Except we won't be breaking any rules.
We were told right to our face that we can skip as many classes as we want, and only the exams matter. That means we could have happily never went to a single class, and as long as we turned up at the exams, they wouldn't be able to punish us.
Granted, some sticklers might not like it, but no rules would be broken.

I kinda assumed the opposite that he Hated Toshiro because of Momo to Aizen she was the embodiment of how nice and obedient he had to be, how people were impressed by a fake persona he had been keeping up for years. So all her pain was a payoff for how long he couldn't be a smug asshole. So having her be attacked by friends gave him pure happiness, it was his release.

I am tempted to pick this one, but Zangetsu seems quite confrontational here. Then again, he's always being antagonistic to Ichigo. But, since Ichigo can actually see and talk to him, means that Zangetsu is also quite eager to proceed to Shikai.

Asking cause here is another potential reason for Ichigo to get stronger faster.
Once he remembers that is was Grand Fisher that killed his mother and that he is a hollow, thus it will occur to Ichigo that his mother soul is currently inside Fisher's stomach, so that will motivate him to find him to free his mother; thus the need to get stronger will be even greater.

The meditation thing has gained a lot of traction there, yeah. Getting into a good, solid fight with Ichigo's zanpakuto seems likely to prove effective.
It makes a lot of sense that Kukaku has no idea how Shikai actually works. We never see her or Ganju use it, that I recall.
