rebelling immediately gives her reason to suspect us. Especially since we have to make sure she won't get teleported up there by one of the Magical Girls.

That means we have to:
  1. Lure Penny off of the flagship
  2. Do so in a way where accessing the Magical Girls would be difficult for her
  3. Do so in a way that she won't suspect us afterwards
Now, the obvious and most direct way to do this is Murder, as the dead cannot point fingers at us and cannot interfere even after being teleported. Unfortunately, I doubt this thread would be conducive to killing Penny, considering all the effort we went through with her already.

Some solutions thing I can think off the top of my head:
  1. Tell Penny to go out and explore Vale on her own again; This adds the difficulty of 'finding a Magical Girl' to Penny teleporting up there, which is good for us.
  2. Tell Penny to go and see the tournament; She shouldn't know Love and Anemone, so them teleporting her into the flagship is less likely.
  3. Tell Penny to come to the Nirvana; We'll have to have Courage and Ash start elsewhere, but with this Binah can keep an eye on her and prevent any untimely teleports.
No matter what we do, Binah will catch suspicion from Penny just because of the timing. So we'll have to put up a smokescreen to kill those suspicions as quickly as possible.

So we'd probably have to add these to the plan:

-[] Invite Penny for a cup of tea before the attack starts to prevent her from resolving things too quickly
-[] Once the attack starts, keep a close eye on Penny. Naturally as possible, have her get teleported to the flagship only after the attack has dealt sufficient damage.
-[] Ash and Courage will go out into Vale and wait for the attack to start. They have to be gone before Penny arrives.

Is there anything else I missed?

Hey, I had to appeal to the thread's bloodlust somehow.

This plan seems a lot better thought out than others. I will put my trust in it. It also goes alongside the intention of the previous vote instead of trying to deviate from it.

I miss one day from being sick huh. I'm also terrible at planning so no vote for me quite yet.

Well, to be fair, the context is different, and also there were plenty of people - including me! - who had absolutely no love for ironwood and no desire to see him come back.

At the very least, the winning vote has been mostly consistent with regards to the context they were done in.

I'd like to state once again that it's super poetic that Watt's entire plan he's risking his life could've gotten destroyed entirely because of his rival's invention through no merit inherent to said invention. Penny's Semblance could've literally been anything, and the one the cosmic dice roll landed on just so happens to be perfectly designed to screw with Watts in particular. Fucking unreal.

I didn't read any of it, but this title intrigues me.

See? The title is putting in work already!

I vote for the most interesting option that keeps my favorite/ Interested characters alive. And I just so happen to not caring in the slightest about ironwood.
And his fall will mean we have a better chance at killing off the mustache bastard.

To be honest, Ironwood was the one to kill Jacques in canon...so wouldn't having him work with us means that Jacques gets doubled the chance of dying?

You know. I don't read long plans... Seriously I'm lazy and I don't wanna read them. So I'm just gonna go for the most voted :V

lol, lmao, I don't have a gun, but I have a three or four bone cutting cleavers! Let's have a feast on his corpse District 23 style!

tldr appears to be,

destroy buildings, dont kill people kill less people
get penny away from good tactical position and put ash and courage in good ones for calming people
get the robots to cause problems in front of our tea shop as an excuse to look like a hero (or at least, not like someone who planned it)

Actually, there's also the clause for attacking combatants.
Ask Watts if he can have the robots focus on combatants and maximize collateral damage instead of casualties without arousing suspicion. So "people" will be harmed.
