I'd like to meet up with Kukaku and Kommamura, but Zangetsu is part of us. We're going to need to learn to work together. We made a unilateral move, so he decided to embarras us somewhere we weren't in danger.

Then again meeting with Kukaku might get us to Yoruichi and special training.

A Zanpakutō can be used and mastered by someone else other then its original user.
Just inquire with Kukaku if anyone other then Kaien or Isshin joined up and if they did if they left their sword behind.
I know Kaien's was killed and if there are no other Shiba Reapers in days long past then ask for Engetsu it's not like Isshin is using her these days.

I know how he became a Captain. The point I was trying to make was: of the three ways to become one, he did so in the way that doesn't require the trust or approval of the other Captains.

Given his general disposition, they probably still don't trust him much, either. The fact that he betrayed them during the Soul Society arc would only make them right to be mistrustful of him.

Or maybe he does care. Either way that cannot be proven or disproven until the meeting with Komamura.

Also, thank you for referring to an earlier argument of mine when we were voting on whether or not to keep Zangetsu released or not.

I dunno, Zangetsu has never been a really good partner as far as I understand. Yhwach's fragment was the bro, inverted Ichigo was kind of a piece of shit most of the time. I don't really want to appease his every whim but it was the vote to contain him that caused this so I'm not sure.

I think it is stupid to try and work with someone like Zangetsu at all
He put Ichigo at risk with that stunt
Sure it was not a major risk but that's like saying "Oops I burnt your bed down" as opposed to "I burned your house down"
Its literal "Just a pank bro" tier shit.
How can you ever trust someone who is willing to risk you harm to prove a point out of spite.

It was the other way around actually, the Fragment straight up admitted that he would have killed Ichigo if he had gone too far with his shinigami and hollow powers. Zangetsu was the one who actively saved Ichigo time and time again whenever the idiot got in over his head, on top of wanting Ichigo to excel and his potential to be fully realized.

You see, Ichigo's Inner World is full of skyscrapers, those buildings, according Zangetsu represented Ichigo's full potential. When Ichigo underwent the Dangai training, his Inner World had changed to being a copy of Karakura, and it pissed Zangetsu off that he would squander the potential he had.

The reason why it seems like the Fragment was a bro was because he kept Zangetsu suppressed and took credit for things the zanpakutou spirit did.

There aren't many people that visit Kukaku that we can't see more regularly. All of them are a Big Deal.
Komamura will probably be understanding about having to wait a little.

So, just to clarify, people really don't care that Zangetsu is pissed at us when we still have an upcoming fight with Zaraki Kenpachi?
