An appeal to meditation voters, how do you think Kukaku is going to try helping train Ichigo?
Probably by talking to those who she knows have Shikai. If she has time. There's a chance meditation will happen with the once a week vote with Kukaku or at least a greater chance than there will be if Ichigo parks himself and refuses to leave.

Yeah, it even says here that the academy lets us go only as long as whatever we do doesn't interfere with our studies. I think missing classes counts as interfering with our studies. The basics are important. Our goal isn't to get Shikai as fast as we can but to graduate as fast as we can. To do that we need to stay ahead of our studies while trying to achieve Shikai. I think all of the options will allow us to achieve Shikai in the coming weeks. It is just that some of them have us achieve Shikai at the expense of learning the basics of being a Soul Reaper.

Yeah, unfortunately every single one of the people voting to stay are idiots who think people instantly graduate the moment they get Shikai. Which is stupidity to the highest caliber.

Even if we decline Kukaku's help she still seems to be inviting us back for a meal. So we are likely to still be spending time with her and the rest of the Shiba clan. We will still be interacting with them.
Also, I feel like Shikai is something personal. In that is is better if you achieve it by your own means and power. And that you are likely to understand both your Zanpakuto spirit and Shikai better by going the meditation route.
Edit: In canon Ichigo went full speed ahead into his training because there was always a crisis that needed him to work fast and hard. But as a consequence I feel he didn't understand his own powers as well as he could have. We are unlikely to graduate earlier by achieving Shikai in under a week because we still need the basics.

Well, Ganju has something that looks like a zanpakuto in the TV show. It's a black and white swordy-thing, that he uses for sword fights. But it's true, he never calls it a zanpakuto. Could just be a funny looking sword.

It's just a knife. The "black blade, shiny cutting edge" thing is a fairly common thing for anime, it doesn't actually indicate the blade in question is a zanpakuto. Especially considering that for zanpakuto that aesthetic primarily shows up on shikai, and Ganju of all people having a shikai is... lol.

Lol no, you're just being paranoid rule sticklers, "interfere with your studies" means actually interfering and causing you to fall behind or effecting your grades, achieving Shikai so quickly would count as a damn good reason especially if effort is made to keep up our studies while training.

Ganju's knife and Zangetsu's Shikai form are a style of blade designed to split armor that's why they look like that.

By that arguement, the meditation option would be the correct one to take. Because that looks like it is actually the fastest path to Shikai. Kukaku was never a shinigami, and probably doesn't know too much. It looks like we actually learn Shikai faster with out her by meditation. So, I don't understand the argument for what doesn't look like the fastest path while also maybe falling behind on some lessons.

Again, training with Kukaku's advantage isn't really about getting the Shikai faster it's spending time with the surviving Shina clan.
