Oh, I know Ichigo wouldn't do that. It's just as it is Takako feels Ichigo's surpassing her by a lot, so she may feel he's leaving her behind in more ways than just strength.

That is a good point. I am concerned we don't have enough time to really help her, though, with Zangetsu's deadline.

To that end, getting into danger with Rukia seems like a better way to get Ichigo used to combat, and to make an impression with her division. Potentially leads to progress towards a real world posting, and Bankai, with some luck.

May be wishful thinking, though.

You saw what happened to her in the tournament? In real situations, the hollow isn't going to let her friends drag her away when she gets blitzed. And before you say that we'll just defend her, ask yourself if you really think we're going to be strong enough to do that and not get ourselves killed at the same time?

So what your saying is that Ichigo needs a [meat shield]buddy that can take a hit or someone he won't need to worry about protecting, or giving trauma to someone like our new buddy

If we meet an Espada Rukia is the only one who'll have a chance of surviving. Which is why I'm voting for

Hmm. I'm looking at it this way:

Rukia is the most likely to be real help. Plus if we're going to train with her, this is a good start.

Takako would be good bonding. We can show Bestie that we still value her, and think she's good enough to come with us. (Ignoring for the moment it's also because Ichi has no friends)

The problem, however, is between her mental state and overall noobishness, she may be killed.

Jirobo may be a meat shield. But TPK may troll us and have him get the kill. To subvert expectations.

So:

For me, at least.

I don't really care about Rukia either way and I'd rather have someone I want to see rather than a meatshield.

I mean... is there anything really wrong with that? We need to impress Komamura but we don't necessarily need to be the MOST impressive, and what inviting him will say about our temperament can be good in and of itself. Especially if there's going to be an Espada as it seems, SURVIVING will probably be suitably impressive.

Plus it'd be kinda funny to go from one friend to three friends in the course of two weeks.

    • Takako is probably going to take a hit to her self esteem from that unless she manages to pull off an underdog victory. Since we aren't supposed to rely on Shounen tropes, this seems like a bad.

    And Jirobo running off could be funny, but if he dies Ichigo will feel guilty.

    So, sticking with Rukia.

    thats either someone looking for chad, or Tatsuki having seen Ichigo who then legged it.

    Edit: wait can't be Chad they said they was loud, almost positive it's Tatsuki now.
