It occurs to me that, depending on context, she may be entirely serous about the sandwich and still eating it because she's a hollow and those are always hungry.

Alternatively, wasn't Hiyori previously the LT of the Royal Guard chef gal, Kirio Hikifune before she was tapped to move on up to the Spirit King's turf. Further, wasn't she seemingly very attached to/more obedient&respectful to Hikifune, compared to her normal caustic reaction to pretty much everyone? I'm talking about those tiny glimpses we got of that particular Captain/LT set actually existing rather than just being historical errata - to normal Hiyori-ness, it seemed so outside the norm. And she is the Royal Guard chef, with the crazy cooking. So it seems like there's potential cause to think Ichigo going SECRET RECIPE: BATTLE REISHI COOKING or whatever and whipping up spirit foods could cause a staggering sort of 180 in terms of initial impression.

More specifically, just imagine if he got his hands on one of Hikifune's recipes, and Sarugaki tasted it and knew he made it - the notion of that surly spitfire having to deal with that is pretty crazy.

...She'd probably STILL beat him up.
